That’s really not what the whole show is about. That’s what the first few episodes were about.
The show is about how all she had as Naksu was her powers. She had no friends, no family, no love, and nothing else to live for but revenge. But over the episodes she loses the one thing she had (Powers) but gains all the things she did not have. And now she is finally happier. While many viewers are obsessed with her the way she was, it was not a happy life for her to live as Naksu, so she isn’t obsessed with her powers anymore. Her main motivation was always to get the ice stone so that she would not “Run Wild” . It was fun to taste having her powers again but both she and Jang Uk and the show are about sacrificing power to protect people.
The show is about her character growth as well as Jang Uk’s. It’s not about her going back to her old self. Or even her old body. That’s a viewers projection onto her.
Great point about So Yi taking the worm out her body, I remember Jin Mu threaten her that if she ran the worm…
Pretty sure she didn’t remove the worm. People are just saying she did but it’s highly doubtful because it would be a huge plot hole if she could do that that easily.

Her real father is Papa Jin/Choi. It’s not Jang Gang. Jin Mu just manipulated him because he was insecure and Jin Mu needed a reason to make him willing to sacrifice her to get the Ice Stone
Pretty sure she did NOT remove the worm. People are speculating but it wouldn’t make sense.
For the confused (and I understand the confusion due to the way it was revealed)
Jin Bu Yeon is NOT Jang Gangs daughter. The scene was written that way to explain to the audience why PapaJin/Choi was ok with using her and letting her die /sacrificing her in order to obtain the ice stone, it’s badly written but Jin Mu makes clear that he just used Papa Jins insecurity/inferiority complex against him by making him think BY wasnt his daughter so that Jin Mu could get him to take BY to find the Ice Stone and they could kill her. If he knew she really was his daughter, he wouldn’t have been ok with killing her. It was just a lie Jin Mu used to manipulate him.
Jin BY’s real father is Papa Jin/Choi (at least based on what we know now……. Her origins in general are still a mystery since she is alive because of the ice stone)
Shoutout to Mama Jin who STILL is too dense to realize completely that “MD” is JBY. The show is testing all of my patience with extreme plot holes/bad illogical writing/inconsistent characters. I truly thought she was playing dumb and had figured it out but instead she’s still lost in the sauce until whatever happens next week when she finally figures it out.

Many of us agree that today would have been a much better way to end Part 1. They could have shown some scenes to preview Part 2 but it should have ended here for Part 1.
Maybe. Or maybe Uk doesn’t need them because he’s now got The Kings star energy and is now the keeper of the Ice Stone. He just doesn’t understand that yet.
