I commented this on someone else’s comment but wanted to also make this a separate comment; The fact that they never investigated the CEO as a suspect always bothered me. Didn’t they say at some point that Woo Seung had a call with the CEO while Ra Ik was out that night? That would have made the CEO the last person to have a conversation with him alive. No one found that odd????
It would be highly predictable if he is in fact the killer but it makes the most sense. & even outside of that, proper investigating should have been done with that. Like you’re not even going to question him & ask what the conversation was about? If I’m remembering correctly, the CEO did say he was in his office the night of the murder, but did anyone actually check into that?? If they still don’t go after the CEO at least to thoroughly question him now that another member was severely injured, I’m gonna be so annoyed! I know the prosecutor is set on making Ra Ik go down no matter what as per his father’s wishes, but what about the defendant’s team?? I get it’s a show & it’s all for drama, but man oh man, this is getting under my skin lol
The CEO seems like the obvious culprit now which makes me overthink and assume it can't be that easy. But him…

I’m surprised at the amount of hate everyone is having towards the ML. Yeah, he shouldn’t have been going through someone’s stuff, but it wasn’t like he was purposely snooping. He was just looking around because he wanted to get to know her more. & he reacted the way he did because since he was 10 years old, his entire life was built on other people wanting things from him. He never really had a real connection with someone else that wasn’t for another person’s gain.
Now that he’s finally feeling a real connection with someone he feels like he can trust & doesn’t want something for personal gain, finding out that person lied the whole time is sending him back to when he needed his walls up. Yes, it might be an overreaction to throw all of the merch on the ground but being upset is understandable. Now he feels like she wanted something from him this entire time & is secretly an obsessed fan. I mean he just had two fans break into his home as well as slash the tires of a car he was in. His trust is already low.
With Se Na saying her number one rule was no lying to her, it must feel unfair for her to be lying to him from the beginning. I understand both characters though, I don’t think either one is inherently wrong. He’s allowed to feel what he does. I just hope they don’t have him completely self destruct or drag on the angst too long.
Was this taken off Viki?? I remember I first watched it there when it came out & started a rewatch a few years back but now that I’m trying to go back to watch again, I’m not finding it…. Anyone know where I can watch it?
The entire cast & characters were phenomenal but I think the absolute best character was the grandmother!
**SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD** - - - - - - - - - - Having the one character to remember things that everyone outside of the main leads forget be someone with dementia was such an amazing & beautiful touch!! I probably cried the most during her scenes. Her first & last scene of her hinting at remembering really hit something in me. Oh, as well as her first scene shown when Sol goes back to 2008! That broke me down to a sobbing mess!!
Man, I regret starting this drama while it’s still airing! Two & a half hours until the next episode is out, but then that still leaves 3 more weeks of waiting for all episodes to be out 😭😭
Man, I miss seeing him in shows so much!! I met him a few years ago when I was visiting Thailand & he was the sweetest! Wish I could see him in more series again 😭
when did mdl become a place where you can't even criticize an actor's terrible performance without the entire…
It’s not an MDL thing, it’s an internet thing. If you’re going to be critical about something, especially on the page that the person you’re criticizing is about, you’ll get pushback. I don’t agree with Dunk being a bad actor, I actually found him stronger than one of the other 4 main characters in THK, but I won’t say exactly who because again, the internet doesn’t like differing opinions.
(Reread this & thought the tone could be taken snarky but I want to say that I’m definitely not trying to be, but I don’t want to rewrite everything lol)
A better lesson to learn is don’t keep clips of non consenting people in vulnerable sexual situations.
Did I say it was the show’s fault? I said the takeaways shouldn’t be what OP said. & I’m not trying to control anything. The first comment may have been a joke, I responded not even as seriously with what the lesson should be. The tone only shifted when the person’s response was seriously defending & making excuses for such behavior.
A better lesson to learn is don’t keep clips of non consenting people in vulnerable sexual situations.
Actually, not everyone does. If we ALL know what we shouldn’t do then it wouldn’t happen but it does. And seeing as many BL fans do over romanticize BLs, saying “the real takeaway from this episode is to set passwords” when there’s a huger takeaway blurs the lines for people who are toxic or in toxic relationships.
Just like all of you, I’m allowed an opinion as well. Again, you can like the show, but the amount of people who excuse this behavior for the sake of BL can be concerning & I have the right to voice that.
