I agree with yoorin21, there are a LOT of dramas where the male leads aren't jerks at all.

Don't forget about Reply 1997 and Healer. Yoon Jae may have been a bit reserved, but he was very respectful and kind toward Shi Won and his friends. Ji Chang Wook is just a delight in Healer as well.

In anime, the tsunderes are usually female. In dramas, they're usually male. Weird, right?

Believe me, most Kdramas are not like that. I love Kdramas, and I too was disturbed by the blurred line of consent in Secret Garden and the horrific way he treated her. That drama is the worst case of jerkiness/abusiveness I have ever seen in a kdrama.
Try watching Reply 1997 or Healer. The male leads in that are both very respectful to the female leads/everyone else.
It's too bad you had to watch Secret Garden first...it really isn't the best example...AT ALL.

Kang Woo from Master's Sun (if only because I'm a huge Seo In Guk fan). I found his character so sweet and his fear of ghosts always got me laughing.
For Jdramas, Nakatsu in Hana Kimi. Oh. My. God. This guy is a heartbreaker.

Question: why are Eun Dae Gu and Oh Soo Sun (The characters from You're All Surrounded) the cover picture for this article when they weren't even IN the article?

My drama watching update: it's 7:00am. I've been watching this drama for approximately 11 hours straight. I'm delirious, but feeling all the feels and squealing all the squeals.
What will I do with my life when I finish this drama?!

Glad to know I'm not. I mean, her character is just so sweet and loveable! When she starts crying I just yell "NOOOOOOOOO!" at my ipad haha

I actually watched I Remember You before I watched this and Jang Na Ra is adorable and spunky in that! I definitely recommend you watch it.

Omg I just finished episode 2... Seeing Jang Na Ra cry absolutely BREAKS. MY. HEART.
Like, her character is so sweet and seeing her get hurt... NOOOOOO.
Am I the only one who finds Jang Na Ra sobbing heartbreaking?! ;_;
