I finally caught up with this drama, so...

OMG, KBS seems determined to produce better and better weekenders! I am so glad!
This drama started well... very makjangy... but has quickly progressed into a very decent drama. FL is still quite stupid and backwards... the dad still lives in her house!!!!!! we all said we are dropping if she brings him... ? Bc of that I waited to accumulate enough episodes to see if the drama will become a trashy soap or NOT. Luckily the drama panned out into a very decent drama.

FL is unfortunately still a rather backwards loser character... luckily less than before... and the actress is ok, nothing special in terms of acting skillZ and her role too is too flat, too one-dimensional ... as is typical. All KBS weekend dramas FLs are very stupid and flat.
ML and the kid are really fun. The kiddo is amazing :) The other characters are interesting too, The gigolo guy, the younger siblings and the Fox.... they are all very complex characters, very good scripts!!!! and the actors are very good actors. The Fox is very interesting!!!!! She is smart and immediately figures things out and is usually correct - but rude :) Well the gigolo is interesting too but is a lot less mature or smart... and ModelTwin is a rather complex character too... we will see more of him when his bio mom shows up when he starts making money and fame :)
The bio-mom and her husband are such a nice family... on the surface lol Mom is a professional gold digger wow.... and such a CRUEL person... wow... $10K for the life of her daughter... Not even asking once about any of the kids... At least her husband is a nice person
and ML's friend is fun, and the one-sided crush chick is pathetically unreal.
The dad is ... clearly makjang but the actor makes it real. Ppl like that are out there in real life, for real...
Ah the side dish shop owner and her son are amazing too. I ship him with the Fox. He is THE ONLY suitable guy for the Fox. The roles are complex and the actors are great.

I really like the acting of ML actor, he is so expressive and really makes ML look like a real person...
The actor imo is clearly some kind of a ... player or businessman or something in real life... ? I dont know the person but he looks and acts as someone who is used wheeling and dealing and finds this plot a little ... childish :) and it comes out in his acting...
But he is a great actor, so expressive. I really enjoy watching him.

Overall, this drama is really promising, this could be the next classic! Let's keep our fingers crossed. Recipe for Love started well and then was ruined by being stuck for most episodes in the SAME stupidly boring issue, instead of spending episodes to show HOW it was resolved. Well ok you can say the issue was so deep that it took them so long to resolve it... But no, so many episodes were wasted on NOT resolving it at all... Ok whatever - the drama did not use its time well and spent too much time on the issue instead of resolving it and moving on. It seemed like the writer just ran out of ideas. Everything got MAGICALLY resolved in the last episode or two... wich is a very lazy script copout. It just did not feel real at all.

So I hope this drama KEEPS THE PACE until the end. It is going well for now! Fighting!

I love MLsFriend actor, I saw him in My Father is Strange where I did not like his role :) but later I saw him in other dramas where he acted more fun characters, and also imo he acts better and better in time. At this point, I would say, with this drama, he has become one of my fav actors. His acting skills are very good and he makes this drama quite alive and dynamic

And as for the lady in the drama - ML's friend clearly likes her - but she is sooooo pathetic, it is cringe to watch her. I really hope she grows up soon enough, bc she is like nails on chalkboard on the screen, her behavior is so cringe.

He is weak, he is mommy daddy son, he has trouble cutting off something that surely doesnt work, and he is all over JN, basically two-timing.

DoDo is a nasty person and she will be ruining their lives for most of the drama, once he does dump her. That is why she is a main lead. She will NOT disappear...

And I agree with you, if he doesnt dump DoDo soon, he will prove to be a rotten spoiled weak person and it will take him a LOT OF EFFORT to dig himself out of that hole.

I still think he is genuinely kind and honest person, bc he VOLUNTEERED to solve JN's "bullying" issue and he did not let go until it was resolved and clear.
Keeping DoDo after all that is a sign of a major immaturity and weakness.

That mama daddy boy has A LONG WAY to grow up. Both his parents are morons. His mom is a materialistic, selfish, cruel and horrible person - a watered down version of DoDo - to be precise, ML'S MOM IS EXACTLY LIKE DODO BUT KEPT IN CHECK BY ML'S DAD.... , and his dad is VOLUNTARILY MARRIED TO THAT WOMAN although she says/does annoying things and makes him upset every 2 minutes, he always has to get up and leave when she starts bsing - and yet he has been married all his life to THAT.

So it is quite to be expected that his son is the same and that the dad is NOT doing anything to stop his son from marrying an anaconda

So ... please have some understanding of where ML is coming from
I root that he overcomes his toxic upbringing and his weakness and character flaws bc I really think he is a good guy who pursues the Truth

I am still waiting for him bc the drama just started. He already did a lot - he started as a blind pawn of DoDo and has already questioned it, did investigative work, figured it out, and started wavering. It is only ep ... 20? or what I forgot.

So if he made this much progress in this few episodes, I think he has potential so I did not write him off yet

He also cannot start with JN yet bc JN and her mom just became homeless...

So .. it is going to take a few episodes for him to dump DoDo - and the closer they get and the more questions he asks, the nastier she will be, showing her true colors, so the easier it will be for him to get rid of her ...

and then... starting with JN will require JN to clear her life a bit first...

And then .... dumped DoDo is going to revenge and cause chaos, most likely with the help of ML's mom... so that will take many episodes too.

This is 120 ep drama... so give them time :)

SO GIVE HIM A LITTLE TIME TO GROW UP - if he will!!!! In real life, boys like that stay man child until the end. Since this one is the ML in a drama, he is supposed to be that one in a million who escapes that standard "just go along" rote fate. WHEN he will do that... ???? if the drama is a well paced, by the middle for sure, he will be mature enough and dating FL. And then the other half of the drama will be him fighting to protect and advance his newlyfound grownup life, e.g fighting DoDO from ruining his company and his family.

If the drama is bad, then he might be the same until the very very end.

So I will give him a chance for a few more episodes

there is some attempt for romance by SML with FL, but it was always one-sided crush until the VERY end. when she suddenly out of blue started worrying about him - after he dumped her lol She used and abused him, took him for granted, married him so that he could be her henchman.... mistreated him... then he dumped her and she suddenly got worried lmao AND THAT was supposed to be her falling in love with him...

SO THERE IS NO FLIRTING, NOTHING ROMANTIC AT ALL, NOT EVEN LOOKING OR SMILING OR BEING FLUSTERED - NOTHING - ZERO SIGNS OF ANY ROMANTIC FEELINGS FROM THE LADY
until the end of last ep where she says she has feelings for him - BUT HER FACE IS THE SAME AS IN THE REST OF THE DRAMA - and then the very last minute of the last episode when they kiss.

It is totally completely botched romance. I am not sure if it is FL actress lack of skill or the script was so cheap
