About international fans and fans of other actresses, I guess we can’t do much about it. I mean every public figure have those kind of shadow (let me call them shadow because I don’t want to use haters) follow them around, mainly because they (in our case SSO) is what their bias are not. They are insecure and the only thing they know to vent their insecurities is to target and hate the one that was supposedly trigger their insecurities. The best way to response them is to walk away, they hate it when they did not get us react the way they want. I personally think it’s useless to talk sense with them or argue, they are not targeting her to understand her. As for others who might think bad of her because of those shadows, I believe people who really want to learn about someone would learn about them by judging her themselves by watching her works. If they only goes by what others said, I don’t think they actually care to get to know her. Well, their lose I say.

I understand you, I do. But I felt that if she was fine with how things are, we as fans shouldn’t mess that peace of her because it won’t feel that good if her team start to interfere with her personal account and what she do with it. Their life are already very limited.

I don’t know if the instagram’s algorithm affect her work or popularity because I believe she rarely update there. And I don’t think the producers actually care about followers and mostly hire the actors for their talent. Although she might look unpopular among other fans, I believe she is well-known among the producers and directors and taking minimal projects to work on is her own choice. She might want to balance work and living, you know.

As fans of course we want to see her more active and in more projects but we should be happy that she is actually living her life because that is a privilege not many dare to embrace.

I am a fan of her too and sometime I also get frustrated at the long wait or the limited projects she took but then I thought it’s best for her that she can choose how she want to live.

Oh okay. It’s better than having different story merged in one and have to wait for each story to finish before getting to the couple I wait for.

Do anyone know if it will be like a few stories that take place after one another or it’s a story as a whole?

After commenting you, I also searched for the novel and got to know that there was supposed to be a part 3 of the movie, possibly with a happy ending but China started ban on bl then and part 3 did not happen. So likely, the ending of part 2 was supposed to be a lie, meaning they lied to us by letting us think ml die.

But about the ending of the novel, yeah, it seems they reunited after 20 years of separation and end up together in their forties.

You sure it’s not the other way around? I mean the ml die in ARTTL. You are not telling me they ended it on cliffhanger and it was all a misunderstanding, right? All this time I was traumatized by it and… Nah, I think it’s DH which either did not follow the ending of the book or did not cover the full book.

I think I will let this marinate first because 10 eps 10 weeks is a little too much for my patience. I will begin watch it when they are around 9 episodes and then watch the 10th ep together with everyone, for my sanity.

I hope so too. I mean it should be normal to produce these Bl, GL or whatever just like hetero dramas. I mean it’s only drama in the end and them forbidding it don’t actually do any gain or differences because fans can access it from other countries. I don’t really understand what they are trying to do to be honest.

Although these series were streamed outside China, fans can still access it somehow and sometime trying to stop something actually make it more tempting. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So yeah, I don’t really know what they are trying to do.

Hm… I doubt these so called government did not know these series exist and I believe they profit from it too by closing one eye. Like ”hey, it wasn’t filmed and streamed in China so nobody would think we allowed it to produce”. But they are allowing these companies to use the blind spot in their rules by pretending to be ignorant. They are sly like that. Only that they can’t do it with mainstream actors since nobody would buy it that they didn’t turn a blind eye then to take profit from it. I really despise their two-faces attitude.

(Now this feels like a h*te speech but really, I think most people know it but they also turned a blind eye just for their guilty pleasure).

Since this is a remake of ARTTL, do it mean it end the same way? Tell me because I am crossing my fingers it did not although it might be impossible to change that ending. I am not willing to put myself through any trauma again so please be honest with me so I can stop myself from watching it.

Before I watched the drama, I thought the ending would leave me traumatized like most Chinese bl out there, partly because of the comments as well but it surprised me by giving a happy ending we could only dream in the ones before this. I don’t understand why some are complaining.

Another question is, do this mean China allow BL now? I mean this drama was full with kisses and NC scenes. If they could have pass the censorship then any of the bromance with mainstream actors should be fine to air?

They shouldn’t have ended together. Of course they loved each other and all but … like I don’t think someone can marry a guy that had her family end up in ruin or a member of the family that had his family killed.

Yes, some of the KP actors seemed to disappear to thin air (feel like) and it’s a pity because they could have been in more projects if BOC was willing to take a chance with them too. I feel like some have left BOC and I hope they will get more project wherever they go, some of them really deserve it.

I don’t know what you mean with going international, do you mean like work with international production or have his work stream in international platform like Netflix? I do wish he get to work in Netflix original because their production is good.
