I think MasterLee lied at the start of Part 2 somewhat. He *did* say at the beginning that as long as the powers and memories were suppressed the body & soul wouldn’t clash. But everything else he said contradicted that by making it seem like since Naksu’s energy was used to re-craft this new Bu-Yeon 2.0 she was as much Naksu as she was Bu-Yeon
I think the show is changing up the rules as it goes, which it likes to do. Bottom line, whether BY 2.0 is still a soul shifting situation or a fusion situation or whatever hocus pocus they want to call it, the soul and the body belonged to two different people and still do. And the only way they stay compatible is when Naksu cannot access her powers. In both version 1.0 and 2.0

1. Little Naksu was shown hiding the the woodshed with fire all around her. Could be a subtle touch. 2. Big OG Naksu is always shown in RED/blue 3. Big MU-deok/Naksu always ALWAYS described herself as a bird. Whole Part 1 theme. 4. Big OG Naksu always flew up to the top of the tree in flashbacks. And MuDeok Naksu Asks Uk to take her there. 5. Jade was made into two bird eggs. 6. Little Bu Yeon in Part 1 says to Mu-deok/Naksu“WE didn’t lose the ice stone *this time*. WE. We we weeeeee as in they had long ago ties somehow. 7. Mama Jin locked her up like the Firebird egg has been locked up 8. The repeated “Rescue Me” metaphors 9. Her body was burnt to ashes. 10. Her “it is better to die than do nothing” saying is like exactly what a Phoenix would think! Because they can rise again!

It’s confusing because if we use logic it makes no sense. Her soul dying while her powers remain never made any sense to me and the entire concept including using Naksu’s energy which transformed Bu Yeons face to hers is nonsensical. The whole thing is non sensical so I stopped trying to make it make sense after episode 1. Lol

It’s always been Bu Yeons body. That was made clear. Naksu’s body was burnt to ash and she has been living in Bu Yeons body first as Mu-Deok and now as Bu Yeon version 2.0 which fused them together. But to stay fused neither the powers or memory can be regained. Now the fuse will start potentially tearing.
Master Lee made it clear in episode one that if the powers & memories came back the bodies would clash. Which is why I was hoping she never got the memories back.
It’s interesting that Master Lee made a specific point today to correct how it works and that it’s not regaining her memories that activate her powers…
It’s the gaining powers that activate her memories. He never says anything that isn’t important so there is a reason he went out of his way to say this……

I prepared myself a long long time ago for a sad ending so that’s why I’ve been 10000% happy with this Part 2 “non badass Naksu/ sweet happy go lucky romance” and would be thrilled if literally they just fall in love like this without any memory being restored. Living happily ever after as just happy sweet Jin Bu Yeon would be my happy ending. I don’t need her to get back her OG body. I’ve always said a return to her OG self means nothing but pain and angst. So I don’t need it lol
I just spitballing on theories and how it could go and not making any judgements. Once they went this route I let go and am just riding along for Part 2 wherever it takes me 🤷🏻♀️
P.S. what if Naksu is actually going to be the Phoenix firebird reborn if she is expelled from Bu Yeons body and that’s why she always talked about being a bird on top of a tree.
