I need bfy to stay away from MX or she’ll end up messing up her plans. I don’t even care about bfy and wjg anymore. Skipped their scenes really. I just want to see what MX will do next and if her plan will really work.If CWD will come back 😭 usually I don’t like flashbacks but I do like MX thinking back at her time with CWD but at the same time, we only have 2 episodes left. I won’t believe he’s dead until the end 🥲

I can’t wait for MX to get revenge and clear CWD’s name. So tired of everyone calling him a traitor/rebel, especially FY and WJG, they’re perfect for each other, hope they don’t bother MX and her new life too. Everyone pushed CWD to his death 😭 I’ll never forgive them!

I can’t tell if this writer hates CWD or loves him 🥲 he’s the most loyal and patriotic one yet the whole drama was called a rebel/traitor by everyone and then the poisoning/arrow in the back/betrayed by his men/lost the war/even the way he protected MX in the end, it wasn’t enough the boulder then the tree/fire all on top of him 😭

Actually from the start it’s CWD against the bad people of the court which is the Marquis, Wu Lang the prime minister, and Zhong Yuqi (leader of the longxian army, Wan works under him and is being used as a pawn) in the first episode CWD was able to steal the letters as proof and he was going to show the emperor but they schemed together and told everyone that he wanted to rebel. They took the emperor away so he couldn’t meet with him.
I think he mentioned that he has spies in the longxian army which is how he had the tally to use at the school. Also used those spies to fake the letter from WJG for FY to not have to be married to the Wu guy.
He needed the iron mine to make weapons to go against the bad guys. The bad guys also wanted the mine to use for themselves as well for treason purposes I believe. If you remember he met with provincial governors that wanted him to marry FY, he needs them to help fund the iron mine project but they’re afraid he will betray them so that’s why they wanted him to marry WJG’s wife, to ensure that he would not work together with the court people.
I don't remember if Long Xian army is part of the bad guys or just against CWD because they think he is a traitor but either way they also see him as an enemy.
Also CWD had a chance to kill the Marquis at the school but FY wanted to stop him (because she's being her FY self) so MX intervened and stopped him as we all know.

Even from her daydreams from episodes ago that she started caring about him as well. I see her daydreams similar to how sometimes we make hypothetical scenarios like what if this and that were to happen, in a way it’s like preparing for the worse case scenarios so I guess it’s her way of visualizing it.

I do think the cape scene was a bit too close as well since they don’t really come in close contact with each other usually.
I think because MX had just learned about the wedding vs CWD getting sick, between the two events she chose to stay by his side anxiously and worrying for him instead of focusing on wjg like she usually does. So it was kind of like she’s choosing him first this time. That’s how I understood it at least.

Yes I do! I think after making the connection/realization I find the drama more interesting. It’s definitely not the common cdrama format that most of us are used to.

I’m sure if she was more gentle CWD he’d be more gentle with her as well. But because he knows her so well he has to be on alert with her or she’ll have him wrapped around her fingers lol like when she was trying to get him to have the maids sew the socks for her but he caught himself before saying it lol instead he said for her to lead the maids to sew 😂

I think next episode should be when she realizes her feelings since CWD is poisoned. Or at least that’s what I hope.

Finally got to watch the lasted episode with subs, I’m glad we’re getting to know more about CWD. But now I’m worried about what will happen to him. He has way too many enemies including WJG and WY and not enough man power and he’s too honest to collude with the bad guys. 😞 I know of the book ending but I’m hoping since they made good changes to his character that they’ll make an equally good ending for him as well 😔

I wish he had powerful allies. It would be too sad if he really dies because he is a loyal and patriotic general that care for the people and yet has been branded as a rebel/traitor by everyone.

I know what you mean! The slurping and snoring we don’t find out til it’s too late 😂 cwd and mx are alike in that he’s not your typical gentleman and she’s not a prim and proper lady lol
