I see that now they made it 120 episodes instead of 156 as in the past. It's 30 watching hours. I think it's more doable lol

well... asadora are not not as popular as the regular dramas because of the length. HYD... lol... it's indeed a gateway for me, though I dipped my toe with Watashi ni Unmei no Koi Nante Arienaitte Omotteta ;D

Congrats on your first article, a thought provoking one. To answer your question, the ancient socio-cultural practice I cannot relate to is harem system. But I don't like reverse-harem either. I think the latter is just a trope created for dramatic purpose and fan-service.
