When you thought China were almost on par with Korean dramas but they decided to take a big step back... Seriously, wtf are those rules?

While Korea have some ridiculous censorship like no tattoos, burry knife scenes, smoking (I could have sworn I saw smoking in Just Between Lovers! Maybe it was smoking without smoke... I'm not sure) It's not in a level where they killed creativity. Supernatural is banned? China most famous and loved drama, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, is supernatural. Aren't China superitious or am I missing something?

And I heard the reason why they banned Time travel but sometimes they need to loosen up a bit a realize fiction is just fiction.

The one I understand the most is celebrity children. It's nice that they are against child labor but this could all work out if they pre produced drama or put fixed a schedule that doesn't overwork children. Someone else suggested putting an age limit which could also spare them some trouble.

I can't imagine a drama without a single child... What kind of family drama will they be able to do without kids?

No matter how talented she is a kid is just a kid what's so hard about finding an actress who fits the character…
I totally understand where you are coming from when it comes to child actresses. Yeah, she is an actress but did she have to act in romance with someone way older? She could have chosen "adults" roles that doesn't involve romance if she wanted to expand her business. Like college life, family, detective, horror, historical, etc so many characters that have depth so why romance?

But I don't think I would have a problem with this one. I dislike the ones that are really OBVIOUS that an actress is young and the actor is old. Like Goblin. Sure the actress is legal enough to act in such dramas but I hated her character.

Is it just me or did Yoo Seung Ho acting in the beginning of this drama felt somehow rookish? Like it hard to believe that someone with 18 years of acting under his belt was performing like this. Yet after some time his acting became so natural as if the character was tailored for him?

Exercise your right to skip with this drama ;)

Yes - but only when it comes to anime and manga. On the other hand dramas and films haven't been so welcomed.…
Really? I read that there were around 20 BL drama made in 2017 so I think it's becoming more welcomed year by year.

When you are addicted to a drama and you can't believe you went 2 weeks without watching it...the amount of tolerance I have blows my mind. Should have watched this when it finished airing so I wouldn't have to wait for the one week late subs.

There's just something off about them. I personally can't look away from the fact the Je hyeok knew her since…
He practically raised her which put me off from liking them. I tried to see it differently once they are grown and it helped but their romance still didn't interest me. The fact they are trying to "force" the break up makes me lowkey frustrated with them, And yes, Jiho being a criminal would be interesting... Heck , a story centered around female inmates is a must watch for me.

I never thought I would say this over a grown man but Kaist voice is so cute! When he curse with his lisp, it makes it hard for me to feel intimated lol It just cute.

I first thought it was slow (it still is in some area) but now I can't seem to wait for the next episode. Although I'll be frank here, Je Hyeok's and Jiho's romance doesn't interest me. They make me wish I skipped their scenes everytime I see them.

It's so sweet how Do Kyung keeps looking for excuses to meet her again and again.
Yeah, it's sweet... but it could be very frustrating when he is the person you want to avoid.

If a drama made you skip through some parts then it's no way the best drama. Don't try to deceive yourself. Maybe it was good but definitely not the best.

Same here! I barely have a second lead syndrome. Then again, when I do prefer the second lead the drama either suck, I'm okay with the main lead, or I dislike the female/male lead which makes me not want to ship them so I'm safe. I can't relate to people because of this.

Title While You Were Sleeping Spoiler
I feel in love with Woo Tak...he was the reason why I continued watching till the end. I wish he had more screentime. There should be a sequel with Woo Tak as the main character while the others get the supportive characters. His character have SO much potential. I love how unwavering he is with his morals. He just put himself there without caring whether he gained or lost from it. When Woo Tak testified TRUTHFULLY at the cost of his job... it showed how high he holds himself. He won't degrade himself for others. So imagine if he became a lawyer and had to defend CRIMINALS like Lee Yu Beom. Knowing they murdered someone but he still have to keep their information confidential? Defend them because that's what a lawyer should do? Imagine if he even won which means he succeeded in letting a murder free? The complexity his character would get. They shouldn't waste him =/

Seriously, I FELL FOR HIM! The dude can even cook! LADIES, PACK YOURS BAGS, I FIND YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND!

Why Woo Tak is husband material:

1. If a guy can look good with a mustache and beard, he is the one for you, mkay? CAN WE GET ANYONE BETTER? I think not.

2. THOSE ABS! Nuff said.

3. The police uniform looked like it was MADE FOR HIM.

I rest my case *Drops mic* Thank you.

This show didn't do his character justice. Thanks to this show I realized why I hate love triangles because it's almost like writers doesn't know how to make a side couple so I want to see him move on from this meaningless love and get the girl.

after The Bride of Habaek (how the heck does that drama still have a 7.2 on mdl??), WYWS is the biggest letdown…
8.0 at most??? Gurl, you are way too generous. If I find a show shitty and can barely continue it, I would rather it have a 6 at most. Woo Tak was the reason why I continued to watch it because I fell in love with his character.

I couldn't complete this series because the female lead is so obnoxious and I doubt her personality will change so I dropped it.

Even episode 14 is extremely annoying and tedious. Does it improve with the passing of the episodes? Should I…
I don't think the pacing of the show change but it does get better storywise. If you are waiting for her to become Queen then you would need to reach episode 25 to see her motivated to do so. However, you will have to deal with a lot of whining, stupid decision, and self pity to reach that point. If you thought Deokman is "alright" from ep 14 then believe me, she gets worse. She only improves when she's queen.

I know it's fansubs and I should appreciate it but the subs of this drama feels so pretentious. It felt like they use big words for the sake of using "big words". How can people watch if they can barely read the subtitles without losing their heads. I see words like "Sagacious" "Infeasible vagary" "subterfuge".... Hello! Not all of us are fluent!

I swear this is subs I copied directly from this drama:

"Selfish whims and ostentation drenched this stratagem of yours."

"Just like a gallant juvenile screaming at his belle."

"Bereft of acumen they certainly are not."

"How dare you utter such obloquious drivel?"

... wtf is this? Am I watching a drama or learning literature? Would it hurt to simplify it a bit?

Squad goals right there! I love it when Shim Chung high kicked that doctor but he decided to mess with our girl so we were forced to scam and bring out all of his dirty laundry. I LOVE THAT TEAM! AND I LOVE SHIN'S CHARACTER! HE IS SO CUTE! SHIM CHUNG IS CUTE!

Watched 2 episodes so far but it's such a GREAT start! I feel like I'm hooked already so I hope this won't disappoint the more it progress. Also, a part of me really wish there won't be any romance between the stepfather and our female lead because I like their relationship the way it is.
