🤣 I actually had a "similar" idea for a book series of different genres and time periods where FL falls in…
cool! I knew you were kindred spirit! From my standpoint our souls "leak" parts of previous experiences (memories of past lives) only when they are closer to fulfilling their run on human existence, that is when they learnt what they wanted to learn, gained what they wanted and are planning on forever departure from this world. I have never met people like that in my life (only heard from others encountering them) but even before I discovered about my own soul and its connection to the previous lives (via relationships in this one), I had a sense of deja vu and knowing beyond words (I just knew things about places and times impossible for me to visit during this lifetime). After reading The Law of One the whole "circle of souls" and "soul agreements" made sense and opened the door to awareness of what experiences I had already been through as well as conscious choices my souls made in the past and how they affect ME in THIS life.
I once wrote a script for a story and always wanted a director or producer to make a few seasons showing the same soul travelling through different reincarnations across the human world and centuries of experience. This drama (a lovely romance with SE) could be one of the seasons in the journey of 0598. I just wished the learning of that reincarnation was more pronounced aside from the usual "love is the most important feeling for humans"
This is surprisingly well-made short drama - good script (story and dialogue), interesting characters and tension tropes, even with the "time travel" nonsense this couple is actually going through complex situations with actual imperfections, confusion and great chemistry. Music is lovely, cinematography quite fitting - with the exception of slanted/angle shots and frequent use of blurring filter I am enjoying it at 7.75/10 level on ep 20. I had seen the lead actors before and they work really well together even if the focus is more on the mood rather than acting and the show of emotional expressions.
while the show is rather poorly made I am looking now for the ending credit music that is so FREAKING AWESOME! If you figured out who plays/sing and/or have a link to the OST - please post!
One small snag of the story is that they use Western fantasy elements which come off as Lord of The Ring's knock-off,…
ikr? I just finished Prisoner of Beauty and they had COMPLETELY changed the characters in the drama so I am wondering why some novels or manhua could be successfully translated onto screen while others get butchered one way or the other. Some dramas are actually better when adapted to the visual art and others are just as bad or even worse than the book.
I am so disappointed. I was so ready for s2 and the ep 2 just blew it up with the hand gliding fantasy and Lord of The Rings falcons picking up burning explosives. I am dropping it. Maybe at some later time I will go back just to see what they came up with yet to end this.
I want to watch anothe Lui Yu Ning drama, loved him!
tomorrow season 2 of Eternal Brotherhood is starting. The three "idiots" were awesome in S1 and LYN was just starting to get his main roles when they shot this. His role in Heros was pretty challenging as well

I use mostly mydramanovel but any link posted here under the title (as a chat called most likely Drama Source Link or something like that) will guide you to the sites with tons of the original and translated stuff
Did anyone else care about Qiao Fan's death scene? I was emotionally drained because of WL so I didn't much care…
It was consistent with the script, but like you I checked out at the killing of WL. The two dudes killing Liu Yan scene was atrocious. Everything afterwards was just blah. Like with Love in the Desert this will stay with me only as a series of pretty actors, costumes, vistas and interiors.
Need suggestions for another drama to help me move on. Any recs?
I was not happy with the adaptation of the novel to start with, but they did a decent job of creating totally new characters in the drama based on the general premise in the book. So, I am finishing Legend of Zang Hai, which I did not read, but put on my to read list while reading Chasing Jade. Reading - in my case- takes the edge off from passively watching something. If you feel like reading about a kickass FL I can strongly recommend the novel Deng Hua Xiao.
Yes, but it’s not too much in the forefront. It has been slowly developing on the side, quite nicely too in…
I do hope it will not take over the plot. I can understand the reason for throwing the relationship with a woman into the mix but I am really interested in his dedication and struggles. Romance could make it less
