how is this drama compared to story of kunning palace?
I loved SOKP and I’m loving this one, too. They are very different types of dramas and therefore difficult to compare. One is more dialogue-heavy, the other more action-packed. Both have good acting and some nice humorous moments.
Wait does this mean they get paid this amount per episode?? That's mind boggling wow.
Yes, they get paid per episode. I just saw the amounts but I don’t know the currency so have no idea how much it is in “real mone”. I do remember when they filmed “Friends” the cast got 1 mioUSD per episode.
Have they started to hate LYN for his salary or not yet?I think every production should announce the cast salary.it…
Yes, apparently people are claiming that LYN was overpaid… The bosses of these people probably think the same about them because these people seem to spend an exorbitant amount of time online throwing dirt at LYN instead of doing some honest work.
I liked SOKP a lot. The two dramas are very different. SOKP had more focus on palace politics and was dialogue-heavy…
They had a stupid birthday party, too…. And then there are these endless sequences of gazing at each other while the music plays. At least twice per episode! That’s the kind of pointless filler I would expect to see in some cheesy romance drama, not in one like this.
Sadly the drama director isn’t one of them. Otherwise why would they abuse horses in every single episode by…
As a horse rider I pay special attention to these things (and I watch a lot of historical dramas) therefore I can confirm that in this drama the scenes of people violently yanking on the reins to steer the horse are far more frequent than in other dramas that show people on horses. It feels as if the director wanted to express some special kind of urgency or determination through this gesture, completely ignoring the pain that this causes to the horses.
Can we appreciate Sun Lang's cuteness... We got an animal lover in the gang!!
Sadly the drama director isn’t one of them. Otherwise why would they abuse horses in every single episode by violently yanking on the reins to stop or turn the horse around. This isn’t normal horse riding but amateurish abuse. My horse would buck you off in no time.
So true! For me the worst, obsessive ML was the one in Ashes of Love. Any sane person would have shot the stalker…
I didn’t even manage to get that far into TTEOTM despite liking both main actors. These stories of people abusing each other in all sorts of ways and then calling it love are just not for me. SOKP was quite different, at least they had a grown up relationship and didn’t manipulate or torture each other. The forehead kiss didn’t bother me because in the situation it was a genuine expression of affection, not an obsessive gesture.
Yeah, those script writers have a fixed set of elements that they just mix up and decorate with fresh faces for…
Yes, I do the same. That’s why it’s so frustrating that those stupid script writers kill any fresh ideas that were in the novel to replace them with some worn-out tropes and even add love triangles that weren’t in the novel.
I don’t expect this before Q4-2024….

Over here is the grown-up corner 😉
