Can someone explains me the story behind Jae In's adoption?
This was my understanding.
The grandfather had 3 children, 2 sons (both deceased but not sure how) and 1 daughter. Each had a son.
ML's bio father is the 2nd son who left the family and gave up inheritance. ML's birth mother remarried.
When eldest grandchild passed, ML was adopted by 1st daughter-in-law, thus bringing him back into the family to be in-line for inheritance.
I came to this conclusion when aunt says ML is the son of her "other brother" and how the apple doesn't fall far from the tree regarding ML's willingness to give up inheritance.
