Yes, it's not fair to judge her only on these first few episodes... She is supposed to be like that, otherwise there wouldn't be much of a personality development. Since they are using the same actress for her as a teenager and as a grown woman, the voice is an easy tool to make this distinction. It was the same for the FL in LBDAF... lots of complaints in the beginning and later everyone loved her. It's funny that I don't hear anyone complaining about the childish voice and stupid speaking manner of Zhuo Hao. He is unpleasant both to the eyes and the ears.

For me the pacing of the first few episodes was ok... I'd rather have them make up some time in the first few episode and then give us a decent ending. Very often they waste a lot of time in the beginning and then rush the ending (LLTG being a prime example...) And yes, that opening theme really is quite unbearable!
There is an English translation (sort of...) on NovelUpdates, but it is incredibly bad. The translator doesn't seem to know the difference between "he" and "she" and permanently switches btw present and past tense which makes the story hard to follow. because half of the time you don't know who does what and when. To boot, there are some totally nonsensical words mixed in that seem to come from another language. I just read a few chapters and it gave me a headache! So proceed at your own risk...
