A small town where nobody knows what a kdrama is

This is a great watch if you prefer creepy over scary. I think it's great at making you feel unsettled rather than dumb jumpscares and making your heart race.

As humans we're not supposed to deal with so much stress, tragedy, and death, it's more natural for us to lose our empathy and sympathy to protect ourselves form feeling too much. We become saddened by death until we're saddened enough to not have enough energy to care. Just as over-consumption makes us lose our ability to enjoy, desensitization makes us become less human. Now we have become zombies.

He's an extremely charismatic actor. I hope he doesn't continue to be type casted a a bully and villain his whole career..

This was good, but it could've had much more depth into it. The trauma related to being a victim of bullying and the reason behind why people becomes bullies could've brought more emotional depth. There should've been more bromance between the ML and the bully before he got his memory, so that we could see the bully was still human that could get hurt and feel betrayal. They should've explored why he became a bully in the first place and how losing his memory could've been a hit of reality for him to realize who he was. There should've been more hurt for the ML bully friend group as well, they were friends for awhile and realizing that he had been lying should have hurt them. Just bullying him afterwards should've included at least some hesitations because they were his friends. They also could've showed how the bully group felt being treated different by the ML vs GyeongTae.

This show had all the workings to be a complex drama about what it means to fight, to be hurt, and to want to hurt. This could've been a great psychological drama.

The hospital scene in ep 6 was so well done. When he said "you're all I had" I lost it. What an amazing line delivery and emotional crying.

This is one the most most well written mysteries I've seen and I've definitely was of the best Chinese dramas I've ever seen. The only negative thing is the ending. You can tell that Chinese censorship/executives got their hands involved because the ending is rushed and doesn't match the moral and storyline of the rest of the show. The show is a 9/10 until the last few minutes. So watch it and lower you're expectations for the ending.

This is not a drama for people low on empathy. This drama shows two imperfect people, their trials in navigating…
It's really interesting how there are so many comments hating on the characters and the "red flags." That was the point. To show flawed individuals shaped by trauma and loss fall in love and deal with further difficulty. Having different perspectives in life and holding onto those goals rather than just immediately switching to the other's belief is much more realistic and wouldn't last in a long-term relationship.

I think it was beautiful seeing realistic characters make mistakes and reflect.

I actually really enjoyed the FL. She was a breath of fresh air. She was mature, intelligent, wise, but imperfect. Her complex regarding her disability and her trauma with loss shaped how she reacted to different things. She would be extremely mature in one scene and childish in the next. She made mistakes, but then reflected on them and analyzed why she reacted the way she did.

She is one of the most realistic characters I've seen and I much rather imperfect good matured characters than perfect characters who do no wrong.

On Step by Step Love May 22, 2024
This is one of the best most believable cdramas couples I've ever come across. They have great communication, are on the same level (mindset/headspace/equal power), have crazy chemistry, and share a really believable emotion intimacy and physical intimacy with all the gentle touches.

I fastforwarded all of the business and family drama up until the 20th episode where I gave up. The screenwriters who wrote such an interesting show for the first half went off the deep end trying to drag the series out. So 8/10 for eps 1-15. After that it goes downhill.

Title Eye Love You Spoiler
The beginning of the show was really good. The couple was fun, sweet, and simple. The series would've been much…
The whole thing with the picture book was completely nonsensical and dumb. There's no reason for the events to match up like that with the red ribbon, bubbles, and turtle thing. Min Hana didn't come from the future, so there's no way she could have written that to perfectly map out everything. And my gosh, are you telling me that when her boyfriend died she just assumed it was because of her power? She didn't think to look into the reason why and how he died and didn't know that he had past heart problems? She didn't look at the autopsy report and instead made an assumption out of thin air, then wrote a whole book about it, and ended up feeling guilty for 20 years??

Alsooo, why would Tae-Ho be willing to stay with her even if he'll die? They really didn't go through enough for their love for each other to be that deep. The whole time, it felt like they were in the beginning stages of a relationship. They felt like new lovers, not "I'll die for you" lovers.

Title Eye Love You
The beginning of the show was really good. The couple was fun, sweet, and simple. The series would've been much better if it had stayed a light-hearted romance and ended it with only 6-8 episodes instead of 10.

Instead they dragged out the plot by adding a partial love triangle, miscommunication, a FL who can't express herself, and took the supernatural plot too seriously. Sometimes magical things can just stay mysterious, we don't need to know how, why, and what the history of the power is. The power could have just been a fun plot point instead of an annoying way to drag out the plot and in turn kill the fun the power brought.

On A Shop for Killers May 14, 2024
This would've been better if it went in chronological order. Switching back and forth from a present day tense situation to the past, makes the action scenes less tense and the past less mysterious. If it went in order, we could discover things, watch action scenes not knowing who lives or dies, and then have a climax at the house. That would've allowed for more suspense, mystery, and we could learn to care for the characters before scary situations occur. Also there's way too many characters, the massive amount of killers in the opening are dumb, the plans are dumb, and a lot just doesn't make sense.

The acting is good. Lee Dong Wook is amazing as always and you can really tell that Hye Joon trained a lot for the series. So 7.5 for an okay plot and good acting.

This was genuinely really interesting. The mystery was complex with twists that were actually unique. I couldn't guess a single thing right, that's how original and fun this was. Don't let the low budget aspects stop you because the plot definitely makes up for it.

There's some ecchi type things in the first two eps, but it doesn't continue after that. So just push through a bit and you'll realize how complex the show actually is.

The way they look at each other in this drama AND in the movie My Happy Marriage πŸŒΈπŸ’ -- I'm still not over…
It's so interesting to me how crazy their chemistry was. I didn't feel any chemistry at all in My Happy Marriage, but here was through the roof! I would so watch a second season for them.

Haru's character is so interesting. He's this mystery of a character who is an amazing liar, but is sincere in his lying. He's able to manipulate others with good intentions? He's charismatic and brings the screen to life. There's a noticeable emptiness whenever he exits the screen. Meguro Ren did an absolutely amazing job. This is one of the best performances I've seen in a long time. He brought the series to life with every expression and line that he delivered.

I wonder when my boy Sana Hayato will stop be type casted at the y/n character. He's always the adorably awkward, kind, and sweet character no matter what he plays lol.

I never enjoy the business aspect of dramas, but this show was simply fascinating. The character Haru takes the world of business and essentially turns it into a game board for him to try and win then continue to the next round and beat higher bosses. I don't often get surprised by series anymore, but I was pleasantly surprised in each episode. The plot is unconventional, unexpected, and highly engaging.

I read the original webtoon. It's pretty messed up. I wonder how it'll translate to a live action and if they'll keep the same storyline.
