Glad to see Yeomhwa holding the worst character spot for so long. Nobody can beat her from that spot. She holding the golden medal. Like even if she sacrificed herself at the end, I would NOT GAF. As a matter a fact, it's long overdue. Past expiry date.
Kdrama curse of having the worst ending strike again! I didn't even finish ep 11 and I'm already heavily disappointed in the episode and shitty writing direction. First 10 episode is the reason why I think this drama was top 3 kdrama of the year... But now my love for the first 10 episode is keeping me seated and faithful.
MAN! I can't believe this keeps happening to LSH. He has some bad luck haunting him. He seemingly always goes…
I literally finished this and was like, "When will LSH get his big acting script?" He been in the industry for so LONG, so so long yet haven't gotten that one script that changed his career. Tomorrow was good but he wasn't the main star. It just a drama that good actors will have in their portfolio. Scholar in the Night brought him the attention for looking divine but the script was... Let's just pass. He definitely one of those actors who will act in interesting scripts and I liked that about him but all of these "interesting scripts" just have good concept, poor execution and I'm getting tired of writers failing him.
Like there are a lot of dramas were the writing isn't spectacular but do well enough to be a good show. He haven't had this yet. I wanna see him in a alchemy of souls type of script or to be specific something like the Chinese drama love between the fairy and devil. If modern drama, the bar can be higher than this.
Great concept ASS SCRIPT! Went from got a high potential to zero potential real quick. Can’t explain it better than this. I feel like we could have got a good psychological horror sorta fantasy drama but then they made it tooooooo fantasy in a nonsensical sense that I immediately hated it.
Probably because he is a serial killer who murdered 99 persons... His selfish ass doesn't feel any guilt and only…
The person you are not hating on is not Yeomhwa. I talking about her mom, Sang Ah's mom. You guys are not hating on her for letting her daughter get away with almost everything.
Bongsu is her victim. He already said he didn't want to help her but they are bonded because she is a shaman.ind you, Bong Su can't move from the abandoned house and if Yeomhwa wasn't interfering and contributing, barely anyone would have died
Great comment! And yes, I too was surprised by the complexity of this drama. I didn’t have high expectations…
The last two episodes are the ones I'm most worried about actually 😞 Kdrama have this issue where they don't know how to end their dramas with a proper conclusion. The most likely thing to happen is for Bongsu to cross over and for Gyeonu to get back his body and live a proper life but this time, he may also become a shaman or help our shaman because now he can see the ghosts too.
My words exactly!!That’s what has killed the show for me.. at this point I m not sure if I ll watch the last…
I was waiting for the consequences to bait her back from all the evil things she was doing but in the end someone else died because they were protecting her... Losing her child doesn't cover all the crime she did
This is my first time reading the comments and hearing everyone's thoughts about this drama and all I'm going to say is that y'all are grossly underestimating how much all of this happened because of the "good" shamans. Them REFUSING to deal with Yeomhwa properly is a consequences of WHY Gyeonu is suffering his whole life. We are constantly hearing about how she is doing the MOST EVIL THING EVER.
99 people dead? BECAUSE OF HER. She ruined all the protection and even invited people to die!
Evil spirits couldn't be dealt with? BECAUSE OF HER DOING BLOOD/LIFE EQUALIANCE RITUALS.
Evil deity being revived? BECAUSE OF HER.
Cursing Gyeonu's grandma? BECAUSE OF HER!
Gyeonu's family mistreating their son and treating him as a curse and outcast? BECAUSE OF HER!
Gyeonu's entire life, from childhood to adulthood, being miserable? BECAUSE OF HER!
Gyeonu's becoming a ghost? BECAUSE OF HER!
And who enabled all of these behaviours and did nothing about it despite knowing and telling us how "evil" she was. How she was "crossing unspeakable lines of morality"? Our good guys. The "good shamans" did nothing about it while knowing it's happening. But you guys aren't ready to have this conversation from all the funny comments I've scrolled through. Way to shift the blame. On top of that, they didn't learn the fucking lesson seeing how there is no proper consequences for Yeomhwa.
He's a literal child in pain, lashing out and causing damage beyond what he can comprehend. He's a true sympathetic…
Sang A mom is the reason why Gyeonu suffered for the longest time because she was enabling her daughter to commit evil and basically barely punished her for it. I'm not even trying to be a Bong Su sympathizer because I want Gyeonu life back and want him happy from all of the misery but y'all so good at noticing what 'Bong Su' doing despite the fact a ghost would have never reached the level of 99 kills without Yeomhwa and her mom covering her crimes instead of letting her go and punishing her properly for it.
Probably because he is a serial killer who murdered 99 persons... His selfish ass doesn't feel any guilt and only…
And who's fault is that? Mind you, Sang A's mom, the Shaman, is an enabler and watched and KNEW Yeomhwa encouraged the death of 99 AND CONTRIBUTED TO IT to revive this "serial killer" yet I don't see you guys hating her. As a matter of fact, some of you guys are crying she died covering up her daughter's CRIMES. Babe, the serial killer is the least of your worries here because his revival had nothing to do with him. He didn't even have a choice. All of the shaman who had zero backbone in getting rid of Yeomhwa are the reason why Gyeonu is getting stolen at the moment and WHY he suffered his whole life.
