You should also mention the second female lead in here. You get lots of fangirls (including me) who occasionally (or most of the time) suffer from the second lead syndrome when it comes to men but there is hardly any appealing secondary female character that makes you feel like that. I don't remember the last time I was rooting for the second female character to win in ANYTHING. Whether it's the main male lead or my heart as much as I did with second male leads. It annoys me to no end because she either is a b**** or an awful character as a whole. We need better written female characters k-drama cause this won't do.
Princess Yeon Hwa: I would do anything for you brother! I would sacrifice everything to make you the king.
Prince Wook: Okay, be a hostage.
Princess Yeon Hwa: .... on second thought, maybe not.
That's how watching episode 12 felt like lol Also Wang So looked like he was about to drop his mixtape any minute at the end.
I'm not mad lol sorry if I seem that way. The thing is we already knew it will go down that line because it had too. However, I felt their execution was done very poorly. What Princess Yeon hwa said didn't work out because it needed to be foreshadowed before we get to that stage. The scene with Wang Yo and Wang Wook, based on my assumption, was not for the throne but because of what Wang So did before that. Thus his hinted "dark" personality felt like it grew from Hae Soo than out of his desire for the throne.
The scene where Wang So used his coat to shield Hae Soo from the rain had to be the most beautiful moment I've seen in this drama. I also love how Baek Ah, Wang Jung, Wang Moo shared her pain by staying with her instead of abandoning her. They are the real MVPs.
Pearl: I don't like how they made it seem like he wasn't interested in the throne just to bring it up now. He was denying it so hard last episode and now he crumbled to a desire I never knew he had? O-okay?
He did it for his sister and mother so I can understand that. Although his sister deserved to be punished! He shouldn't have overlooked her crime and let another innocent woman take the blame. Still, he wanted to protect her so I agree with the fact it's realistic. But if he still wanted Hae Soo after this, I would be pissed off. There will be no saving his character from my wrath.
I noticed that Wang So expresses his love with actions more than words. While Wang Wook expresses his love with words more than his actions. They are quite the opposite aren't they? But they share a small similarity and that is, they do the opposite of what they say sometimes. Like how Wang So said he never drank the poison to save her life. And like how Prince Wook said that this will be the last time he will send her away... yes, I'm throwing shade here.
I have never went from "I love him" to "I hate him" as quickly as I did with the 8th Prince. I guess that can be considered a development right? He is a really good actor so I can't deny that.
I honestly don't get how Hae Soo can bring herself to love Prince Wook even when she knows he was her cousin's husband. Don't get me wrong, Prince Wook is charming but I would never consider liking him if I was very close with my cousin, almost to the point I considered her my sister. It wouldn't feel right and the way he talks to her, saying how he will give her the love he SHOULD HAVE GIVEN her COUSIN kinda ruins it for me.
Queen Yoo is a major Bitch (with a capital B) while princess Yeon Hwa is her rival. I just finished watching episode 10 and it was a disaster. Anyone who hurts Prince Wang So is my ENEMY, you hear me? Yes, this is the type of creature I've become because of him. Wang So is love, Wang So is life.
I don't know what drugs Hae Soo is on but she is clearly smoking something. What should she be doing is not treating Wang So like a monster for something he have YET TO DO but keep an eye on him so he wouldn't stray on the wrong path. Pamper him with love, kindness, friendship, happiness, because he is standing on the edge of a cliff right now. And one person's action can open up a different path but it seems like she doesn't understand that yet. If she keeps pushing him toward the edge by acting afraid, treating him like a monster then he will truly be a monster.
Do these people really want me to believe the 4th Prince is ugly because of a tiny ass scar on his face? I'm in disbelief. If he is what they call "ugly" then jesus christ, what am I? A potato? If these girls don't want him then he can have me. I will treasure this man for sure! He is sexy asf to my eyes, no amount of scars will make me think otherwise.
How can they keep this simple plot entertaining when it have 120 episodes? What's worse, they are each 1 hour long so that makes up 5 full days of someone's time O.O.... I don't know if I wanna watch this.
I've finished watching episode 10 but I already feel like suiciding from the character's actions. What went wrong with this drama have to be the adult female lead (mostly!). There is some interesting cases of amnesia in dramas but hers was dull and boring. Honestly, the scriptwriter could have done better with it's characters and plot so I'll drop it for now.
Can someone explain to me why they are called dragons? 1st dragon, 2nd dragon, etc? Is it because of the influence they have in the Joseon era? Or in the world? Perhaps it is a name to emphasis on their greatness? I'm only in episode 4 so far but this dragon thing is getting me hyped for no reason xD
Hae Soo: Didn't you say that you'd get my permission?
Wang So: Can I do it?
Hae Soo: No, you can't.
I'm DEAD!
Prince Wook: Okay, be a hostage.
Princess Yeon Hwa: .... on second thought, maybe not.
