OMG!! Just a few hours to go till The Princess’s Gambit drops, and I’m already bracing myself to juggle both…
I wanted to watch that one too so thanks for informing me! Guess I'll have two shows to watch and we might see each other in the comments

I just want to say that Chung Gu isn't using his disability to manipulate others and never once used his own disability…
Agree. It also was done in a way that wasn't offensive by having the junior lawyer also have a hearing disability showing you the contrast between them morally.

I love how this drama also deals with disability issues. The stigma and the discrimination. But I admit there…
I just want to say that Chung Gu isn't using his disability to manipulate others and never once used his own disability to win his case. He uses people ignorance of the law to win and their weaknesses to turn their case as an advantage for him.

Watched this for Wan Yi because he is the only one I care about and I was surprised to read the comments today and see people shipped the FL with Lu because he was a little bit toxic. But you know what? I kinda see it. I do think Lou is a great character but I feel like there is a huge emotional disconnect with him and us as an audience with the way the show developed him. They don't show you his suffering enough and there is not enough scenes of him actually being upset about his own mistreatment or how he wishes to be viewed as family. Wan Yi, my love, of course tries to show it with his body language but it wasn't enough. There is not enough dialogue and depth, everything is very minimum emotionally. I want to see him connect with his family, for them to appreciate him more AND acknowledge how they mistreated him but it all gets brushed easily. So I get why people aren't as into him. Wan Yi, as an actor, was much better in Are You The One & Lost You Forever.

And LMAO Wan Yi really does play controversial roles. Please free him from this fake siblinghood.

The mother know how to love Mi-rae but doesn't know how to love Mi-Ji wow ...
There was one scene that showed she doesn't know how to love both girls and it's when Mirae suggested she will pay bills as "Miji" but her mom was like, no, keep that money and save it for yourself because she was worried about Miji not having enough money as the "unsuccessfuly sibling who sacrifice herself and was unfortunate" even though it's not explicit said. Mirae, of course, notice the difference in attitude and mentioned why was it okay to use "Mirae's" money? While Miji gets to free load, basically. The mom dismiss it but it shows that everyone takes her for guaranteed. She is "smarter" (she never stopped studying AT ALL and was pushing herself HARD to meet the expectations) and she got a "good" job so everyone assume she is successful and living a good life when she is getting bullied and can't even keep the money to herself because she is supporting the family.

Writers really want to squeeze every last teardrop we have instock in our eyeballs because they way the ensured WE NEED TO CRY for the last two episodes was insane. But I see the vision in where Hosu's mom needs to be in his life and how he needs to stop seeing himself as a burden and accepts her as his mom.

I didn't understand how she finally realized it?
She just suddenly noticed the difference between Mirae and Miji when she interacted with them both long enough to see the difference. That’s why she went to confront her mom and got triggered that everyone was taking her as a fool, although she was more triggered by the fact she herself hated this she couldn’t tell them apart and felt ashamed by it.

Man, I loved Chung Gu and even more so as an active antagonist in the story while Hosu was the active hero/protagonist. And they fact they are both disabled make the interactions and dynamic so good to watch. This was really good representation. I'm curious to see how Hosu is going to tackle his own disability from ep 11-12 and how it will affect his career and life.

He doesn’t see Mirae like a daughter.
I know but the weird vibe he gives off by mentioning how she have the same name as his daughter when he clearly have romantic interests in her is so off putting. He is dead ass using his daughter name to get close to her in conversation. Like Ew, why are you mentioning your daughter for having the same name?

The mother who couldn't tell apart her children have finally noticed the slightest shift in them to be able tell them apart now. This is a turning point for the mom and it shows that she cares about both of them to notice the change when she previously, couldn't. She really does care for Miji even though Miji implied she didn't. Like when Mirae holed up in her room for three days and she started to panick because Miji holed herself up for 3 years and never left the bed rotting stage except by force. When she wants her to save her money because she was unemployed and couldn't afford to take her unemployed daughter limited amount of money for bills. It feels like her mom is not used to taking care of her kids and it's taking her forever. The conversation between them was honestly rough because unconditional love always seems like the hardest thing to give despite being simple and easy in theory but so many parents ironically struggle with it. I don't know how but that always seem the case. It had me crying and I'm glad her mom at least told her to live her life.

Beat him, murder him, kill him, end his life, make sure he never live to see another day!

I'm so glad I didn't overreact. But, for real, I'm actually grossed out by that man in more ways than one.. Like did he say he have a daughter with the same name as Mirae??? And he lowkey sees her as his daughter? Ughhhh, like stay away from children and everybody.

