kdramas can be produced locally and then shown on Netflix . There is also a del with I think ... Sinclair TV in the usa to show kdramas on ther channels.
The big issue really is - who is the drama for. Too many are getting totally adjusted to fit western tastes. Starting from tons of white powder on actors' faces and plastic surgery to produce big round eyes instead of slanted eyes.
So read the drama description for who the original company is. This drama is by jTBC

Since they stepped in, everything is Season 2 or 3... and the creativity is gone... and the HEALING NATURE of kdramas, which are rare pieces of art that have character growth, self reflection, and cooperation between ordinary ppl to solve their problems and move on. Kdramas are absolutely the gems in true storytelling, they have compassion, warmth, a sense of lightness and compassionate humor while discussing the heavy topics, and always, there is that feel THERE IS THE END AT THE LIGHT OF THE TUNNEL AND WE ARE GOING THERE. STEP BY STEP.

Anyways, Hwood tastes are taking over kdramas bc ppl want to appease the West and grab the $$$$$ but in that, S Koreans will be devoured and lose their culture, their values, AND money :) they will become a colonized place, a franchise owned by someone else from the outside. So... every Hwood trained user who wants to see all episodes all at once - and thus kill audience engagement and advertising opportunities and thus kdrama money; who wants to see questionable characters staying same or getting worse, who wants to see greedy ppl taking over everything, etc etc lots of skinship, ACTION, violence, bloody revenges, super skinny perfect-face plastic surgery actors. etc... well .... That's all killing real kdramas.
China's goal is to become #1 in AI globally, so ... their short film industry will be replaced by AI, all the plasticized actors will be replaced by AI, ....
so what is left is real, live, good actors acting in meaningful stories. IF there are enough ppl with brains at that point.

We are on ep 8 so there is NO WAY that anyone could have rated eps 9-12, those episodes did not air yet. The same happened in We are All Trying Here and other kdramas. Someone is targeting kdramas and trying to kill them.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO ALERT MDL TO IMPROVE THEIR SOFTWARE - just dont allow rating episodes which did not air yet. it is tricky bc of holidays, bball games, etc esp dailiies suffer from changing schedule, but 8-16 episodes dramas usually stay on schedule. So MDL should fix this loophole in their sofware.

I wouldnt bother. Le;s call 100 Memories "the trial run" :) He was poker face Jae Pil there, so bland and boring script. Here, he ACTS so well, this role is great for him. Watch THIS drama carefully, he really nailed it.

oh got it. So we dont know what Yeonwi Chamber is for - exiles? 'hospital stay"? getting away on a hunting trip? Just getting away.. ? someone's old house... ? a place to take secret lovers to... / I am sure we will find out.

Wow ep 5 and ep 6 are the best so far, the plot is deeper and very meaningful and realistic psychological drama/ office drama, and the acting is superb.
ML is such a great green flag.
FL is ... well... his boss, ex of the CEO , and a traumatized child - so she is a tough nut to crack... but ... we all think - she will open her horizons :) she is already starting.
This was a rowdy majkang rom-com in earlier episodes, now it is .. a very deep love / family / work story.

Ok how about this - he is not pathetic. He is a psycho in disguise - doing everything for the sake of his father is a very passive-agressive psycho !!! - so when do you think his obedient self will just EXPLODE?

SFL is a little too slimey... not trustworthy.... not direct and honest... too moody, unpredictable, wishy-washy, too unknown, too many problems in her life.... so she is not as interesting as FL, who is direct and honest and fair and strong.... Also, the secretary is his employee and too risky - " CEO's affair with the secretary" anyone...?

I really like this FL who is active, capable, common sense, independent - not some meek weak stupid naive dumb wall flower damsel in distress but someone who actively survived poisoning, murder, assassinations, slavery, etc. and then 21st century cars, money, etc - got the boarding house all squared away, found herself a job, etc... She always makes the best possible of the circumstances she finds herself in.
And the cherry on the top - so far we never saw her acting as a villain...
What has she done to create that gossip ... ?

I saw him as ML in kdrama 100 Memories. He was the polite poker face slimey Jae Pil .... dont get me started on that... Read some reviews or comments... Good luck. Jae Pil was essentially stringing two women, one for fun and one to act as his personal assistant, so to me My Royal Nemesis confirms what Jae Pil really is is under his polite mask - an arrogant snotty entitled jerk - which I knew he was and it was frustrating 100 Memories never scratched the surface of his character- and so I finallu saw the real Jae Pil and finally i feel like i completed 100 Memories drama :)
I also saw him in a decent small role as a kind doctor in masterpiece kdrama Dream Life of Mr. Kim.

