Now lots of 🙏🙏🙏 that he finally gets a good 2nd ML role and based on 1st photos of script-reading, there's a good chance.

It's not really considered an "office" drama - no office politics, no grand scheming. It's more "slice of life" in an office venue. And Korean food eateries - lots and lots of Korean food (my mouth waters in some of the scenes).

I am equally obsessed with this drama - so obsessed that I purchased the Script Book (1000 pages, 2 volumes) for the series and I have spent the last week translating (with my phone) various scenes and the writer's "commentary" section to glean further insight. I started a weekly report over on Dramabeans, but to answer your question about Jin-su, here is what I mentioned yesterday:

***Lee Jin-su: Extremely intelligent with highest grades among new employees at Sanin. Fluent in Chinese and French. Notably, he is not listed in the 3-page character list but Namu Wiki says he graduated from Yonsei University [one of the 3 SKY Universities]. Unlike Kwak Min-yeong and the attorney, the viewer knows nothing about his family.
From the Script Book: Jin-su lives in a “mansion” in Pyeongchange-dong [my research: frequently called the Beverly Hills of Seoul]. But this was never directly shown in the drama – merely implied due to the housekeeper, etc.
When Jin-su was interviewed for a position on the M&A team, he noted that his independent stock trading club had realized a 700% return. This caught Juno’s attention because [Translation- so might be incorrect]: “Juno may have made a negative and unreasonable investment in Jinsu’s 700% profit” [Implication: Juno lost $$ while Jinsu gained?]. “There is another reason why Jinsu made a 700% profit but it’s the same in Season 2. If season 2 is made”. [Confusing but the throw-away line about 700% profit is apparently a plot point in Season 2.]***

As for Theo - he's the black sheep in the family and my belief is that he was behind the Jumbo Pharma scam (he was in the US at the time). Someone knew that Mr. Ha was the perfect dupe for the Jumbo Pharma scam - who? Re-watch the first scene (ep. 3 I believe) where Ha meets with David and Theo. Once I re-watched that scene with the theory that Theo was behind it, the scene made more sense. He wants to wrest control away from his father and he's using Samoel to do it [again, re-watch the scene in Ep 7 or 8 where Ha is asking for more money]. Ju-no is still determined to find out who was the original plotter of Jumbo.

After re-watching many scenes and reading parts of the script, I think writer is establishing foundation for Yun ju no to be illegitimate son of the Chairman. If I watch with that in my mind, so many odd things make sense.

Caveat: altho the foundation is there, everything was subtle enough that they could change the plot going forward. From the Script Book (paraphrasing) - Three seasons were originally planned and Season 1 was drafted for 16 episodes. But they (not sure who?) reduced it to 12 episodes. That caused a problem because they had already decided what the FIRST scene in Season 3 would be. So, some re-write/re-plot will be required but after those gangbuster ratings, I don't think there is any doubt there will be future seasons.

I agree with you about the writing - excellent and no "WTF" moments when the viewer is essentially told to forget about something said or done in earlier episodes.

Thanks for info. VPN may be legal in US, but if there are no subs, then not worth the trouble. Plot doesn't look interesting (to me) but was hoping to see how much Arin has matured since AoS.

3-4 weeks ago, I sat down to do a re-watch, assuming that I would FF through quite a bit of it. But, I had forgotten about all of the whimsical, quirky, scenes amongst all of the characters I forgot about how the writers wrote both the village characters and rich family characters as more than one-note personalities. Only two truly evil characters. A year ago, the fan battles raged between Team Hyun-woo and Team Hae-in as to which one was "mis-understood" or the true hero/heroine. It was a non-stop roller-coaster of plots, emotions and outrageous turn-of-events. Very, very enjoyable re-watch.

I just started to re-watch. I forgot what a crazy, roller coaster ride it was - and I'm only at Ep. 10. More craziness to come.

A year ago - after the dreadful, awful "Live Your Own Life", I swore off all week-end KBS dramas. But I discover that not only favorite Jung Il Woo is starring in this, but also Yoon Hyun Min (another favorite).

So, it's on the Watchlist. If it devolves into the standard one ML is "good" and one is "bad", then I'll drop like a hot potato.

The director indicated he met someone with premature grey hair who claimed it was caused by stress and he thought the white/silver hair would be a major distinction for the drama's main character. However. . . the fact that Ju-no was going grey in his early '30s (and his older brother was NOT), definitely opens up the possibility that they are not related. [During a recent re-watch, I noticed many subtle hints that he is Chairman's illegitimate son. The groundwork has been laid if they decide to go that route in Season 2.]

Confession time: I fell sleep in Ep 3. Ep 1/2 were good intro, but if every weekend "story" turns out to be the same (bad guy(s) punished because truth about innocent victim ghost is revealed) is .. . . .nothing unique or compelling.

I never watched Season 1 (and it's unlikely I ever will), but I enjoyed Season 2, primarily because of the comradery amongst the taxi team. Korean dramas are leaning into the "episodic" (i.e. one case per weekend PLUS over-arcing mysterious plot) and it definitely helps support multiple seasons.

I arrived at Taxi Driver because of Lee Jee Hoon in "Art of Negotiation" - which also used the one case/one weekend stories. I'm rather stunned at how different the character of Ki Do Ki differs from Yum Ju No, which of course is the mark of a very talented actor

The entire ending was a major hint that a 2nd season is probable. Not only the return of CRO Ha, but also Jun no telling his sunbae that he (sunbae) needed to earn his keep - that is, he has plans for him. Second, the scene with Dr. Park and Theo. Just waiting for the studio/JTBC to announce at this point - which could be months, but hopefully not years.

The CEO of Samoel is David (no known last name). According to the JTBC character description, Song Theo is David's "helper".

For starters, the ML is married so writer was careful to not hint at romance between the ML and FL.

More like a camaraderie between two longtime co-workers. According to the JTBC website, he trusts her more than anyone and she is 100% loyal to him. There are frequent hints that they understand each other more than any others.

Also vague hints that ML's wife is not emotionally attached to him. She definitely doesn't understand him as well as the FL. However, the status of his marriage is actually irrelevant in Season 1 plot.

I'll stay away from spoilers and hopefully get through the 1st 9 episodes before the last release. Thanks.
