Thank goodness that didn’t happen here. Some dramas that start out with a good concept gets hijacked by secondary characters that make you question if you’re watching the right drama midway through. Those are the worst.
In ep 25, I can’t help but to see the contrast between the reactions of Gao and Zhao Teng when they ask LX for his opinion on something they created. LX responds in the same flippant way he always does but it doesn’t escalate into an argument with ZT because ZT isn’t taking it personally even though he created the game so no inferiority complex there.
So I've always been Team 'do not make LX suffer more' and I understand that ZY has to do the work to get closer…
I think that’s a given. Remember when ZY wanted LX to tell her about FYZ, she just stopped on the street and he went back for her. Before they got together he would just continue walking but he was totally putty in her hands in his own way after. She wants to communicate, he communicates 😆.

The novel was different and LX didn’t forgive him for a long time I think. In the novel, even though Gao betrayed LX, he was feeling guilty through it and it was more FZJ that was evil. LX wouldn’t even visit Gao in the hospital and he only let things go because of ZY.
My POV: Gao in the drama is delusional about his rivalry with LX and would most likely not go easy on him. IMO, it was a one sided rivalry and now we get to see LX actually battle him out when before LX never competed with Gao. LX was just going about his own business and never meant to suppress Gao, he just wanted their product to be developed properly to his standards.
