They use the term Childhood Sweethearts “Qīngméizhúmǎ” very loosely in Asian dramas. Basically if you were close in anyway or grew up together you’re considered Childhood Sweethearts. It doesn’t matter if you actually liked that person or not. He was that third wheel who followed them to the hotpot restaurant and bought the birthday cake for XY.

That’s where I recognized him. He was the jerk ex-boyfriend/antagonist in Be Together.

I’m thinking maybe it’s to leave room for FL’s character growth? In the MV, it seems that she’ll mature as she learns/practices taking care of the business.

So from previews the high school third wheel will make his appearance next week at the competition.

In the drama it looks like he was raised by his dad who had a lot of debt so probably why mom left and they’re not close. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I like both Janice and ZBB. I just finished The Love You Give Me and liked that one too. This one so far is nice. Waiting on As Beautiful As You and Our Interpreter. Those look good too. Loving how the FLs are styled in these dramas.

In the video, it looks like it where ML gives up his lil’ brother and FL for a bit…as if he’s doing it for their own good and development.

Lol…both Ying Yin Yin and Li Qin’s voices annoy me. The actress that plays Li Qin plays a lot of annoying characters, especially in historical dramas (Dugu, TSOML, etc.).

I watched on Tencent app…right before she walked in with coffee, he said “there’s no such thing as free lunch”. There’s no where in that episode that had any words of rape that I saw.
