I agree, it was nice to notice their attraction but because how the fl was written (she really doesn't want anything but revenge and has little time left) this was not a romance even if the ml is head over heals at least halfway if not earlier. I posted a link to another novel today that promises a bit different outcome with both leads sitting on the edge of the knife where one side is definitely a comfort of a person who is a mirror image of their psyche and the other previous life knowledge that they killed each other

I am reading After rebirth, I married my archenemy on mydramanovel and there is a scene where ml paints a portrait of the woman who poisoned him to death in the previous life. a visitor recognizes the person in the portrait as his own fiancee and with terror asks who is the painting of to which ml responds "my wife". and it all culinates in ml collapsing in an epilepsy -like manner... it's in ch 30 and up until now I had different figures and faces swimming in my head when reading about the ml, Lu Hua Ting, but after this chapter, I definitely imagine Liu Run Ming as the lead character. It would be so good to see him in this!!!!💕

ep 1 has plagiarized scene from Blossom (flying with glass shards reflecting moments from their life) and then ep 2 is pretty much modern version of A Girl Inside Me and the concept of seeing a ghost reminds me of a VD The third year after she died my wife came to me as a ghost. Let's hope the chemistry will compensate for these things

So I am thinking that she really should have been dead in this season and the scene of putting arms around the emperor's neck as he takes her away from her ancestral home away - pretty much what her legal husband was denied !-just a figment of emperor's imagination. The end. And in s2 she watches from the cloud that last scene from s1 where we learn that the emperor goes mad trying to get her away from the ancestral home and coffin and ends up deposed where the cute widowed prince is then enthroned, but she leaves that world behind and
Ta-da! is put in an alternative history line where she get to see different outcomes based on her experience with own naivety toward the world she was put into by the old fishing dude. And then she can experience different life, but the screenwriter should shuffle things around and make the former husband the emperor (maybe not at all interested in her), and the former emperor the widowed prince (who really grieves his ex and unborn child), and the former widowed prince her spouse who.... I still have not figured it out if he should be really supportive and loving like in s1 or, let's say gay. But the set up of the drama in s2 really should be a moving target so she cannot tell who is who and have the foresight. Now THAT would be interesting!
