I wish I watched this BEFORE “See you in my 19th life” because the bar was set so high by SYIMNL that this feels …….. meh and uninspired in comparison 😩
the style of shooting, colors, styling, music …. this feels very very old style standard verging on outdated Kdrama a la 2015….. for better or worse 🥴
This is so beautifully shot and executed ! the cinematography and OST and costumes ….. what a gorgeous gorgeous drama. This is just so lovely in every way but mostly it’s a true feast for the eyes and ears production wise. I laughed. I cried. The cast had amazing chemistry. This was superior to Part 1 for me in most ways.
It's good if you enjoy it! It's not really my kind of drama as I sadly never really managed to care about any…
I’m pretty sure I’m in the top 5% of drama watchers in the number of dramas I’ve watched and specifically Xianxia which are my favorite genre which is why this one does not rank at the bottom of the pack for me. It’s a 7.5 for me. But I’ve watched some that were either horrifically bad from start to finish or started out on and fell off a cliff.
This one to me, is just average and not horrifically bad nor great. Just my opinion

*somewhat enjoyed* means I found it watchable. Not great. Just watchable. I don’t hate anyone enough for it to be aggravating and I don’t love anyone enough for it to be aggravating. Sometimes that makes it ….. an easy watch lol
rarely do I find negative comments really funny, especially about a drama I’ve somewhat enjoyed (ie: it’s watchable) this drama may be a first in that I can genuinely laugh along to the negative comments /criticism because it’s really true lol this drama is a mess but somehow I cannot give up on it 😭
the fights and the story are good but the character relationships are really rushed, the two main leads became…
In real life this dynamic happens all the time between fighters. They live a very unique life where it’s easy to immediately bond. Add in the marine component and the fast track to friendship wasn’t unrealistic at all.
This is action packed and packed with heart! Not perfect but perfectly pure in what it wanted to achieve!
I don’t know if it’s because my husband is a boxer and we met through boxing but I LOVED this. Some of the best boxing choreography /fight scenes I’ve scene ever. Just beautifully executed. You can never defeat the pure heart of a boxer!!!! Do Hwan was EPIC !!!!
Give me these two as special agents chasing bad guys around the world !!! Incredible bromance between 2 guys with the purest sweetest friendship and moral compasses!!!! I know so many fighters who are exactly like this in real life. Loved loved loved. Do not drop before the last episode.
Am I the only one who just doesn't care about this arc at all? I just want to get back to the present ...
not alone! this arc should have been first. doing it backwards takes away so much of the buildup and suspense. super weird choice by the director. maybe it’s this way in the books but it doesn’t work in the tv drama 😩

Still not as bad as Legend of Chong Zi 🤷🏻♀️
