I love TSJ for XY. He is what she needs. She has abandonment issues and trust issues. She closes her heart off to people. There's a hard shell around her heart because of her traumatizing childhood. TSJ understands this very well, which is why I think he become her "okay" man. People may think he is "boring" but he's made XY blush and laugh before too. He understands her and doesn't push her to open up. Just like in the chess game with CX, he lets her make the moves and stays by her side to support her, give her advice if she asks and doesn't mind if she doesn't take his advice. He doesn't care about winning or losing because he just wants XY to be happy doing what she wants. XY is afraid of being alone and abandoned again so puts up a strong front but she just wants to be like a normal girl. She was such a happy child before so much happened to her.
So even though XL, may seem more exciting and cool, seeing so many comments about how exciting XL is and how boring TSJ is, I can't help but think is he what she needs or is it what the audience wants for themselves. He is someone that can understand her as well because they are similar people, soulmates or kindred spirits, perhaps he can give her that "exciting" kind of life but I don't think XY is there yet for that. She still hasn't healed from her traumas. I kind of think of him as that male bff that you make a 10 year pact with where if both aren't married by 30 then you'll marry each other like in the movies.
When I was younger I'd love guys like XL, but as I got older, I know I would love me a TSJ.

In the trailer, cwd’s body was by a river so I think the mudslide probably pushed his body into the river and it drifted somewhere and he was saved by someone. Maybe that wandering dr person that saved wjg before 🤔 also the stills of mx hugging CWD with a mask on gives me hope that he didn’t die 🥲 there’s two episodes left so I really hope they reveal him in 36 to help MX’s plan and not like the end of 37 🤯 because idk if I could handle watching just bfy/wjg and their nonsense.
