Not gonna lie, my main reason of wanting to watch this now is Gunsmile š I doubt heās a huge role, but he will always be my favorite & I will cherish any small crumbs I can get! Lol
However, the reviews so far sound great so Iām going to start it probably within the next few minutes!
See, I understood some of why Ritt was upset. I feel like it was more than just being played, it was the fact that he had so much guilt while assuming he was tricking the man he loved & was so worried he was hurting him all to find out that man knew the whole time. I understand feeling like a joke in that moment. Especially when finding out your best friend knew & said nothing, that was really where I was like āAh, okay, thatās kinda really messed up.ā However, Ritt is really dragging it now & overplaying the victim card. Also, what was even the point of that Pure/Phitcha/Ritt talk?? It seemed like he was really starting to see the other point of view just to let it go in one ear & out the other immediately after. The fake kidnapping scene seemed pointless in the end too, because again, Ritt went back into his whole āwoah is me, I donāt think this love is realā thought process even after seeing Ittās true feelings.
I say this all the time for shows, I understand every story needs conflict & I understand that itās a 10 episode show that needs to extend that conflict until the last episode so it makes for a satisfying ending. But the way itās being executed is just the complete opposite. If you donāt plan to have Ritt accept Ittās apology (even with him being partly to blame) then showing possible make up scenes feels fake & cheap.
Well, at least I got my boys, Pure & Phitcha, the real stars of my heart! Lol (However, I do also think making Pure be in on the whole second deception arch was a weird choice)
I adore Pure & Phitcha so much but it feels like Pure isnāt fully listening to what Phitcha keeps saying. Like Pure understands him so well but keeps ignoring Phitchaās grievances by continuously saying things like (not verbatim) āItās great for you to be going back to Koreaā & āYou worked so hard, your dream will come true soonā after Phitcha literally told him to his face that itās his momās dream & his own dream has changed. Itās just a little annoying to me because he started out knowing Phitchaās feelings just by looking into his eyes but now he canāt even when listening to his words? I donāt know, not a huge deal, I still love them both the most in this series but itās just once thing thatās kinda felt off, like out of character almost.
Yeah, Iāve only noticed it the one time but it looked really weird & not like a normal CGI edit to me. It looked like those really bad AI clips where it just gets movements really wrong. Iām sure that was the effect they were going for but it was just so odd & out of place. They could have used so many different ways to indicate a body swap, like how many shows & films have done before this.
I adore Progress in this series so much! Iām only halfway through episode 1 but heās so great at playing a…
Oh my God, Iām dumb! I just realized Progress plays in the Love Sick remake & thatās probably why I was getting heavy LS vibes! I only realized towards the end of episode 1 when I was like āAlmond is giving me LS vibes tooā¦. Wait, is he in the remake? IS PROGRESS IN THE REMAKE??ā Lol, for some reason I thought this was their first series, I didnāt think to check before commenting 𤦠I shouldāve know though, Progress is playing Ko exactly the way he played No. Definitely not a bad thing, heās really great at this type of character. Heās very believable at being a silly goofball & adds so much charm to the character!
I adore Progress in this series so much! Iām only halfway through episode 1 but heās so great at playing a lovable goofball! He also reminds me so much of Captain from his Love Sick days.
Thereās only 3 episodes out & they're about 10 minutes each. This also isnāt really the kind of series to have heavy kiss scenes, at least not this early since itās enemies to lovers lol
Iām going to watch the second season tomorrow but I will say this season started off really good! I canāt believe it took me so long to watch! I absolutely love the concept. However, the last two episodes were rushed & executed in such an odd way that felt so incomplete. I see from the synopsis of the second season, more will be explored, but it felt like they heavily glossed over what happened with Yeon Woo (not being too specific in case someone doesnāt want spoilers)
I understand itās a short series, but this type of concept deserves a longer & much more detailed series. They could have done so much more, explained side characters & their backstories better, really implemented Min Jae during the parts Yeon Woo was changing, & just made the gravity of what happened with Yeon Woo towards the end bigger than making it seem like it was no big deal.
I enjoyed this series, but man, I could have really loved it, it could have easily been an S tier show if they did just a little bit more.
