the story is really good but really can’t feel chemistry between the leads..
I don’t feel any chemistry either and I’m 27 episodes in. it’s the FL I don’t feel anything from.

I want to preface this with I am an OG Xu Kai Stan from before most people knew he existed. I love EVERYTHING about him in this drama but am majorly struggling with either Jing Tians performance or the script, I can’t figure out which thing is at fault for me feeling nearly no chemistry from JT’s side. Xu Kai has some kind of magic that always gives chemistry from his side. But for me, JT is giving me zero romantic vibes and it’s killing the show for me. The kissing scenes are doing nothing for me which has never happened to me in a XK drama. Is it the script or her performance? I can’t figure it out. Am I the only one? I’m at ep 27 and trying to motivate myself to keep going since people say Xu Kai’s performance in the rest of the episodes is amazing but I wish I felt something…… anything…. for the romance here 😿

This drama is SO SO SO GOOD. LYN is everything I want in a ML. LSS is everything I want in a FL. Two strong smart badass MATURE characters in a mature romance. Amazing supporting cast that’s well fleshed out. Zero filler episodes. gorgeous cinematography and musical scoring.

Person Kim Sung Yong
this director has stolen my heart after My Dearest. The entire drama is gorgeous from beginning to end. he doesn’t rush anything and the cinematography is stunning.

It's a good series. I was watching it with interest. But in the 9th episode, Nanthal is a girl who is the strongest…
There is a bit of context missing here:

1. Tagon was and is possibly the strongest Igutu alive. he’s incredibly strong smart and good at fighting. He is seasoned. While the Neanthal is very young, inexperienced and has never fought someone like Tagon which is very emotional for her. When the son, Arok stabs her, it’s because her guard is down and he’s behind her. he says “Noona, please stop” because he knows her. She has been his caretaker for months so she also has sympathy for Arok. On top of this, shown in the flashbacks, she witnessed her parents killed before her eyes, and when Arok the son shows up, she realizes that now she will become the monster who kills a parent in front of their child. the entire purpose of the scene is to show that despite her being the strongest, she is not a monster, not like Tagon, and she bears the conflict of her conscious preventing her from carrying out her revenge.

The more i watch the episodes the more i feel sorry for every problem they have. Its such a great story, the writers…
very strongly agree. this story needed 3 seasons and it’s just a shame that it seems we won’t be getting them 😿

I hate that they already spoiled that Tagon lives….. at least let us sweat it out for a few days.

I’m glad that Tagon was not actually insane and weak because that was one of my biggest issues this season…. that they had turned him into a pathetic insane weakened person. With that said, I’m having a hard time with HOW they unveiled his plan……. and who he chose to let in on it.

Now my issue is with how they continue to make Saya out to be a fool who is contstantly being tricked and losing. It sucks. On the other hand I can’t even figure out what Saya’s sincere thoughts are which is probably by design but very unsettling.

These 2 episodes were stressful AF.

I’m glad we’ve started the “knock down the giant walls” portion of the show.

I’m scared for Yangcha who I’m worried will die next week. Sigh. I feel sick. 😿😭

Can someone kindly explain to me why viewers that come to this comment section dont read the comments at all?…
I wish we could *pin* comments at the top so the lazy people who don’t scroll down to look at comments would see important stuff and stop asking the same questions 😩

there are 5 male Neanthal survivors in season 1 but we only meet 2 of them as adults. But the 3rd one is known…
he is not the new Rottip. He is the Neanthal who grew up with Rottip. Rottip has not appeared in Season 2 and has been recast, the actor listed on MDL is the new Rottip. Nickhun sadly could not reprise the role. not sure when we will see the new Rottip. The Neanthal we have seen this season with the older Neanthal Yiseroobu is not listed on MDL (many cast are missing from the page)

I asked desame question.is this the last season?, from a responds I got to know. another final season could happen.…
they already torn down or are tearing down the set of Arthdal. sadly yes they are rushing and cutting out a huge portion of the original story. basically we are lucky we got this second season. it’s really sad.
