I hated the fact that they couldn't have just portrayed her second life only and, in a way, told the viewer she…
Yes, that point irritated me too. When I saw her as a strong, clever woman in the second life I had high hopes for her character, only to be bitterly disappointed by the girlie-who-can't-speak-up-for-herself scenes that followed. Blame it on the writers who seem to think that because this is xianxia nothing needs to make any sense. This is a drama where people intensely love or hate each other for absolutely no other reason than "the script says so".
What on earth is that with the girl from the future and the rubrik's cube - especially when she's not the female…
I absolutely loved that one! Yes, it's totally absurd, but so is the trope of the clever person from the future (who still knows exactly how everything works in another century).
Started skipping all the scenes that don't feature the leads. They barely have any i interactions in recent episodes,…
I quite like the fact that there are none of the cliched scenes of FL tripping over her own feet and ML catching her. Yes, they talk a lot but for me that's the sign of an adult relationship. Romance can be conveyed in many ways other than the lame old "staring-in-each-others-eyes-in-slow-motion" trope which is so overused. The way the ML is desperately enduring boredom waiting for her at her parents house, or the way they both think of each other when apart are going a long way to show us how they feel. The scenes with the other couple Jiamin/Prince Ying are quiet hilarious so by skipping them you're probably missing half of the fun...
HL's mom is quite a character! There's a funny side-story about her in the novel (which I don't think we'll get…
I cannot say the same. Staying with an abusive, arrogant guy (as the FL does in Twin Flower) is not really the sign of a strong and independent woman. I dropped that one as quickly as I started because of this.
I actually like He Yuanting. Yes he is supposed to be on the villain's side and will do annoying things, but maybe…
I think in this drama none of the characters were written for us to really hate them. That's one of the things that I love so much about it! Even if some people pursue different goals they all have their own motivation which is different from a lot of other dramas where characters hate and want to kill each other and nobody really knows why.
You must have just started watching😅…have a patience, good things need time. Not everything is as it seems.❣️
It's what I said from the start, no clever, self-respecting woman would stay with a guy like this for more than 5 min. So the whole premise of the drama is illogical.
I LOVE Liuli's family esp her dad!! So adorable. They all bullied the crown prince and didn't let him see her,…
HL's mom is quite a character! There's a funny side-story about her in the novel (which I don't think we'll get to see in the drama...). In her younger days she was a famous beauty in the capital and the emperor made a pass at her. She then smashed a stone bench (in the palace garden, I presume) while looking at him and smiling. Since then the emperor is afraid of her and thinks that despite being under her thumb, HL's father is a real man and a true hero.
Honestly it is just really annoying all these new people coming here protesting it hurts their feeling SM is a…
Tolerance seems to be a dying artform... All these millennials having hurt feelings over just about anything are turning this world into a crazy place.
I am actually quite supportive of SM being a girl, because I appreciate this character so much...and if SM is…
Well, fans in China seem to be going apeshit over just about anything. I find this collective hysteria very worrying. We all love certain actors/actresses, dramas, novels, etc. but it's important to keep them in a healthy perspective. For some it seems fancult has become a sort of substitute religion and now there's even "religious wars"...
Youku official inv promotions material on TTEOTM mentioned a few things:Q2 (Tentative) : okay I assume June40…
If they cut it beyond recognition to force everything into 40 episodes, the quality will suffer. Cutting so much in post-production seems such a waste!

Sometimes I feel like I'm in possession of a secret art that allows me to know more than others 😈