I don't think so, in the novel he is like a nice guy and way softer (though I prefer toxic Jack), and from the…
Iām responding to the āskipping Jackā comment; I personally skipped a lot of the JackDean storyline as a whole. Nothing against Earth or Mix at all, I love them as actors! However, their storyline just couldnāt capture my interest no matter what they did. I understand drama & conflict, a show canāt exist without any conflict. But it just felt so nonstop with the same issues the entire time. I personally hated the āDean & Arnold are bad because they ALMOST kissed even though they both stopped itā plot point. I feel like they should have just had an actual kiss scene if the writers wanted to justify that opinion of them. The whole time, I just couldnāt care less on what happened to JackDeanās relationship. To be fair though, I donāt usually like watching dramas about already established couples or exes. I prefer watching the buildup of a relationship & the characters falling in love. If they had a story like that, I mostly would have watched their story all the way through. Thatās a personal preference though.
(Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to respond about my reason for skipping. I completely understand feeling bad for Earth over it & I didnāt even think about it until now. Youāre right, it is kind of sad that though the writers seemed to have higher opinions on Jack & wanted him to be the one in the right, many fans hate him & skip his scenes. But unfortunately, the character they wrote for Earth just wasnāt as strong as it should have been for many of us. But for me, the whole relationship was rather weak & uninteresting to me. I wish they had wrote them & their relationship a little stronger & more capturing)
I'm really bummed that they didn't show Chusan's interaction with goons and how he managed to win them over.
Yeah, I found it odd to even include as an extra scene. Like I think they were hinting that he won them over with financial advice but it was just a bit weird how they played that scene out. I feel like if they wanted to include an extra scene, they should have just chosen something else.
Before anyone responds with āThereās a second season coming!ā I understand that, but that doesnāt change the fact that this last episode felt a bit odd, out of place, & rushed. I absolutely loved this series & was so excited to see the last episode. But I feel like it fell a bit short & they could have paced it better throughout the series so there wasnāt so much going on at once. It felt like there should have been extra scenes to explain stuff but was cut on time. Even the actual āextra sceneā at the end was odd & didnāt feel like anything āextraā. Donāt get me wrong, I still adore this show & am excited for season two if it is really official. But I do still have to admit I was left a little disappointed with this final episode. However, with how well loved this series was, Iām hopeful for the next season!
Skimmed it but they say hes 29 in the show and shes just entering high school. Their real life ages more similar.…
He says heās 26 in the show. Still not much better though & still very weird. Meme second I saw him say that, I paused & ran to MDL to make sure I wasnāt somehow incorrect with this weird plot point.
I absolutely adore In Ahās personality! I feel like I very rarely see the strict scary boss have a funny sarcastic personality in dramas the way she does. It was such an early on plot twist for me & somehow feels refreshing. It really gives her some character!
thankyou for the first part and sorry for the second part.
Lol, no you guys can continue it if you like, itās the internet so of course there will be things not everyone is fond of but itās not like any of you are being rude to anyone. Itās probably more that Iām not used to it. Iāve never seen an MDL page have roleplaying, especially to this extent lol. But as it was said, if it gets to be too much, I could always block, but with the original funny ass response, I probably wonāt so I donāt miss out lmao
thankyou for the first part and sorry for the second part.
Lmao! Iām gonna be honest, the nonstop roleplaying in the comments gets me a little frustrated when I just want to know other peopleās opinions on the series, but this comment response made me laugh š
I love Raffy but heās doing way too much! (Paraphrasing) āJack deserves to know what kind of man he hasā?? Bro, nothing happened! You SAW that nothing happened! They were drunk (Dean entirely more than Arnold, not to mention he was high) but he still stopped it! Like I donāt really even care that much about Dean (sorry Mix! I just canāt get as into JackDean as the other couples) but still, you canāt paint him as a cheater if he never cheated.
I will say though, Dean antagonizing Raffy was unnecessary on his part. Like you know Raffy has a history of trying to expose you, donāt keep trying to push him, he clearly can find his ways.
Agreed to all your thoughts. Same as you, I put it on hold for years, and now that I decide to continue, ep 10…
Iām so sorry for seeing this a whole year late!!!! Unfortunately, I only know that itās on Viki & thatās where I rewatched it. It might possibly be on kisskh . co but I havenāt searched to check yet. I hope you were able to find it or do find it soon!!
