She knew the kid was right behind the car, and she totally obliviously and INTENTIONALLY suddenly stopped the car. so he jammed in, if I remember correctly. I am not sure how that will be discovered after so many years though... and Dad is dead.. at this point only JN's mother is the only witness?

Unrelated fashion notes. I am in Europe now and noticed a huge change in swimsuit fashion. It used to be that men wore Speedo tights and women something similar. Now men wear shorts and women wear tongas.
Also, European men can be super ... loud and obvious about commenting on various bodies around them. Uncensored. And... pretty accurate lmao

Other great weekenders are of course Once Again, My Father is Strange, and even Five Enough, All About My Mother, and the start of the recent Iron Family and Recipe for Love. Also, 24 ep Fermentation Family (or Kim Chi Family)

wow this is the old trope - a cold man and a kind woman who melts his heart - BUT this particular drama is different and refreshing.

He is not poker faced all the time, he is lively;
and she talks back and at him and keeps putting him into his place.
FOR THE FIRST HALF. Then the old sexist trope kicks in and he is overly controlling and possessive and pushy, and she is overly chaste, naive, and stupid damsel in distress. Unfortunately - the script writer did not know how to keep creating fresh script.

So it always becomes an elementary school girl with a sugar daddy. And she keeps avoiding s.x and he pushes for it. AND SHE KEEPS LYING. And she is insecure and ignorant - a CEO's job is not 9-5 and he is a public figure. She is too stupid to even try to understand. AND he doesnt explain. That is awfully immature
I think it is ok for like 1-2 episodes, but when it drags for sooo many episodes, it becomes super stale and stupid

It would be more productive to show a mature relationship between two adults. Without skinship and nc. But with deep talks, sharing, intimacy that is not deeply physical, but hinting at. It would be sexier and more realistic.

Bc ... we had like at least 5 episodes of them dating but never sharing their past, their concerns, dreams, ... their plans for future... their likes and dislikes... So that is SHALLOW

ML actor is really fun; and his poker face disappeared very fast - and even when he was poker faced in the beginning of the drama, he was not lmao How come there arent more actors like that.... I saw him / heard of him for the first time in current Love on the Menu weekender, and I was impressed, so I started watching his older dramas. ML actor is a gem.

This drama has a fantastic and realistic FL script
and a super lovely, expressive, fantastic FL actress. How come there arent more actresses like that. I have never seen her anywhere else. FL actress is a gem.

I cannot think of exact copy of this drama - bc his one and Mad Concrete Dreams have a super high snowball effect where one mistake leads to 10 more .... it is high exponential growth... and all done in a rather serious yet comedic way...

The most equivalent is Swedish Movie/comedy from 2023, The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared

Dream Life of Mr. Kim :) it is not a comedy though ... he keeps snowballing his mistakes :)

My Wife is a gangster 3 is kinda hilarious but it is not super high snowball

and perhaps Agent Kim Reactivated

and perhaps THe Kidnapping Day - it kinda goes wrong but snowball might not be too high

Perhaps Low Life - that one is filmed in a masterful way but is overall trash, no real messages

There is an older version of "grand theft" "The Thieves" - But I am not sure if it snowballs fast enough

I love snowball effect in Agent Jun 1 and 2 :) those are fun

and Tempest might be enough snowballing fun.

The youngest couple is weird bc the young lady behaves like it is year 1800 or like she is in elementary school and some boy pulled her for the pigtails. She is WEIRD.

SR's brother looks AMAZING in that short black simple open "jacket" with the pure white shirt that shows under the jacket on the bottom and also in the front, and baggy black pants. AMAZING! he has pitch black hair and that outfit (and some other black-white outfits) look absolutely stunning on him.
Also those cuts look very clean and very Asian, so they blend tradition and modern. Amazingly effective, simple, comfortable. elegant outfit. STUNNING and practical

Also, Grandpa looks amazing in that traditional shirt in very pale pink. It is so cute.
