Wish someone wrote a review so I did not have to suffer through this drama. I watched it because I have become a big Jerry Yan fan because of Loving, never Forgetting. He was also great in Down with Love. However, Starlit, was one big painful drama to watch. Basically watching a young, beautiful & vibrant girl, slowly die from MS. Also painful to watch are the love ones (friends, boyfriends, father, etc) who surround her with love & support but also suffer the agony of watching her body slowly deteriorate. Drama left me thorough depressed, wished I knew ahead of time and skipped it.

I had to check out this old Classic Favorite and I was not disappointed. This is my 2nd Jerry Yan drama, and he has got to be one of the sexiest guys in world. OMG, I mean if he falls in love with you, he will take care of you for life and give you 110%. He has that trade mark, sideways smirk/smile that gets me every time. Ella was funny in this drama, but I did not like her character that much. I felt that although she was suppose to portray a really dense & naive girl, she kind of irritated me a lot with her insensitivity, especially towards Jerry who was in love with her and her sister who was hurt by her actions however un-intentional. I actually was more interested in her sister's character, I really liked her. The storyline was really good, acting by supporting cast was terrific. If Ellen's character was not so annoying, I probably would have given it higher marks.

I only made it to the 4th episode and I really had to push myself o do it. I am also a Mike He fan and adored him in Sunny Happiness. The secondary character was played by another hot dude, Shawn Chen. So being the superficial gal, I was going to watch it for the "eye candy" alone. However, the drama was so bad, I could not even bring myself to watch anymore. The cast was really good, but the script and the acting by the female lead was so incredibly bad. The drama had a really slow, boring, gloomy feel to it. I'm usually not that picky either, but this drama was a train wreck.

This Taiwan version of the Korean Drama "You're Beutiful" is so much better. I could not even finish that version & eventually dropped it. It became so corny, I could not stomach it. The lead male was also an eye sore. The lead male in this version however, was hot. Even at times when he was not being Mr. Cool, he was endearing. Although storyline was basically the same, it was tweaked just enough so that you are not just watching the same old, same old. This version was fun, silly and very enjoyable to watch. I absolutely loved the opening OST!!!! I highly recommend this version to everyone who has already watched the Korean version as well as those like me who could not stomach the Korean version but give this one a shot. You won't regret it.

Although similar in some aspects of the storyline to Autumn's Concerto, each drama is different. Autumn blew me away, but Loving was also very good in it's own way. Absolutely loved Jerry Yan. This is my first drama by him, but judging from people's comments of his usual characters, he played the cold, rich businessman to a perfection. What woman watching this type of drama does not want to be the one to tame a cold ruthless rich alpha male into a loving partner who swears to take care of you the rest of your life?
I would have given this a higher mark if not for some of the pissed off moments I had watching a really naive to the point of being stupid female lead. It was really annoying seeing how many times she did the damsel in distress moments by physically falling down in front of her man. Aside from that, excellant drama, my first China drama, I look forward to seeing more dramas from there now.

My kid introduced me to Korean Dramas, and my life was never the same again. I could not get enough, not to mention nothing gets done in my house anymore, but I digress. I am another one of those swear by Korean Dramas until I drop. However, because of Arron Yan, I checked out Taiwanese Dramas, and boy I did not know what I was missing. I watched Autumn's Concerto after another Xtreme must see Drama, FATED TO LOVE YOU. When you watch a quality drama like Autumn's Concerto, I, as a U.S. tv viewer, wonder why do I bother watching any of the garbage they now have in the states. Autumn's Concerto, sent me into such a roller coaster ride of high and low emotions. The story is basically a fated pair of star crossed lovers from extreme wealth and poor backgrounds. Drama had typical tyrannical mother-in-law, self-sacrificing but very frustrating to watch main female lead and HOT, Alpha, Gorgeous male lead. Bonus is the cutest and sweetest little child actor, you will ever meet. He was absolutely adorable!!! Drama will put you through the ringer of lots of crying moments, but I promise you a happy ending. Nuff said, Just watch it, Highly Recommend.

I absolutely loved it. Great Cinderella/Ugly ducking turn Swan story. Never expected to cry so much though. Very well written. But overall it's a romantic comedy and so well done. I laughed so freaken hard, Grandma is a trip!!!. The secondary love interest is also very HOT. An oldie but goodie classic. Highly recommend!! I am going to watch the Korean version after this, but many compared it say that the Taiwanese version is better. i usually don't care about the OST much, but this drama could have had a better one.

I watch & love this romantic comedy not for it's realism, but because the couple especially Puff Guo is so freakin cute. Great Chemistry, like many fans of this drama, would love to see if Aaron & Puff become a real couple someday. They recently completely a music video "NO CUT" together, love it!
The drama is about a quirky, clutzy office girl with a heart of gold who changes a cold CEO of a consulting company into a warm loving man again. Its what I label as a "feel good" drama. Loved it so much, I'm watching it again. Aaron Yan is sooo damn hot! Ost is fantastic, I can't stop listening to "Unstoppable Sun" all day long.