A better lesson to learn is don’t keep clips of non consenting people in vulnerable sexual situations.
Lol, nah. Being a virgin is no excuse. I was a virgin until I was 25 & never once did anything like that & never would have. Never having sex before doesn’t magically give you a free pass to keep recordings of someone like that who didn’t consent. What if that was you in that video? You’d be fine with someone who knew you were drugged kept a video like that & did God knows what with it? You’d forgive them because they were a virgin & never loved anyone before? No, that’s weirdo behavior.
Also, “He should’ve just said that he keep a video of him I mean some couples do that”, yeah, couples who have CONSENTED BEFOREHAND to be recorded & kept. & “but he didn’t cause he was at some point afraid of YouShu’s reaction”, why would he be afraid of his reaction? Because he knew it was wrong & that YS would be mad, as most people would be.
I get it’s a fictional show that’s supposed to be toxic (meaning there shouldn’t be any lesson made by the toxic character to be taken from the show nor should there be excuses for their behavior) & you can still like the series, but let’s not say “we” forgive that kind of behavior over useless reasons like virginity.
(I know this is a long comment & the tone is rough but I mean it more as a “don’t take toxicity as lessons and don’t excuse poor actions” than a comment to bash or be rude)
A better lesson to learn is don’t keep clips of non consenting people in vulnerable sexual situations.
You wouldn’t need that type of saving if you didn’t do it in the first place. Yes, I agree passwords can be necessary but FX messed up by keeping the video, not by not having a password.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like this series, but the inconsistencies & misunderstandings are becoming a lot for me. I normally don’t watch shows that have more than 16 episodes because of how much it usually feels like they drag things.

The scene of Suo Wei finding the clip of Wang Shuo setting it up to look like he & Chang Yu slept together- I thought we already established that? Why did he act surprised & wonder what was going on? & why were they acting like if Chi Cheng knew, the misunderstanding between them would be cleared up & he’d forgive him? Like why would he forgive someone who pretended to sleep with his boyfriend’s best friend & dip for 7 years?? Idk, I might just be nitpicking. I 100% understand misunderstandings are for conflict to help the overall plot, but when there are sooooo many that just continue until the end, it frustrates me lol
1. A baby just came out in a few minutes and apparently without even a single issue. How far along was she? Wasn't…
She panicked when she stabbed him, dude. It wasn’t like she was planning his death. She was trying to get him to stop, she wasn’t meaning to kill her son.
& for you to continue to describe Hyunju incorrectly when you’ve been corrected at least twice, there’s no point in continuing any kind of discussion. SHE wasn’t meant to be or even was perceived as the only kindest & most selfless person in the show. Open your eyes. Kim Youngmi, Kim Junhee, Jang Geumja, Gihun, they all had the same qualities. “Getting rattled & killing Daeho” didn’t change the qualities in Gihun by the way. His mind was trying to protect him & cope with the huge amount of guilt he was drowning in. Had Daeho not feed into it by continuing to blame Gihun, he most likely would have been alive. Gihun started to realize the reason Daeho didn’t come back was out of fear & was going to stop going after him. Until Daeho attacked him & continued to blame Gihun & feed his guilt again.
Story wise, I find season 3 the most impactful. I saw someone comment something earlier that I liked a lot. Gihun’s…
He came back to the games to save people, what are you on about? Whether he joined or not, the games were still happening & people were going to die, with or without him there.
Also, you’re acting like to call someone a person with morals, they have to be absolutely perfect. That’s not always the case. Yes, Gihun still killed people when he needed to. But he knew it was wrong to kill people just to kill them & get more money.
& Player 096? You mean the one that he did kill? Lol, he didn’t want people to die. He got him to stop for a bit until he was attacked. & killed him because he had to. As for Daeho, he was traumatized, consumed with guilt, & was trying to cope. Again, people aren’t perfect or faultless. He was drowning in the guilt that he felt he was the reason everyone died during the retaliation. His mind was trying to help him cope with it & pass the blame. Not, it isn’t right of him to do, but again, he’s human.
Your takes are very strange. You seem to be confusing morals with perfection or something on that kind of level. You can have morals while also making mistakes or trying to survive. If he was as flawed & had zero morality the way it seems you’re trying to convey, he would have killed that baby, not himself.
