I was out a little bit with some emergencies, and I missed about 2 weeks, am still super short on time, so I am carefully picking which dramas to watch. My strategy was to watch 1-2 last eps to determine.
Surprisingly THIS drama won the competition for my time. I watched the last 2 episodes and wow was impressed and so I started skimming through eps I missed and wow found the scene at the grave of Jin Ju and her father - wow HJ and Chloe had an AMAZING scene!!!!! HJ actor is now the key actor as he wrestles with all the conflicts that HJ has inwardly and outwardly, the pressure HJ has to grow or make really greavely deadly wrong mistakes, and the actor is nailing it! Yay

So I might have to watch all the eps I missed :)
I am actually impressed with this drama bc the script is working out the inner and outer conflicts, and the actors are really portraying it. The characters are forced to absorb new info and change as they encounter new information

I do wish that Chloe was written as more complex.... the writer made her into a robot who just selfishly thinks of her revenge. It is SO BORING. That actress can do so much more. Please, make Chloe more complex.

I wish that MJ actor get some private lessons in acting asap bc he is the weakest link here (the second worst, the worst is the secretary of the Aunt/Mom but she does not matter - but MJ does matter!!!!! that role has to be done by a skilled actor) and that the script makes MJ character deeper. MJ has so much inner conflicts too. Work them out.

Chairman actor is just amazing in that role, so real.

His wife YR was such a boring one-dimensional psychopath but in recent episodes she became more complex - on one hand, we see her as a real mom to HJ and someone who knows what real love is and how necessary it is - and on the other hand, she became a lot more cruel bloody killer almost killing HJ's real dad.

HJ's real dad is an exaggeration and it fits this role, in a mockery, we see how a good person can serve the evil

Overall, this drama started as such a soapy soap and had its soapy moments but it is an amazingly well done drama, actually.

he is cuddly to her, he kisses her as@ and does everything for her, and back then she was a nobody so she must have been flattered by his subservient admiration and blind dedicated service,
so I am sure one night in desperate need she just grabbed him for additional services
And maybe she used him later as a live s.x toy too - and maybe even while being married to Chairman

This review builds on the great review by @HappyPacket. I watched only 3 eps so far and I really appreciate the SA, beating, cell phones, etc issues the review pointed out so astutely

I agree that the drama went overboard with portraying teachers ONLY as good guys , and giving them permission to beat up students too, like hitting students' palms with a stick

Imo the drama went overboard too with portraying victims as stupid, dumb, naive, isolated, and/or passive, as victims incapable of self defending - but I think that was done to exaggerate to really show the traits that all victims do have
And the drama went slightly overboard to show how the other students and teachers did not care - but again it really showed what it REALLY LOOKS LIKE IN REAL LIFE - the environment of selfishness.

Hiding real SA *sexual assault and harassment" is a LOT MORE COMMON than false accusations of SA, and I agree that the real SA should have been addressed. That "livestream influencer" girl was first a victim of real SA. Teachers and many adults do such bad stuff to kids and other adults, and most victims just eat the sh.t and stay silent, and if they speak up, the society shuns them, because the perpetrator is usually a skilled sociopath/psychopath.
in this case, the victim got into revenge mode and turned into an evil sociopath herself.

I am also glad that the false accusation of SA was brought up as a part of sociopathical manipulation, bc sociopaths are actually very common and we never talk about it.

In this case, the drama showed us how a sociopath works, and it was very obvious, nobody from the audience could miss it in. In real life, it is often done behind the scenes, the sociopath manipulates people OTHER than the victim via gossip, gaslighting, making deals, and turns other ppl against the victim - so the other people "beat up"/destroy the victim, and the lying sociopath stays well hidden. SOCIOPATHS ARE SUPER DANGEROUS BECAUSE THEY ARE "NICE PEOPLE" AND EXTREMELY WELL HIDDEN.

and yeah there are also psychopaths, the ones who directly attack, and often from a well camouflaged position, usually in a positions of power, like Congressman and his son. Most who you call "sadists" are actually psychopaths