They should have made Bongsu evil so I can hate him. They had him killing people and had Yeom Hwa sacrifice people to him to make the big evil guy... Just for us to find out he is a teen who was forced to grab the gun and told to fight for his country. Just to find out that he is just a kid who probably killed and eventually died before he could fulfill his promise for his friend. A kid who dream is to become an adult because his life was cut off shortly.
Seeing him blend in with the rest of the students and everyone made me both happy and actually broke my heart too for multiple reasons. One because it's short lived for Bong Su and two, because nobody noticed Gyeonu was not the same... Nobody treated Gyeonu like this... If Gyeonu lived normally, that would have been his life.
I didn't expect to feel conflicted by the complex dynamics between the different characters. I wanna even say that I genuinely believed that Bong Su was willing to cross over early on. He was training his archery skills FOR Gyeonu (because he will give him his body back!) He told her mom he didn't want to be an evil spirit but the curse made by Yeomhwa tied him to these bad decisions. That's why he was helping them early on and likely wanted to cross over eventually but hearing Seong A basically look forward to getting rid of him made him bitter. She didn't console him, she just wanted a way to get him out and it didn't help. It made him want to steal Gyeonu's life.
Didn't expect this type of writing from a romance school drama LMAO I thought it would be like a mediocrity romance that will pass time but it was much deeper than this.
Watched POB, TSOPG, TLB, AJTY, and out of all his dramas, this is Liu Yuning best role. Like Nan Heng will always hold a special place in my heart. And so far, out of all the dramas that aired this year, this is my favourite so far.
THAT WAS THE BEST EPISODE SO FAR!!! It had everything!!! The drama, the suspense, the confession. Ning really stole the scene with this episode holding on to two other people and refusing to let go just for Wan sacrifice herself to save her and Yan just jumping WITHOUT HESITATION!!! I was already screaming by then but they pushed it further having her body lifeless. One of the best touches was the fact he remembered what she did previously and applied it to save her life.
Then he hit us with that love confession. "In this life, you are the only one I want." Eat, eat, eat. The sweet nothings in my ears. I was already swooning. I was thinking the bar can't get any higher.
It did. "Shen Wan." Like oh, we really doing this? Like okay Mr. Romantic. They could have ended it here and I would have been satisfied.
Exactly. lol. Like yes, yes this is a perfectly acceptable reason to murder-death-kill everyone.
Exactly like when I heard of all the crimes... I wanted them dead TOO LMAO Nevermind the family of the victim. I understand the righteous path is the recommended but this was too much. Kidnapping, child abuse, I'm not sure if they were censoring by saying he only brought them to "teach them talent" was a code for something else, but I was very okay with them trying to kill him.
So we have a new interesting case on our hand, we just arrived into this village but I think I already know how the killer is. It's the doctor, the senior and the reason why he is doing this is because of his wife. He needs to find a cure for her or she gets to live longer by having all these people killed. The brother in law could be an accomplice but let's see how this will go. Although I'll say, I like how Wan is contemplating when Yan will reach her because she needs his support as much as he needs hers. And he is the only person she can rely on.
The Qin family is truly evil. I know the dad committed the crimes but a lot of the women were accomplice in the covering up so like I don’t like the Third Branch madam. Also the misogyny from women really do go hard in this show. I understand it’s the past so women were each other’s enemy but the reaction to the baby being a girl…. While you are the female gender… it’s a bit of a rough watch ngl, especially for the older cousin. Anyway, I hope my girl actually notices the youngest cousin. It looks like she actually have room to grow and I’m keeping an eye on her.
I like how Prince Yan Chi RESPECTS Wan. He sees her as powerful sidekick, he takes every word she says seriously, when he was doubtful about the Minister, he immediately went to read his books/work to see why she respects him, then changed his opinion of him immediately like everything about their relationship is so WHOLESOME. Like these are my two cutie patooties.
Call me insane but it always gets me when I hear the good people go like, “You would commit murder for this reason?” And the reason is like killing 13 young children from the age of 12-16, torturing them, SA one of the ladies, and all sort of other crimes…. Like yes I would commit murder too if they covered their crimes and nobody brought justice for the victims for more than 7 years. I’m not shocked that someone wanted justice! Especially if your mother and sister are involved. It’s not that crazy to me. The only time these people lose is when they kill innocent people to hide the fact they killed someone incredibly vicious and evil.
It's obvious who's the one who cut her head off (or maybe replaced that body). It's no one else except the guards. I know it's him because I'm using drama logic LOL drama logic won't allow the brother of the sweet friend of the female lead to be the killer. If they related or even to the male lead, they a victim.
Anyway, I didn't know what coroner means so I was a little surprised when I found out she is a forensic and doctor. Suddenly it made sense.
How tall is the female lead? She is almost matching Liu Yuning in height and I know he is very tall so she have to be wearing high heel boots or something.
