Sending assassins or "thugs" is such an overplayed plot. We need something new. I'm glad we are not getting that…
You can drop the show. I'll recommend you to watch Chief Kim or Doctor Prisoner if you want a more serious drama.

Subjectivity is up to the viewer. Some could analyze her and find her interesting while others not so much. I like grey characters so I do enjoy Soo Ah but at the same time, I know why people wouldn't like her.

I like how Chairman Jang doesn't send assassins like other chairmans in dramas.

Hate Soo Ah all you want but from a cinematic persepective, she is the most interesting character on the show.…
You can like a morally grey/evil character without making it seem like their decision is something a lot of people will do cause that's not true. How many people you know would be willing to work with a murder who doesn't feel regret for killing their victim? Why do you think ex-convicts have a hard time finding a job? Because people don't want to work with criminals (whether it's thievery, frauds, etc). So for you to say a lot of us will work with someone like Geun Won is simply inaccurate. I can work with an ex-convict if their reasons are justified or their crimes isn't downright awful. However, I would NEVER, EVER work with someone who killed someone I consider a father.

I find it refreshing to see a protagonist be a antagonist for a moment. When Woojin told the patient he saved him just to let him suffer was unexpected. We didn't get that predictable lines where "it's not your fault" "Learn from your mistakes" bullshit.

I watched the first one 4 years ago yet it was still memorable in my head! I wonder if the young girl and the pregnant woman child will be older characters in this movie.

I would say the gore isn't that bad. If you don't mind spoilers, I'll tell you what to expect.
Don't use your imagination lol just skip. It's not that gruesome when you see it in the drama but finding out he did makes it gross.

I dislike all the female characters in this drama. I can't decide who is worse. Morally, Su Ying character is…
I haven't seen any other version but Xiaoyuer did need some character development. They could have done better with both FL I don't know why Chinese drama love to create characters who fell in love at first sight. It feels weird.

The gore is pretty easy in the later episodes. But in the first episode, you gotta prepare yourself mentally. If you can handle short scenes of beheading then you are safe. Although @42:30 and end at 45:55 (you can skip), one of the guys cooks the dead boy body and feeds it to the starving people. He lied and said it was a deer but the female doctor finds out it's not. So if you handle this, I think you are set to go.

Just to make sure you are okay, there was only ONE scene where they show the guy getting his stomach ripped. You can close your eyes if you can't handle it.

Just started this drama and I swear historical c-dramas have the most selfish characters in history. Lots of these characters action don't make sense. The mother is hurting her son intentionally just so she can frame the other son for it... there is nothing wrong with their relationship yet it might have problems cause of these actions.

Reading the reviews is making me debate if I'm in the mood for tragedies right now. I think I'll watch this is a much slower pace than what I'm used too.
