So many relations , prequels and sequels . which one should i watch first ? The Mystic Nine , The Lost Tomb 2…
They can all stand alone on merit however, most of the series and movies are all interrelated including the Candle in the Tomb series because they are based on multiple generations of the original nine grave robbing families (The Mystic Nine) past and present. (Read my comments above.) Part of The Lost Tomb 2's back story and characters come from The Mystic Nine, which was released a year after The Lost Tomb, but MDL will not allow it the be listed as a prequel or a related series because the name is different. Therefore, I suggest starting with The Mystic Nine and working your way from there connecting the dots by looking at related titles and recommendations.
This should have been better, the acting was superb but the script lacked cohesion towards the end and her private life got lost in the process as the writers chose overused tropes to extend and finish the drama.
So hold up I watched the 10 episodes and your telling me that after 4years they are making season 2 .....? So…
This series can be a bit confusing however, there are prequels, sequels, spin-offs and a few movies to boot! Note: There are nine grave robbing families, which means they have a lot of offspring and an endless supply of stories to tell. Therefore, I suggest starting with The Mystic Nine and working your way from there connecting the dots by looking at related titles and recommendations.
I think this drama is very underrated! It may not be a drama for everyone but I found it to be lighthearted and quirky with solid comedic acting and a great OST. Some of the secondary storylines got a bit wonky but the main story made up for it.
This is a good drama however, Priest is a better drama. The storylines are very different but the overall script, acting, and premise are more substantive.
What a ride what a script, everyone should by the package and go for the tour! One Flaw: What country in Africa? Stop referencing the continent Africa as if it were a country. -.05
Solid acting and story, however, the script lacked commitment and precision in executing the story. Like many long family dramas, there were unresolved issues and issues without closure as if the writers forgot what they wrote during the first half of the story.
Nice list CU, I would like to add the following to your list Zanilia Zhao's roles, which are mostly all strong women or women who become strong: The Story of Ming Lan, Princess Agents, Noble Aspirations, Rookie Agent Rouge, The Journey of Flower and more. Also Ha Ji Won's roles; Empress Ki, King's 2 Hearts, Secret Garden and more. If you have not seen any of these dramas you may want to check them out.
This was a fun light-hearted drama to watch. In today's world of falling wages and attacks on labor laws, which is part of the modern feudalistic system, it is refreshing to see a real pro-employee drama.
If you liked Guest then you will love Priest! The intrigue, mysteries and backstories are amazing. This drama has a well-executed script, stellar acting and is very different from Guest. Also, it shows the sexism and patriarchal beliefs system that sustain gender inequality in the Roman Empire. AND for those who liked the hot priest in Guest, this one has two hot priests.
Awesome! I'm ready for a season two. Leave it to OCN to bring it like this. A nice tight drama that does not suffer from episode drag, with superb acting and script!
A very good actor who has done small but stellar convincing supports rolls. His acting and looks are far better than most leading Thai actors, I hope he gets a leading role soon.
This drama should have been called Crazy Consorts and Concubines. The lack of power, freedom, and choices women had during this period in herstory would have driven many women to this level of insanity to survive.
Very underrated drama with a strong intelligent and savvy female lead. Not a drama for everyone and much like Bel-Amie this drama is misunderstood. Technically there is not a rape in this drama because she contractually agrees to be his mistress under the terms and conditions that he could be with her whenever and where ever he chooses. The only question is: Is she emotionally and psychologically prepared to handle what she signed up for?
