I don’t think they’re exactly planning a US spinoff. I think the director said they didn’t have anything…
Yeah, I saw that after making this comment. But the director still wasn’t hinting for USA SG. He was peaving it open for possibilities for sure, but I read that he didn’t include that scene specifically to hint at a spinoff.
“The game in Korea ended with Gi-hun's sacrifice, but I wanted to show that the game was still ongoing elsewhere and that the world had not
changed that much.”
Also, from what I read, it hasn’t been confirmed that the USA one is actually happening. Like they haven’t been officially picked up yet.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
1. A baby just came out in a few minutes and apparently without even a single issue. How far along was she? Wasn't…
Respectfully, your takes are ass lol.
It’s almost like you didn’t actually watch the show.

I’m not going to go into every point that you wrote about because I don’t have the time right now. But Jun-Hee was pregnant from the beginning of season 2. What else would you have expected? From what I remember, they don’t say how far along she was, just that it was more than 6 months.
Of course the labor isn’t going to be 100% exact, it’s a movie not a documentary.
People being mad about Geumja killing her son is wild. I get that that isn’t something someone would typically do, but you have to remember her character. She was similar to Gihun when it came to morals. & she believed very strongly about mother child relationships. She told him to kill her to spare Junhee & her baby, something very in character of her. It was also very in character of her to save a child as well as save her own by stopping him from doing something he’d regret forever.
& as someone pointed out, there is no gay character. Hyunju is a trans female. And honestly, she was no different than the other main characters when it came to morals & friendship. She just happened to be trans, not sure how that’s “woke propaganda” when Gihun has had the same kindness & selflessness as Hyunju since the very beginning.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
the ending was dumb af Seong Gi Hun should have not died
This series is based on real life. People die, even the good ones. Life is unfair.
Gihun kept his good character & high morals from beginning to end. It would have been less realistic for him to win a second time in a row. His death was impactful & had a strong message. “We are not horses. We are humans.” The rich think the poor are all the same; selfish money hungry losers that will do anything for cash. Gihun was not like that. He was never like that.
His death changed the frontman’s opinions. He would have never given a previous winner’s winnings to their child if they died during a second round at the games. He would have never given the baby to someone safe to look after. Not if it wasn’t for Gihun & his sacrifice. Gihun was giving people back their morality & human emotions. Unfortunately though, the rich are still the rich, so the games continue. But there’s at least one person that his message got to, the one leading the last games.

Nah , 7.5 is too low. It was so sad, brutal and shocking. NONE of our favorites were alive by the end and the…
I don’t think they’re exactly planning a US spinoff. I think the director said they didn’t have anything else planned after season 3.
Of course it could always be a possibility, especially if fans want it. But I took the ending to show that even in the end, after the island blowing up, the games are still continuing. Like the rich seem to always be more powerful than the poor. Sad, truly.
But I do agree, the rating here is way too low! The message & raw realism is so damn good, I feel people are overlooking it because of how sad it all was. But truly, no matter how heartbreaking this season really was, I wouldn’t change a thing. I rated it a 9.5

gi hun spoke less than in season 1 and 2 combined
True. I think it was to show how consumed by guilt his character was. & how defeated he felt. Like nothing was worth it anymore. Not even talking.

Idk but the best season was season1 (after watching all 3 seasons)I think it does not need any seaons after season…
Story wise, I find season 3 the most impactful. I saw someone comment something earlier that I liked a lot. Gihun’s death was impactful & important to his character. He was one who had the biggest heart & the most morals. “Gihun died without greed to save the innocent.”
No matter how much they tried to change him to show that all poor people were nothing but selfish money hungry losers, they could never change him. Some people will always be great people, no matter what they’re faced with. That’s how I took the writing & the message of season 3.

Nah, I’ve seen a lot of people share this opinion & I also agree. I wouldn’t have minded the VIP scenes if they didn’t come off so cringe.

couldn't wait for cho hyun ju death and I wasn't disappointed, same with "thanos" in season 2
Why? What was wrong with Hyunju?? She was arguably the best character next to Gihun.

it doesnt comply with the rules they have set. it is basically a plot-hole lol. so yeah, bad writing.
I took his grudge against Daeho was because he felt extremely guilty & wanted the blame to be someone else’s. Yes, Gihun is all about saving & morals. But he felt like he failed everyone & that the deaths from the retaliation were his fault. To me, his grudge was a coping mechanism. To him, he couldn’t have been at fault because he was supposed to be the hero. So to cope, he wanted to pass the blame to someone who he felt betrayed them by not coming back with the ammo.

As for the randoms making it to the end, that’s the most realistic thing they could have done. This show is heavily based on real life. The way that life isn’t fair & that the poor is treated terribly. Keeping the whole main cast alive until the last game would have strayed away from that. The ending of course was sad but it was very true to real life.