I'm Lovin this drama soooo much!!! This is my first Taiwanese drama and it did not disappoint. The couple has such great chemistry, I have not seen such a compatible couple in a while. I'm now more into Korean dramas, but this one also kind reminds me of Korean drama's than HK dramas. The story is nothing unusal, rich guy disguises himself as a ordinary poor guy and tries and gets girl that way. But the drama is written in such a sweet way, I am enjoying it so much. I laugh, I cry, and I sigh.......so romantic, Aarson such a hot dude, I highly recommend this drama. I will look forward to seeing more dramas by Aaron Yan and Tia Lee.

***Addn'l comments:

I wrote the above review while only half way thru the drama, something which i probably do again. I still liked this drama very much and look forward to more dramas by both main actors/actress and contrary to most of the bad reviews I understood why the 2nd half of the drama was written this way. It was not boring nor did it drag for me. Having said that I did understood everyone's frustration with how the main characters reacts while being manipulated and abused by family members. They became like doormats especially the female character. It became really hard to believe someone can accept some of the stuff being dished out to her and she not only does nothing, but also says "it's ok". Being a hot headed person myself, it was very frustrating to watch to the point where I wanted to either throw something at the screen or just scream at her. Ending however was to my satisfaction, I'm a big believer in Karma and the belief of "be careful of what you wish for", lol. Final ending sceen was VERY CUTE! all in all, I still liked the drama and would watch again.

It was a fustrating drama to watch to say the least. So obvious who she should be with (I mean like who would not like to be with Hot Babe, Eric Moon?????), , but as you watch the drama unfold, you start to understand why the characters are the way they are. Then you also realize, many times there are no absolute rights or wrongs in how people behave. I think that's basically the whole premise of the drama. I thought the wrting was really good, storyline therefore also very good. Great secondary character storyline as well. I loved Eric Moon, so Hot and matured so much since Super Rookie. Would have given a higher score if main characters spent more time with each other in the latter years.

I am also a big RAIN fan and I almost did not watch this drama because it was so old. Boy would I have missed out. The acting and story line so much better than Full House, however get ready for some crying and heart ache. It is not a light romantic comedy like Full House, much more tragedy. Though not as dark and tragic as A Love To Kill. Basic story line is about the love of 2 soul mates who is tested time and time again by fate, who can be oh so cruel. In fact, I think this drama should have been appropriately titled SOUL MATES.

Clearly I watched this drama just for RAIN. I struggled to finsih it just so that I can see more of his heart melting smiles. I hated watching the main actress, I don't know why Rain stayed with her. She really did not deserve him. the story line was awful. Rain's action scenes however, was phenominal. If I were to re-watch anything, it would be all of Rain's action scenes where he did most of them himself. The best one was the opening scene with him and guns a blazing. He would have made a great Asian James Bond for sure!

I'm Chinese, so I can say that most modern Hong Kong dramas are very realistic. This drama really got me hooked from start to finish. I didn't like the filming in the beginning of the drama, because the lighting was so dark, but the story line about the importance of Family was so heart warming, it was wonderful. The main story line, however , about the greed of humans even from your closest family members. really hit a sore spot in me. I actually know relatives like this, who would sell their own "grandma" practically for money and or power. I would have given this drama a 9 or 10 if it had more romance. Ruco Chan and Priscilla Wong are 2 of my most favorite actors.

I have become a huge fan of Rain, to be honest, although I'm not crazy about the ending, I felt that this is Rain's best work a far as acting. He often plays quirky playful characters along with some toughness. But in this dark & tragic romance, Rain did some really emotional acting. I have to admit, I really could not get into the drama especially in the beginning. Drama's like this one often go forward & back with the timelines. Show a sceen, then go back into the past to explain it. I hate this and I'm sure a lot of other people do as well. It is just confusing and annoying. But watching it just for RAIN is so well worth the effort. His smile is just heart melting and lights up the room.

PROS: Watching Rain who is even hotter than when he was in FULL HOUSE. Watching Flower Boy: Kim Myung Soo. Really cute guy and was actually a better match as the boyfriend for Crystal. I would love to see more damas with him in it. Adorable Dog: Ty Bong - I love seeing pets in movies & dramas.

Cons: Bad Story, Bad match between Crystal & Rain. The age difference made the chemistry bad. It is also creepy whenever Rain see's the older sister in the beginning when it is actually the younger sister present. As a person from the U.S., I also felt that the taboo of not being able to date the younger sister because he had a relationship with the older sister was frustrating to watch.

The romance got better towards the latter part of the show, but the ending was also fustrating to watch. I recently disovered that most Korean dramas seem to have this ending where usually the female lead disappears for a while and the guy is helpless to find her. Most of the time it works to make the ending more dramatic and the reunion sweeter, but not this time. Just pissed me off.

Overall, loved Rain, Crystal was just ok, she was better in HEIRS, disappointed not much music in a drama about the music industry. Feel Good Value in the End: 7 out of 10. Rewatch value: 7
