I think I do agree with you. Most of the people here are of the same opinion as yours. I feel its right to sympathize…
Go for it! You could do a March Madness style face off and come up with the worst drama mom ever.

I can understand why Seo Hyun Jin's character in OHYA (AMO) would bother someone - her reaction to being left right before her wedding is so "not modern western dating aesthetic." If something like that happened to a friend of mind, I would think "You are so lucky to find this out ahead of time - you go, girl" But for Seo Hyun Jin, she's just so beaten down by a lifetime of being second best and feeling unloved. To me, she was a broken doll and that's why the actress chose to play her so emotionally unleashed. The female character in that drama that really bothers me was Heo Ji-ya, Do-kyung's mother. The actress screeched and bitched and basically caused everything bad to happen and I was surprised no "truck of doom" arrived for her!

Hi, have you read the novels in Mandarin or translated into English? and if it was in English, where did you find…
For non-Chinese readers, there are lists of translated novels over on Novelupdates.com

I just found out that the silly "My Disciple Died Yet Again" has a drama adaption. Its worth going through the MDL tag for novel adaptation and then looking it up on Novel Updates. Sometimes you luck out on a translated one. I tracked the so-sodrama "The General & I" back to the great novel "A Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated."

I watched this years ago and found it a bit tedious - but as I've grown older, the slower, final portion of this film is my favorite. It's the constant gun play that doesn't hold up. A surprisingly true meditation on the nature of friendship.

This woman is lovely - both as an actress and as a woman. She needs to be in everything!

This is a surprising movie - at first it seems like a low brow comedy, then it turns into a bit of social/political commentary about Chinese society and then, finally, a sweet romance happy ending with a dash of "sticking it to the man" thrown in. AND the second lead turns out to be handsome Tony Yang hiding under all that dirt?! Really - not what I was expecting but much better in a way . . . I'm going to have to ponder this!

Very sweet movie - also, it was lovely to see two actors just being themselves and not worrying about do they look perfect. Their acting shone through.

I must admit, I was much more moved than I thought I would be by this drama. Even though it used so many Korean drama tropes (death of parents, crushing debt, school bullying, rich kid/poor kid) - I liked it. I especially liked that our heroine wasn't all so perky and cheery even though her life was bad. Can't wait for season 2!

I just rewatched this and noticed it’s supposed to be based on a web novel “ who says the martial arts circle is good?” by Ziyue. Well, there’s nothing out there under this title. Does anyone recognize this novel? It sounds like a manga or web toon to me.