Uhm, about Zhang Shuan, are you being too hard on him? for us, viewers, this drama is only about a few months…
He is mostly to blame for being the most boring character and having no actual plotline outside of centering his life around the girl.

Some characters in this show didn't deserve screentime.

Currently on ep 4

Oh my god, both girls are so hard on themselves with very clear moment were depression took over their lives that it's making me cry a lot. Like I understand both Miji and Mirae and I am able to see them both and see why they sometimes say harsh things to each other. While also caring so deeply for each other.

I'm not being harsh enough on him actually. The actor acting sucks, there is currently nothing going on for his character except being a simp forthe female lead and some of y'all eat it up because you like the idea of the female lead being liked multiple guys otherwise, you would have noticed how there is NOTHING for his character, no inspiration, personality, or even a life outside of just looking at the female lead starred eyes.

He knew her for 11 years yet couldn't confess at all. The courage only comes when it's revealed she got a husband. Wow, what a great guy! I'm not going to eat up bare minimum. I'm shocked you guys are though. I guess anyone can be a liked character if he likes the female lead.

Complaint rant:

Zhang Suan one of the worst characters in the show. There is nothing about his character that is giving. The fact he haven't gotten over her? Like bro, does he think he got a shot? There is zero chance and I'm being as realistic as I can. Ling'er deserves better than to have someone like this as her love thread. Like SPARE HER PLEASE!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏 PLEASE MY GIRL DOESN'T DESERVE THIS AS HER MAN FOR LIFE PLEEEEEEAS!!!!

Also Meng Chu... I can't believe this guy is the descendant of my man, Meng Chi or his family... However, the Yinlin Sect girl should DUMP HIS ASS. Your mom is RIGHT. If the man won't take initiatives, give up on him.

Beard brows! 🤣 Perfect name for him! And poor long dong can't handle seeing his beloved like that, but knows…
I never finished The Double. I need to continue that drama but I recognized him as the evil uncle from Perfect Match😂 I immediately recognized because I liked him. He just feels like that veteran actor that everyone will like.

I think it's safe to say most of us knew he took the punishment for her, right? They dropped a lot of hints. He constantly mentioned she broke the rules, how she would eventually attract trouble and as you know, when you break the rules, the natural order follows, a punishment is due.

I know he is a good guy deep inside, he was always looking out for her. I always underestood both sides but the reason why I side with Ru Yue is because he already the took a choice from her BEFORE. When he consultanted about the child and heard it would weaken her. He never ASKED what she thought about it. He knows she wants it but he still made the DECISION for her before everything unfolded for the worse.

Once again, I understand Bai Jiusi. He doesn't understand emotions that well. He just knows he wants her safe which is why he often lack compassion and empathy for the humans. He doesn't understand how his behaviour could hurt her because he is not thinking his behaviour hurts her. He is under the assumption his behaviour "keeps her safe" which is the most important factor for him. And anything "risky", in general, not related to the child birth, is a confusing behaviour. Because why would anyone take such risk?

Which led him to make the biggest mistake; building resentment/hatred in her. He doesn't understand that resentment/hate can be equal to love and even bigger than love. Which is why I understand Ru Yue. Ironically, when he left her in the mortal world and both of them suffered, he immediately jumped to marrying her, never questioning what he did. He never reached the point were he asked how's she doing. This faulty mindset is a danger for her actually because she can't keep giving him the grace when he never CHOSE to understand. He will NEVER see his faults because his mind isn't operated in a way to understand someone FIRST. When she stabbed him, he started to wonder "why", he started to want to know "why", he started to behave in a way that wants to understand.

Cuz why he built like that? 🤣 But what's worse is that I dig his vibe so hard. I wonder if the actor like rubs to his brows like men rub their beard?

Lmao like that guy never change. Very consistent with his hatred for my girl.

The problem when you like an actress a lot, is that, even if you don't like the drama, you have a feeling that…
I actually understand what you mean. You are looking at it from a storytelling side where the conflict wouldn't resolve if there is no development. It is stagnate from Hau Ruyue because of the past 27 episode she rarely bended on her decision or and barely developed as a character beyond her pain unlike her other roles were she was more dynamic as personality and in her development even her the plot point is revenge focused too out of pain. So her character feels empty and flat here. In comparison, Bai Jiusi is more of the dynamic character because he goes through many changes and development that makes his character grow. So yes, I understood you because I noticed a lot of people are misunderstanding you.