I also feel it was really important for that to happen as it changed Inho’s morality. If it was any one else who was playing for a second time, someone who was full of greed, that happened to die in a different way at the end, the frontman would have never taken their old winnings & given it to their child. Gihun was changing the morals of the people in charge & future of the game, even after death.
Also, giving the child with her winnings to someone who could take care of her definitely wouldn’t have been something he would have done had Gihun not sacrificed himself for her life.
It was truly a great ending in my opinion with many lessons.

if only they did not add the VIPs scenes, was cringing so hard
I felt like I was watching the judges from USA’s The Masked Singer. I cringed in all the same ways & had the biggest urge to skip all their parts lol
I understand the VIP scenes, I just wish they weren’t so cringe.

I cried for the transgender player and the old lady 😢 it broke my heart.I have a question, so the money was…
The reasoning of why he gave the money to 456’s daughter isn’t exactly clear or specificity stated. But the way I interpreted it was that yes, he did feel guilty. I feel he did have a soft spot for Gihun, I think a big reason being that he reminded him of himself.
I also think 456 gave the frontman a lot of his humanity back by almost always being selfless unless in dire situations. With Gihun giving the win to the baby so she’d have a chance at life, I think Inho felt it was only right to do something good for Gihun’s sacrifice.

The rules changed because of the VIPs. To me, it’s stupid that they were able to start calling the shots but at the same time, the final round is specifically for the VIPs & their entertainment. It isn’t bad writing for them to comply with the main point of the games- to entertain the rich.

Title Call It Love Spoiler
Had so much potential, and the leads had that mysterious chemistry that needed to be explored even more, this…
I got a notification that you replied to my comment but I can’t see it anywhere? 😭
I assume it may have to do with our differing opinions on Jun & Harding though? Lol, if so, I actually do see your point. I haven’t watched this in a bit so my memory is a little hazy but I do remember there was for sure some toxic traits in those two. I guess I overlooked it purely out of bias-ness as I’m a huge sucker for side couples 😅 I think I also was looking at the chemistry the actors had (from what I remember, I thought they had great chemistry?) & the cliche trope they followed of childhood friends but almost a love-hate relationship?
Again, I can’t completely remember so I could even possibly be off with that lol. But I definitely do agree with your points.

This was so good and deserves a higher rating, but y'all wanna always hype up and watch the nasty incest bls 🙄.
I haven’t watched this in a while so I don’t remember it much in detail but I do remember loving the concept but finding the execution lacking. I also remember starting the novel & it being weird af, a scene where Chi Cheng’s snake went up a lady’s…. Ya know…. Lol

But I 100% agree that way worse/weirder concepts like literal incest seem to be in way more people’s watchlist.
I might try giving it another watch though because I really forgot almost everything from this series.

(Edit to add: I haven’t started the newer version yet but caught another comment of yours, they’re step bros in the remake?? Oof, if that’s true, I’m gonna have to skip giving the remake a try)

Lol, what a wild take. If he really did do what he is accused of & gets convicted, then he deserves no support.
It’s honestly people like this who make it hard for people to come forward. It took me years to publicly speak about the inappropriate behavior I received from a celebrity that also lasted years in itself. When I finally did, I received instant backlash from fans. Parasocial relationships are so dangerous. These celebrities aren’t always who you think they are. Just because you watch them on TV or online doesn’t mean that’s how they are in real life.
It sucks that the celebrity I had a weird and inappropriate relationship with still has fame & fans, but there’s nothing I can do about that other than speak the truth. This person calling me bitter for simply warning about the dangers of people you don’t know & the irreversible harm and trauma they can inflict is wild.
With how hard they’re d**k riding someone who doesn’t know or care that they exist is quite tragic.

I just have to assume you’re a troll at this point because if not, then it’s sad as hell that there are people this dumb in the world lmao.
Good luck with your weird ass victim blaming/ rapist apologist mindset. I hope you never have to experience a similar situation and proceed to get the same treatment you give others.

& that’s the problem. You’re taking the side of some random celebrity that’s been accused & arrested.

& you’re making crazy leaps lmaooo. I loved the series he was in & liked him as an actor. But when I read what happened, I was able to separate my like for the series & character with real life possibilities. It’s wild for you to suggest therapy to me, a person who is well aware that celebrities aren’t faultless deities rather than yourself, a person batting hardcore for a dude that doesn’t even know you exist. I’d say I’m way more in touch with reality than you seem to be.

I hope you work out whatever weird internal issues you seem to have that causes you to put so much of your support in a potential molester.

Some of you guys have very weird parasocial relationships & obsessions with these people who don’t know you at all…

Though my situation is a bit different than this one, I had an inappropriate relationship with a celebrity I loved when I was 16 & was taken advantage of due to the power dynamic. To see so many dub accusers as anything other than victims is insanely hurtful. Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Celebrities are just as capable of doing awful things like everyone else. For them to be put on such a high pedestal that people will stick up for them & discredit victims even after he was arrested & fired? Crazy work.
