Korean NOIR once again like always to many men.....Now they went even further by ABSOLUTELY 0 women WTF.
Only Netflix smart enough to make more female centric crime kdramas like Celebrity and Mask Girl. K-Noir mostly unwatchable garbage because korean PDs still hate strong women in crime genre, and still stereotype it as only for men ....
about crime and seoul gangs i dont think you are going to find any women there unless they play sex workers.
Way to degrade women down inte only being love interests!!!
There's PLENTY of roles for women in crime genre, outside of merely being love interests; how about investigative reporter, detective, P.I., , profiler, crime technician, actress going undercover, spy, High-stakes Performance coach who's helped the crimesolvers to be cold and calculating under pressure, any mentor type really, Doctor who saves the lives of the crime solvers every time their lives are in danger, High-tech innovator who invents gadgets to help fight crime, Artitect of building the good guys need to infiltrate so is their consultant, martial arts instructor, private teacher of rich powerful crime families who knows alot about the crime lords that way and sneaks the info to the detectives, rich woman who helps fund the people fighting crime, hacker, female vigilante, clever outsider of ANY job who gets caught in the middle so uses her smarts to help stop crime/investiage the bad guys, or even a female criminal...
It's people like you with no imagination nor open mind who have no problem with an all-male cast. 🤦🏻♀️
One of my fave actors and among the oppas who first got me into kdrama but.....will have to SKIP this one. All male cast.....enough said. 🥱 Writer & Casting PD are incels I guess...
The genre not my style anyway. But happy for SJS, maybe more international fame though Netflix now?
Haven't liked a project of his in a long time. Back to rewatching his old dramas it is then....
This paragraph is insane: "Just before the release of the K-drama, the actor was embroiled in a controversy after being caught disposing of cigarette butts on the street without permission, for which he had to pay a fine.
In response, Choi Hyun Wook conveyed his remorse through a handwritten letter, stating, "First, I would like to extend my apologies to the fans for causing disappointment. Despite the need to be responsible at all times, I have disappointed many people with my reckless actions...."
Only in Korea does one need to make pr apology statement for such silly small nonsense. 💀
Love Wi Ha Joon. But not sure about the female lead. Never watch her dramas. Is this a noona romance? She looks…
Don't worry she's good. Watched her in Bubblegum with Lee Dong Wook. From there can tell she's good at acting out a romance mor lowkey and naturally and not cheesy like some k actors. 😅 So this should be a good pairing with good chemistry and realism.
She also has the same type of charm as Wi Ha Joon (both give natural, calm, analytical introvert vibes) that will make them both likable on the screen.
But I don't think we'll have to worry too much about them, this seems more focused on FL and her patients.
Even better, the usual lack of women in the genre misogyny turned up, by having ZERO WOMEN CAST! YAY!

Or perhaps the actors pulled out because production sucks, so they had to settle for lesser actors? 🤔🤔 😅😅
