So Seon U rather makes up a joke about liking Da Rim instead of handling rejection and moving on? π he's just…
I was going to say that. Like that was a loser behaviour to keep his feelings safe but after seeing how Darin reacted, I would say he actually chose to value their friendship and keep her as his close friends because she equally valued him. In a way, I would say it's a better conclusion and he was sweet to consider her feelings for it.
OMG exactly my feelings with this rom-com like old school romcomedying with a little of melo...and the songs the…
The writer set him up π I genuinely don't know why writers be doing that. If it was kinda like True Beauty or Start Up, I would have understood but this? He is not involved in her life, he isn't there to help her out, he doesn't get to have any defining moments so what's the point? I wish they made him the overprotective friend only because the way they were trying to one up one another is funny and very classic Kdrama.
This show is soooo nonsense. It's so silly and adorable. I just realised it have that old school Kdrama to it while mixing it with the modern touch. That's probably why it's sooooo good. I was just thinking the trope are there, the little bit of toxicity from both leads especially that scene when he threw the papers and she went in, to get in, not knowing how to swim just for him to save her. That's just early 2000s style romcom.
And Ki Yong is a fucking show stealer. He stole all of the spotlight. I can't stop smiling whenever he is on screen, smiling as well. Can't wait for him to be one of the best actors eventually. This role already giving him massive attention and I know it will go up from here.
I wish there would be a scene with Min Namgoong and Ahn Eunjin! My Dearest was phenomenal.
My dearest is one of my favourites but I think it will be near impossible to do a cameo for that one because it's in historical setting and I don't recall ever seeing a cameo for those genre. Would love to see it though. In a reference like him calling her name out.
No, the second lead is pissing me off. You had more than 2 decades to say something. To confess your love but the moment someone likes her, he suddenly gatekeeping from all directions as if she is only supposed to like him. You would think he would confess but he STILL DOESN'T. Get out of my face right now. The older I get, the less tolerance I have for these type of childhood friends leads who can't say shit despite being ahead of everyone else. It's always like, "I don't want to ruin my friendships." But they won't hesitate to stop any opportunity their friend might have with someone else. Stay a coward forever or grow the audacity to say you like someone. We can't have both because the outcome won't change how your friend is feeling.
Cash cow season. The fact netflix chose to end it by showing us the USA candidates... It was giving Squid Game ending where there was an American version of this game happening, hinting for S4..
Let's talk about the characters. I wouldn't say they ruined Usagi because she was still the same but because her motivation to go back was basically NON EXISTING, it's like... What's the point? You went back just to risk your life (and your husband's) for NO reason??? For no bloody reason. Oh wait, there was a reason. It's to make another season for this show.
The ending was also atrocious.
As for the games, they were actually not bad. They were fun but my issue is the side characters were weak intellectual compared to the last two seasons. The one that annoyed me the most was the siblings. The way the sister was gatekeeping the points and the way they didn't even bother giving her any proper personality. Please, had me cursing her out. Usually, siblings relationship in dramas are precious to me but this one was one of the worst.
I hardly felt emotional attached to any of the characters. Arisu was the only one that made me feel sad at the end. I liked Rei but she took a backseat after the zombie game.
Overall, this season felt pointless season and the writing could have been better.
I never read the webtoon, I donβt know its details, and everything I say comes solely from the drama. From what…
Beautifully said. I'm so glad you mentioned how your views of her was the way Junseo saw her and you finally snapped out of it. She is a very grey character and I think the most notable aspect is that the moment she used the cafe owner, her every action afterwards was taken as malicious even though it's far from the truth. You really just nailed it that the audience is completely warped by Junseo judgement because why do I have to explain that grandma died because she was allergic to cats and accidentally fell to her death? Did we ALL not see it happen? Even with evidence, people doubt every action she took. Again, with Jaeoh. There are people who took Junseo words as gospel that she manipulated Jaeo into self sacrifice. That she manipulated the situation to look like a victim. Did we not see that the husband drugged her? Do you believe she lied that she was drugged? That she had amnesia and can't remember what's happening anymore?
