Right, so for me, this show is like crack, especially since I feel like everything I have been picking up has…
Absolutely more politics and military strategy. At least in the first half of the show. Not to scare anyone, there IS romance, and it IS a focus of the show, but a slow slow burn.
All the actors are really good, but I am on episode 11 and already sick of the dynamic between the leads. They…
i completely understand. I was feeling that way too. luckily there is a new step in their relationship with some honest confessing in the last couple eps. I am on ep 19.
its interesting to see all these comments about loving this movie and yet the overall score is so low. i watched it because NGM was in it. He did a great job as a psycho rapist. I can see why he has played multiple bad guys since this...he's damned good at it. I didn't like the film overall because there were so many scenes where someone is being chased in the dark and I couldn't tell who it was, or was wearing a hat, or it was raining. The ending may explain why....perhaps it was by design. It just annoyed me so much during the flow of the movie that it didn't matter if it was by design. its was a decent psychological story that had more potential IMO.
After watching Flame's Daughter and MARS (concurrently), I needed one more Vic Chou fix. Based on recommendations and some previews, I decided on Black and White. A cops and robbers show. One cheeky guy (Vic Chou) and one more straightlaced (Mark Chao). Was a good choice. I had to warm up to Vic's character, which didn't take to long, as quirky as he played it. Mark was super throughout. Together, it was a great bromance with dips into romance here and there. This is not a rom-com or a romance, but an action-crime drama. I enjoyed it. I watched it at a leisurely pace, but ultimately I did binge it. I think some weaknesses in the plot may have been less pronounced if I were watching as airing. Regardless, i would recommend if you are in that mode and you get the more-than-extra bonus with Mark Chao. Thanks be to MadiHawkins (see her post below) who provided me the subs and HD youtube links so I didnt have to suffer watching in low res.
Thank you! And same here. I had to rewatch the first episode a few times because I A) wasn't sure I was watching…
One thing i found that realllly helped, was when watching on the subbers blogsite, she is using Daily Motion and there is a control there to slow down the speed of the show to 75%. It solved my issue from having to do a lot of rewinds on eps that had a lot of military/political stuff in it especially.
Nice article. I am watching! I was hooked right away but I had to do a lot of pause and rewind to make sure i understood the political stuff going on early on since it is the anchor of the show. Its filmed in a different way, so it feels old fashioned. Not sure how to describe the filter they are using. Elvis Han looks stunning in this. I wasn't familiar with him before so that was a surprise gift.
Where is she? I know she had a baby and got married in 2015, but all i could find was that she was taking time off for her health from 2012-2015. I guess with Vic's demanding schedule/comback/multiple projects timing isn't right for her to return?
I really liked the lead guy Fukushi Sota..I specifically watched to learn about his works. He is sure handsome…
I was disappointed by the ending at bit. While it was a happy ending, it could have ended in something more than holding hands at the airport....maybe an excited hug or a kiss....It just looked like he was obligated to see her and grab hands with her. We know better, but its how it felt.

p.s. As of today, there's 19 eps (links) avaialbe via the subber's blog: https://productiveprocrastinationsite.wordpress.com/category/color-of-night/
I heard its on Viki now, maybe they will sub faster, who knows!
I see it says Coming Soon on viki, so there will be another source but they will be late in the game....