The last thing that the other review did not mention and imo is the KEY to everything is that all this beating up of few bad guys and the teachers beating up any student is .... very stupid bandaiding.
Yeah sure there are always some sociopaths/psychopaths who are bad apples and cause problems. BUT
The real problems are all the OTHER students, who never said a word, who blindly obeyed bullies, who GENUINELY LAUGHED at bullies' beating up, humiliating the victims. *** THAT *** is the problem.
The real problem is that we saw ONE other student who was raising questions and trying to raly other students, but we also saw how all other students just ran away.
The real problem is that we saw only 3 complaints to this "educational police" - how come no other students complained to anyone, not even other teachers or their own parents
The real problem is that the victims were dumb and did not take any action.
The real problem is that the bullied teachers were dumb and did not take any action. We saw some teacher talking about it but we never saw teachers join together to take action.
The real problem is that the teachers and principal were corrupt and/or dumb and did not take any action
The real problem is that the parents did not take any action. The bullying was either by kids who had parents who "beat up" / destroyed other kids' parents and teachers, or by kids who had no functional parents.
The parents of bullied kids never took any proper action.... They did not know their kid was bullied.... they did not care.... OR they were naive and stupidly stood up to the bullies and destroyed themselves and the kid
The parents of OTHER kids never took any action.... did their kid even tell them about bullying that prevented learning and destroyed students' lives?

So until this GENERAL SOCIETAL SITUATION changes, the bad guys have a free reign
And the general situation will NOT change by teachers beating the students or parents beating the students. it can change ONLY if the students inwardly know what is right and what is wrong and stand up together against any violations.

I dislike the drama for so much violence. The "education police" beats up students, and students beat each other up just like in Weak Hero or Study Group.
I will fast forward this for research, just to see what other people like to watch, and what the current bullying strategies are

there always is, and it is well camouflaged under "fun"

Rattling off some "fun" plots - Ducks and Mice who go to some "jungle countries" to "help the good king", duck and mice who do not have families and adults who just date forever, the kids from some unknown parents , the funny super rich Old Scrooge whom we pity for being so stupid, the poor but good and happy - reactive - Mouse and Duck, the powerful but poor Popeye, etc etc etc etc
in dramas/movies like Low Life and many others, it is a about special people and showing how bad guys always win and there is no hope for anything good
In other dramas/movies like Pretty Women, we see the "magic" of someone unprivilleged somehow hitting the jackpot and becoming rich and loved bc someone just "gives" them money, i.e. if you want to get ahead in life, you need a miracle

There are SO MANY destructive messages under "fun" and there is NEVER showing ordinary ppl being/getting smart and working together to accomplish things

and also did you know about hidden images in all their movies, you should watch videos, e.g. about Zootopia

I did not miss that. I saw how the powerful father killed the business of his father. I also saw that the bully ASKED him to die already. I think that makes his suicide even more stupid. His dad needed him.

I read your review before I watched this drama, and I started watching bc the review said that the violence was kept at a minimum and the "teacher police" does not use much violence. That was 100% incorrect.

THIS DRAMA HAS A LOT OF VIOLENCE, by students AND by this "teacher police". He fights with students and beats them up. Not so bloody beating but still beating

well this drama shows it as it is - the OTHER kids participate!!!!!! THE OTHER KIDS DO WHAT THE BULLY SAYS... or stay silent or LAUGH fu.king idiots, and teachers too. As simple as that. THE PUBLIC IS **** S T U P I D *****

ok so who is gonna provide this service for real teachers? In the USA, the school DOES look kinda Weak Hearo or StudyGroup, and ... the parents are a huge part of the problem, as they either absent totally, absent but show up to bully the teachers, OR nasty hellicopter parents, both parents and kids wanting good grades, good jobs, social prestige, scholarships, awards, etc with no effort.

So - who is gonna produce this service for real teachers?

I changed my mind after ep 49 when SR got into staliking, then lying to G, and then bullying EA
I crossed SR off my list. She is tooooo far gone over the cliff.
MH is equally dumb to keep chasing her. MH should just leave her be and go date some fun lady. Then she is gonna come crawling back. SR takes MH for granted too much
Also, it is good that G tells her off. in no uncertain language but then she bullies EA

all actors in this drama, except JH actor, are very skilled experienced actors. Only HY role is allowed to go far, Everyone else is kept on a deep freeze totally stuck in their status quo, like pieces of furniture, no changes in their character, no character growth
