Apparently she was in Tree With Deep Roots but I don't remember her face at all. Kim Hyun-soo played a major role in Good Doctor and was quite unforgettable in that.

I suppose Twilight does have the "melodramatic romance" thing going, so a lot of kdrama is probably similar in that regard. But I somehow doubt that Twilight is nearly as funny as this show. :P

"Obsessed" and "stalker" are strong words. I'm not done with the show yet (so close) but Song Yi has shown a couple times that she is willing to walk away from him if she's convinced that's what he really wants.

Not only that, but the heroines in this and Twilight couldn't be more different.
Also, the love triangle is not a SUPERNATURAL love triangle. Basically, the only similarity between this and twilight is that the heroine is in love with somebody who isn't technically human. That's it. That's all that Twilight and YWCFTS have in common. It just feels like its an unfair comparison.

I am never going to watch this show but I stumbled across this comment last night and made a mental note to log in today just to come here and give it a Heart.

They were probably perfectly amazing in that, too, but I admit I haven't seen it yet...

I'll just say this: anyone who doesn't like Cheon Song Yi as a character is someone I feel sorry for. That woman would be an absolute blast to hang out with.

Do Min Joon, on the other hand, has taken a long journey from "Coolest Hero Ever" after that scene with the car (you know the one I mean) to "Most Punchable Hero Ever" over the course of 14 episodes. To quote Song Yi: "That jerk, seriously..."

But she waited a long time and wrote him a ton of letters. She looked for him, waited to hear anything, but got nothing. And everyone in her life told her to move on. So she tried it, but when he came back, her feelings were still there (even if she became too self-absorbed to act on them appropriately).

I agree that this drama isn't written very well, but really, she didn't do anything all that horrible just by dating another guy. You're kinda coming off as an angry misogynist projecting your own experiences onto a harmless work of fiction.

Uh... you seem to have misunderstood something important: Dong Joo completely left Soo Wan behind without saying anything. From her perspective, he just disappeared out of her life without notice and with no further contact at all. Why, exactly, should a woman wait her whole life for a guy who completely abandoned her?

They don't emphasize it enough, but they mention early on that the Prime Minister (or whatever) needs heart surgery and the North Koreans want Park Hoon to do the surgery because they believe they can manipulate him into killing the Prime Minister on the operating table. At least, that's what the audience is led to believe.

My wife was really confused about it too, for most of the show.

True, that was frustrating. They have a cute moment or two ("You want to see whats under this t-shirt? *wink*") but he's mostly unfeeling toward her. I'm a pushover, so there's no way I could be that brusque toward someone that adorable.

I really disagree with your opinion (still), but if Jang Hyuk really did scream "I am Ddol Bok!" in every drama he was in, that would hilarious and awesome and I would like him even more.

What is the deal with Kim Hyun-soo and Jo Hee Bong being in all the same dramas? They're both in this, they were both in Tree With Deep Roots, and they were both in Good Doctor. Are they related or something?
Also, is Kim Hyun-soo the only teenage girl in Korea who can act? Don't get me wrong, she's talented and adorable, but it's weird that she gets cast as every teenage girl ever.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to ignore all this hyperbole here in the comments. It's like "These people can't all be crazy, can they?" :P
Still, I may give this another shot, but it's going to stay at the bottom of the list for now.

I tend to "root for the underdog" a lot, so I understand second lead syndrome. However, Lee Gun was way too amazing for me to feel it here at all. In fact, I hated Daniel the entire time for no other reason than his very sincere and sweet love for Mi Young. Although he was a very good guy, I just loved the Gun/Mi Young pairing too much.

First two episodes are good. After that... your mileage may vary.

I give up: I'm kidding. I was making playful jokes to express in an unorthodox way how much I enjoyed this drama. That's all.

Yes, you're definitely right. However, there is one exception: if someone's opinion is that this drama is "not their cup of tea", then their opinion is wrong and they are probably a murderer or something. It's one of those weird exceptions that proves the rule.
