I put off watching today’s episode because I was a little disappointed in Zhao attack with the pen ending. I don’t know why but I was expecting something bigger. This is one of the few CDrama I’ve watched that is giving 4 episodes to complete a relationship so definitely had to be a happy ending.

That’s just an excuse…he couldn’t face his feelings.

I was the same way…wanted to give him the benefit of doubt but he totally proved us wrong.

I had the inkling of his personality on the first day when he said oh so that’s the person who came in first in the entrance exams. They call our names in order of our scores. He just kept talking about awards, recognition, proving he’s better.

What I got from Professor Lin’s story is that winning competitions doesn’t always decide your fate for the best. Professor Lin won the competition which earned a prestigious place at the University, but that was more of a trap because he was kind of stuck while his classmates had to go out, get practical experience and became industry leaders. The practice base was setting them all up for experience which is why Professor Lin fully supported it.

It really irked Gao when LX was able to set up the base and people chose that over his Interest Group. I think his insecurities started from there and then each incident just made it worse.

Yeap…I feel like it’s a closure to the youthful idealistic love so they can move onto a new beginning of their relationship, a more mature even deeper one, if they can get any deeper into each other…lol. Their eyes, whether together or apart say it all.

Yes…LX at the base in the part 1 is more like how I’ve heard Steve Jobs be described.

Yeap…she’s the best FL in CDrama for me so far. Both LX and ZY are beautifully flawed characters that are relatable because no one’s perfect no matter how hard they try.

Yeap…that’s why I didn’t understand when people kept saying he dropped out to go into business. He didn’t drop out. He knows he has to have at least an undergrad degree for credibility in business. He just didn’t take the graduate school exam because he was suspending graduate school to start L&P.

From what some people have said, they’ve been following the novel about 80% or so and the changes from the novel made it better unlike most adaptations. They’ve combined characters to reduce redundancy and added spice to some while maintaining the essence of the original. I’m hoping they stuck with their formula till the end cause it’s worked so far.

It’s an awkward situation because you see ZY being straight forward with him and feeling bad about his attention/care. He’s just stuck to her waiting for her to be ready for him?? At least that’s how it feels like to me. At the same time, she’s giving me the brother/sister vibes with him. She feels moved but not in the way he wants. The only thing I can see if she ever accepted him is that it would be out of gratitude in hopes of it turning into something more. She’s already experienced the overwhelming love that she can’t let go of. Even the ending of ep27 tells you that she’s still holding onto LZ but not overtly acting on it.

I like their discussion after meeting with the Lins. It also matches LX’s character. FYZ said that LX compartmentalizes his life and associations to where he doesn’t look back. When he got expelled in High School, he left everything behind at High School and moved on, started new once he got into college. FYZ and his sister are really the only people that he’s maintained from his past and that’s because they’re persistent in making sure to stay in his life whether he wants it or not. ZY realizes too so I think this is a first step for him where he moves on but makes the choice to maintain ZY in his life in a different capacity until he’s ready to own his feelings. And we know from trailers that when they face those feelings, the tso of them will be 🔥

I feel like the slap is going to be sooner. The previews for the next episode looks like they’re in that same area where he pretended to throw someone over the railing. HN is behind the hack into L&P and they’re trying to blame LX.

My opinion, he’s more of a friend and that conspiratorial cousin who helps you sneak out. I like him as a friend but not a life partner for her mainly because of that one part where ZY’s mom unilaterally moved ZY out into the apartment.

That’s what I thought but iQiyi still did it for one of their dramas not long ago.