How do you know ML was in exile house? Eng subs said he was in yeonghwi chamber - is that exile house?
I rewatched ep 2 scene with maids. FL was sold as a slave, jumped into river and ran away, and Court lady Kim got her into Yeonghwi as ... a servant.. ? a higher level slave... ??? .... what was she? I am sure I am supposed to know based on her "uniform" but i do not :)

Sometimes I complain about what someone said if I think it is taking away from the drama. But I dont want to shut them up. I want them to see another point of view and hopefully change their position.

I want people to post as much as they want bc it helps the drama to grow, and also discussion with many different points of view is a learning experience and is INTERESTING AND FUN.
The worst drama pages have no comments or all comments all the same. The most interesting drama pages have some super cool insightful discussions.

And yeah, if someone doesnt want to nicely discuss and resorts to personally insulting me / cussing me, I tell them to stop - so yeah I try to shut them up - and if they don't, I block them.

FL kept remembering the Joseaon royal man - but with a hidden face. Sometimes the hidden face is SML, sometimes it is ML. You can tell bc SML was the King and wears the robe with the BIG round gold in the front and back
JOSEON EDITIONS OF FL (runaway slave, royal servant, concubine, royal consort), ML (the masked man) AND SML (the King) WERE DEEPLY ENTANGLED - and the hot pink peonies hint at that.

When FL saw hot pink peonies in currentML's office next to the currentML...
She remembered hot pink peonies she planted in her Joseon garden ... and how King came to visit her and their conversation about peonies.

(1). First of all - WHAT ARE HOT PINK PEONIES DOING IN ML's LIFE, WHEN HIS STYLE IN FASHION, FURNITURE AND DECORUM IS "ONLY BLACK / DARK GRAY URBAN SIMPLE" ??
Those hot pink peonies are SCREAMING COLOR AND EXTRAVAGANT NATURAL EXUBERANCE in his almost empty, dark, very austere, very simple, sleek, modern urban style office.

To have those peonies there, in the austere work environment, indicates that ML has DEEP FEELINGS - over lifetimes - for whatever those hot pink peonies represent to him... It could be anything - including his love for JoseonFL.

Why did Joseon FL plant that exact hot pink color peonies back then? she told her maids she planted them bc they have big visible flowers
Did she like hot pink peonies and JoseaonML liked her, or vice versa, or they liked each other, or they together have hot pink peony memories, ..

(2). The peonies that FL saw in ML's office reminded FL of her peonies she planted in herJoseon garden - - AND THE KING CAME to VISIT HER IN THE PEONY GARDEN...
- The King praised the peonies...
- She joked and said that the peonies are more beautiful than the King..... (wow! that was gutsy..... she was basically telling the King off.... !!! and maybe indirectly saying she liked JoseonML.. ?)
- The King said that he can never have his way with her... (wow! he was seemingly meek but he was telling her she was crossing the line and not kissing his as# enough... )
- AND THEN he said he brought her a gift - a herbal tonic to restore her health bc she was deteriorating in health ... . (wow! that was either a doting, repeatedly rejected man trying to kiss her as@ - tough luck a King would do that... ! OR he politely told her that she was already "spent" and HE WAS ALREADY POISONING HER.)

That scene did not show any love between her and the King.

So that's why currentFL is very afraid of currentSML - he has that face - and that ... personalityvibe of a great "politician", liar, slimey calculated backstabber thief. SML IS A HARD CORE SOCIOPATH / PSYCHOPATH the perfect material for a King or a politician.
SML is unsuitable to be a CEO, Chairman, and/or a capitalist monster, bc those require some merit , some very solid business skillZ, and proven ability to DO things rather then to just politick around - and ML got those busoness skillZ. he should inherit the company.

CurrentML is a very much masked man and also a bitter spiteful man, and things were taken from him in this life too. CurrentML seems to be some Robin Hood and enjoys torturing the guilty.

1. SH said that HY stole the hairpin from her. SH does not lie lmao So for now, we can assume that SH told the truth. We do not know HOW and WHEN HY stole that hairpin. Seems like HY knew Chairman's son DS for years bc he funded the movies.

2. Earlier, we saw VERY POOR AND UNKNOWN HY WITH BABY JH GIVING HIM FOR ADOPTION bc she had no money, not even for baby formula and hungry JH was crying in hunger.
3. Lapdog is the dad of JH. Bc we saw his memory of him and unknown actress HY cozying up on a bed.
