Hua Ru Yue might be one of the top female characters of the year. I love me a girl who is treading the villain "of the show" but actually is the hero. She is COMMITTED to ruining his life. She is not letting no small apologies, small redemption or even small acts of love get in the way. That one decision that ruined her life, she is giving it back hundredfold. She doesn't give a fuck!
I just watched the recent episode and I knew Long Yuan was getting feasted on in the comments and lo and behold, y'all on his ass again 🤣 I'm laughing. It's funny because I don't hate him. He is just loyal and take initiatives that NOBODY asked from him. In a way, I get it, she is the enemy in his eyes and he is ready to take her down. I feel like Bai Jiusi did a shit job in giving the order. BJS believes if he doesn't tell them anything except a command that doesn't make sense, they going to listen. He knows his reasons for holding back, isn't a good reason but whatever he is doing isn't great either. I can't believe I'm saying this but Bai Jiusi is the worst leader for sure.
Anyway, that's why Li Mo is great. He doesn't cross any lines because he is waiting to get the full picture instead of jumping the gun. They should have made him in charge.

He needs to understand children and why she wanted them for him to understand her pain so I agree. We need more. I'm patient with the writing too but this is one of those shorter dramas so I'm curious how they will wrap it up.

I enjoyed the fact he actually made a friend and I also liked the fact he wasn't budging easily from his decision until he lost him. But it's not enough. It feels a little basic in terms of "human suffering". Like no, it's not just losing a friend to a fire or dying from an illness. The hardship is much more than this.

It's always the second half where they struggle. I'm still enjoying it but the second half definitely is dwindling a little bit and we need a stronger last 10 episodes to push this drama forward.
This is crazy to me because I'm up to date and just TODAY, I was like... "Does this show even have ost?" I genuinely can't remember if I heard a song that wasn't a soundtrack.
I don't care what anyone says, I'm on my girl side. It's so obvious she is right. Bai Jiusi clearly lacks empathy. I would go as far as to say he is not suffering enough in the mortal world. I need him starving, going to war, having to actually make connections and lose them to see how wrong he is.
