We all would! However, I’d rather see him in quality roles even if they are small rather than as main lead in another silly idol drama opposite some hapless trainee actress. We’ve been there and it was a torture watching it (probably not too pleasant for him either).

I hope he acquires more main roles. He is a talented actor, even in scripts that were probably cut short or altered…
He is getting there… In the current climate and without powerful backers it isn’t easy to get quality roles and even more difficult to get main roles. His latest role in Dancing with the Tide is a main role according to the official announcement, but MDL put it down as a guest role for some reason.
This drama is very realistic and close to historical elements in term of designs so you won’t see any flashy…
I am glad that they didn’t. There’s too many feeble pretty boys pretending to be generals already. Personally, I found the historical background in the novel very interesting (as I don’t know anything about that era of Chinese history) and I think that they will enhance this aspect because it fits into the current political climate.

He is busy filming on another set today. I’m on chapter 120 in the book… his character is mentioned a lot, but doesn’t get a detailed description or appear much. I trust they will turn him into a more memorable character in the drama.

Youku has reportedly sold the distribution rights to iQiyi, so it will be distributed through both platforms. No doubt this lead to the rumoured airing date of 28th February. Unlike Youku that just drops dramas out of the blue, iQiyi has a release schedule 😂

Apparently, Jeremy told the fans at the opening ceremony that he would start filming “in a few days” but we know from experience that his sense of time isn’t the same as for the rest of us 😂
