That's how it is supposed to be in the novel. Ji xing's characteristics in the novel are supposed to be cute,…
I guess what I meant was for him to break it off when he first felt they were moving in different directions. What I appreciated was that he didn’t cheat and when he broke it off, he really broke it off, severing contact. Yes, he was a good boyfriend which I don’t fault him at all for trying to make things work even through his own sacrifices but sometimes, it’s more merciful to cut it off earlier. Ji Xing was so oblivious in their relationship that she just didn’t see the signs that we all saw. I’m hoping they keep the drama close to the novel cause I’d hate it if they add a tropey cheating thing because some audience like the angst.
As for Ji Xing and her business, I don’t fault her for chasing her dreams either. Just sometimes you have to know your priorities. I tell that to my staff about work/life balance. It’s hard and sometimes you have to prioritize what’s more important to you and own that decision. She sacrificed her relationship with her first love.

Agree about the break up. Han Ting and Ji Xing after they broke up established a good relationship knowing where they wanted to be. Can’t wait to see all of this in the drama. Both leads look really good with their styling for this drama.
Lol…I’m probably going to read the novel again before the drama is aired but will probably skip her first relationship the second time around. I could tell from the beginning that Shao YiChen and Ji Xing wanted different things in life and that they’d never work. Shao Yichen wasn’t a bad guy but what I hated was him not speaking up earlier. As you said communication is a big deal.
I’m curious as to where they’re going to start the drama at since there’s 3 parts to the novel. I hope it’s balanced out since it’s 40 episodes and LiLi/Shao Yichen are listed as main characters. I hope they don’t change It to where LiLi directly betrays JiXing. I thought setting up her friend’s ex-boyfriend shortly after their break-up was bad enough, it’d be more awkward if they did a twist like in Be Together. Shao Yichen had a prominent role in part 1 but I don’t feel like LiLi had a prominent role in the novel in comparison to Tu Xiaomeng to warrant being a main role unless they’ve changed it.
Will there be more love or romance scenes in this drama? I haven't read this novel yet.
When it comes to major awards, I think she’s already beaten those traffic actresses. Most of her awards are for her acting versus popularity awards. She’s got so much respect from people in the industry, especially the directors and actors/actresses she’s worked with. She reminds me of Lee Seyoung who isn’t as popular as Idol Actresses because their focus is doing well and growing in their craft so that they can do what they enjoy for a long time. And being low key gives them peace to be themselves.

I actually got the same premise you did from reading the novel after piecing together Zeng Di’s thoughts and Han Ting’s reactions. I thought that when they first got together, Han Ting may have saw potential in a relationship with Zeng Di but they were too much alike in their tactics that business over-ruled any potential romance. It seemed there were hints of bitterness between Han Ting and Zeng Di regarding her company since she told Ji Xing that Han Ting started out mentoring her in business as well which gave the idea that she may have used him and betrayed him (open relationship thing was probably not supposed to be that way at first) which turned him off romance. I felt like they held an attraction that became a frenemy with benefits relationship. While Zeng Di held a possessive obsession with him, he was more casual where he could leave at any time.
It was interesting with the one night stand thing with Ji Xing that took place in his office bedroom. They had a bet that made them act on their attraction. Things became different because Ji Xing was pretty straight forward on her business and them until the attempted betrayal.
Waiting for this drama to be aired! Hope it will come out this 2023.https://youtu.be/GPCa0zbtiOE https://youtu.be/15uB3lemaS0
They’re both styled beautifully. Love how both leads look. I want those white boots but with shorter heels. There’s pictures of them with bouquets so that means they’re done filming right?
For me, it's too soon to tell. But I think it's holding up pretty well. The two dramas are so similar that it's…
I was comparing between Love Destiny 1 & 2. I like Love Destiny part 1 but am not interested in part 2 since it’s the same couple instead of what they originally planned for part 2. I’m more into Phetra Nareumit. The concept for Phetra is different from Love Destiny since they actively found and transported N’ek back in time.

I liked Love Destiny the first time around but when it’s on repeat with same characters, even if there’s a slight change in plot, it’s just not catching my attention. It’s really milking the popularity of Pope/Bella pairing. I thought originally Part 2 was supposed to focus Janwad and Reung, the second couple, but oh well.
In all my years of watching lakorn I’ve never seen a nang rai so evil and cunning! Mae Bua is vicious just for…
I think it’s no longer about feelings but about possession. In her world, everything she wants belongs to her and everyone else, including her own sister, are beneath her. It’s all about her and control over her “world”. One of the oldest lakorn tropes, when you don’t get someone that you think belongs to you, you destroy everyone in your way. And it’s always the cruelest in the historical lakorns because they always resort to killing, setting up for rape, and black magic.
My opinion but I feel like it’s the way VS is styled in some of her past dramas. However, from the pictures, they’re going to look good together. Her styling is actually matching the role she’s playing.
Her lifelong dream is to be remembered as being sickly, which I think is kind of a lame goal lol. But I guess…
It’s that delicate flower, willowy delicate beauty that’s romanticized as the perfect lady in historic texts and poems. I think that’s the joke in the drama. I love it because it’s the opposite of her true self.
Wait a min, the crown prince was severely injured in ep 23! But he is recovering super fast after falling off…
He was still injured from the arrow when his father hugged him. The Jinpo prince had a c nance to get away across the border while they were at the bottom. Also, this is Cdrama martial arts, they always can walk away after falling off a cliff, seen it in almost every historical cdrama.
Lol…the two fathers are hilarious in ep24 and CP is willing to forfeit a harem to get his girl. That may just save him a headache since harems are trouble.
I think it'd be hard to do anything to He Yuan Ting, because they don't want another war... And this concubine…
Women from the harem don’t leave for exile. They get banished to the cold cold palace which is what her palace in the novel turned into, reduced servants and rations. There were guards outside her palace.
Okay after The starry love, road home another drama ends today. Not bad but not great. We can still watch and…
I don’t think it was a true invitation but more of rubbing it in. I didn’t like that he got away either which was changed from the novel ending. He was imprisoned in the novel along with Awa. Consort is most likely left in the cold palace. Wish they ended it with the epilogue where the Emperor abdicates to live in peace with his concubines minus evil one who’s in cold palace and CP/LL rule as Emperor/Empress still always by each other’s side.

The Road Home promo event. TSY couldn’t be there cause of filming but they called her.
