I don't like time-travel and 2nd-chance-romances but I think this drama is brilliant at portraying the reality - just because you got married that doesn't mean that you got your HEA. On the contrary, the real problems begin after that. The husband is treated like shit at work (and employees are usually treated like shit in Korea) and the wife is going crazy alone with a baby at home. It's actually a reality for many couples out there. The acting was brilliant in the 1st ep. I think I'll keep watching to see if they'll maintain the standard.
if you are not used to watch turkish series, it would be better not to watch. Because they are way too long and…
Why are you trying to make people NOT watch these dramas? :D Let them decide for themselves, perhaps they'll like them, perhaps they'll dislike them ^^ Tastes differ.
Several articles related to Remakes of E. Asian dramas on this Site. Why not complete the Remake articles series?…
Not really sure what you mean, but if you've got an idea you can submit an article :) I haven't heard of Indians remaking these dramas, that's interesting.
First, a warning! I have a lot to say. I haven't really been able to speak to anyone about my love for Turkish…
Nicely said! I must add, what I like about Turkish dramas is that they portray the raw emotions very well. Many of their characters and situations seem realistic. These remakes are pretty new and short because they target younger audience and that is a good thing I guess.
Of course it is not the same as actual rape (penetration), but the feeling of violation is the same. I thought…
No problem, thanks for your opinion :) Many have complained about that sentence and perhaps I should have rephrased so they would understand better, but my meaning is still the same: cutting off one's hair (especially woman's) is considered to be a very deep violation, not only in a physical sense, go here for more: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1508091/Its-a-crime-to-cut-off-a-womans-hair.html
And that is why I found that scene in particular very disturbing.
I do not agree with equivocating forced hair-cutting with rape. While I totally agree that it is a form of physical…
Of course it is not the same as actual rape (penetration), but the feeling of violation is the same. I thought that is clear enough. ps. it's weird receiving notifications for this article, can't believe it's two years old already xD
