As someone said further up, the main focus of the drama is the mystery, not the romance. There are occasional romantic moments, though and I think the main leads will end up together.

I had to give up on Song of the Moon... I really don't like the works of this director. He basically did a copy-past of all the annoying tropes from Legend of Yunxi: the obsessive SFL (who has to mumble "I will kill her" in every other episode), the sad SML and the unsatisfactory ending.

I don't know... I've only see some preview. It seems similar to The Long Ballad: Dilreba is after revenge and falls in love with one of the other side. I like her, so will give it a try. I haven't see Gong Jun in anything since Word of Honor, so I'm a bit curious how it will turn out.

The bit about the life-force of one race being used as a recreational drug by another one reminds me of a similar plot line in the novel that became "Back from the Brink".
