I think there's a few misconceptions here. Lack of depth=/=lack of chemistry (feeling chemistry is subjective…
Ok I will rephrase - she both lacks the depth and is not special (in my opinion) :D
The only misconception is that you think I dislike her, I don't, I just don't care about her character at all, she is totally flat with 0 interesting personality.

Well, she does lack depth in my opinion. I wouldn't care if she died in the next ep - that's how I got engaged with her "depth". Feeling basic human emotions and being hardworking doesn't really make her "deep" in my opinion. Every K-drama character is like that, she is not special at all to me.
To be honest I still don't see what he sees in Kim Mi So, except that she is unbelievably beautiful of course. She showed some potential in ep 1 but her character hasn't developed at all since then. She seems... empty I guess. When I look at her I am dazzled by her beauty, not her character and that is always problematic to me. I need to see depth in order to care about characters. Lee Yeong Joon showed some depth but their relationship is still unbelievable and kinda fake. I don't feel any chemistry between them.