After what she did to her father, people refused to budge from the decision that not every action was done purposely. Like you said, the audience judgement became harsher than the truth. If she was as villainous as everyone was saying, she would have taken care of the bully when she started invading her house and stealing her stuff to sale but she let her off easy. If no one is seeking out to destroy her, she doesn't seek to destroy others either. The only time she hurt that bully is when she sought her out and stabbed her.
I'm not going to say she is completely harmlessly because she's not. It's clear she puts herself first and her wants first. But if not threatened, she wouldn't have been selfish. It came at a cost.
No law ever stated that anyone can just kill someone by driving them over a cliff as justice, instead you gather…
I think the fact barely anyone here sees Junseo act as an act of murder when he tried to kill her but saw it as, "He is just trying to stop her π another proof that she cares about nobody because she didn't care about him after he tried to kill her π" even though she have pushed him away multiple times from her but he never listened. But you know? Fandoms are known to be male centered. They see all of the faults of the women and can't see the faults of the men. So it's no surprise the fans here also can't see the faults of the men in here either.
you haven't watched extraordinary attorney woo? that's a pretty popular one and hes the ML
Yea, I haven't watched that one nor am I planning too despite it being one of the more popular dramas. I'll probably watch it in the future but at my current stage, I can't stand episodic court dramas were there is a case, it takes 2-3 episodes to solve it and then hop into the next case. And I'm pretty sure that drama have that structure.
I just started this and strangely, the male actor reminds me a bit of Ju Ji Hoon and Namkoong Min. I don't remember seeing this actor before (saw he is in Tale of Nokdu but he doesn't ring a bell for me) but he pretty talented from the 3 episodes I've seen him in.
Opinion of someone: Actually the real monster/ psycho of the story is junseo in the Dramaaaa not webtoon : I honestly…
Gave everyone a like under this thread.
I would say the documentary Junseo did is also the way some of the viewers think. That's why we have viewers here who genuinely believes she is evil, people who believe she is responsible for everyone that got hurt (grandma, Ingang and Jaeoh) and that she manipulated all of these people into their death, and believe she lived longer because the bad guys win and she's the bad guy in the story for them. They believe she is behind the vicious cycle. His documentary present how people view her.
Usually, when someone gets exposed there is always a division between the people because there are different sides of the story. His story, her story and the truth. People usually decide on which version they liked the most.
I was contemplating between a review or a comment but the ending pissed me off so bad, I couldn't even gather…
This! I wanted to talk about Ahjin and Jaeo friendship. How they both experiences abused and that's why when HE killed his father, she asked him to cry and repent to have shorter sentence because she knew he deserved better than jail and deep down, she wanted that outcome for her dad. Truly a mirror but he was a kind mirror. The one that carried guilt while she wasn't. She doesn't believe she should carry guilty for people who ruined her life. I have a much deeper analysis and conversation I wanted to share but I'm tired of the audience that this show somehow attracted. So I feel refreshed reading your post and how you brought out relevant details of law school, the connection she have with grandma and Jaeo and what she actually hoped to achieve.
Yes and do you know what is more sad ? The fact that audiences also think junseo was good and ajin was evilBut…
Exactly. Some of them will wake up and realize these men are awful too... soon but I'm sure some are convinced he is the good guy.
Don't talk to me about Jaeo, that's my pookie bear π he deserved the happy ending the most.
I hope she's no longer surrounded by people who wants her downfall because that started the whole, "I want power so no one can discard and use me." That led her to marrying that scum.
I posted but it was super long but I couldn't help it. I held my head in SHOCK because of how dumb he was in that last episode. I almost dropped it mid episode but my sister was like, "WE ARE NEAR THE END, KEEP WATCHING."
