NOT A SPOILER - The story continues to next season. But damn the producers! they didn't announce season 2. The…
The current rating of 8.1 is actually an INCREASE from a few weeks ago when it was sitting around 7.7 due to large number of early ratings of 1⭐ from people who only watched the 1st couple of episodes. Season 2 hasn't been green-lit yet, but since the drama did so well in South Korea and the streaming services (Viu and Viki), it's all but assured to happen - can't be soon enough for me. 😊

David is honest, as far as the viewer knows. It’s Theo who has been behind everything. CFO Ha is incompetent…
It's not out of nowhere. I wasn't sure about Theo's status in the drama until the episode where he suggested giving Sanin the KRW50 Million additional loan provided DOUBLE the shares in Sanin was issued as collateral -- his boss (David) wasn't very supportive but finally agreed. . Theo wants those Sanin shares.

Theo's father has said he does not intend to leave the company to his children. Of course, Theo wants those shares to take over Sanin.

Of course, I could be wrong. I hope we don't have to wait 10 years for the next season.

Just started episode 1, what's with the dramatic/terrible bgm? Giving me a headache.. Please tell me it gets better?
The background music in first couple of episodes was distracting, but it pretty much disappears . . . .until a couple of the scenes in the final.

I loved/adored this drama so much that I was able to turn down the volume, concentrate on the subs and sit back to enjoy the actual story, the carefully crafted personalities, the well-written plots (both primary and secondary) - a terrific package. I hope you enjoy the ride.

JTBC posted a video with the main actors saying good-bye to viewers and thank-you for watching to the end. English subs are now available.

Almost all of the actors said that they hope there will be a Season 2, so clearly it was already a significant point of discussion back in December when they finished filming. Now it's up to the studio/production company to give the green light/funding.

I have a question please 🙏 The amount being quoted keeps changing for me. For instance in the game acquisition…
I watch on Viki and the amounts are given (sub-titles) in terms on "won" (as in Korea Won, KRW or ₩ ). Therefor, the amount in debt (owed to banks) was KRW11 Trillion.

KRW11 Trillion is equal to approx. 750 Billion dollars and many people (including MDL) simply remove the last three zeros (000) to provide an approximate number. So, for example, they write it as 11 billion dollars ($11 billion).

Title The Art of Negotiation Spoiler
I just started the serie and I'm asking for a little spoiler. Will the wife from Yoon Joo-No also be seen? Will…
She appears in only a handful episodes. Her name is Park An-na. The director said that the marriage is not part of the story, it merely establishes that Jun-no is married and therefor romance, emotional conflict, etc. with other characters will not be part of the drama.

I hope you enjoy this drama - it is one of my all-time favorites.

I wonder what's await for season2?? because there's definitely a season2!!in the family portrait of Song Jae Sik…
My guess is that Season 2 will be the battle to save Sanin so that the KW3 Trillion Convertible Bonds can be either paid or re-negotiated. In the drama's timeline, it ended in December 2024 and the bonds are due in March 2025. (Looks like Baby will also be born around the same time).

We don't know much about Theo, but clearly he is Chairman's son - the son that Chairman does not wish to inherit. During the Jumbo Pharma debacle, Theo was in the USA. Gossip maintains that he is still in the US. Does the Chairman know if his son is back in Korea? The viewer doesn't know and there is no indication that HE knows. In fact, based on Theo's determination to get majority ownership of Sanin, I doubt it.

Mr. Ha is a puppet and Theo is the puppet master, using him to try and. . . . .who knows, but it's clear that Theo wants majority ownership of Sanin and will do whatever he can to ensure Sanin cannot extend the Bonds.

Can someone explain the ultrasound scan scene for me? Who were they and what did it mean?
The woman's name is Park Eun Chae. She is the daughter of Dr. Park (the medical doctor of SONG Jae Sik - the Chairman of Sanin). She first appeared in Ep. 2 and then again in. . . Ep 8 or 9?. She skipped highschool and enrolled immediately in medical school. She is 24 years old and recently completed her medical residency at the age of 24 years old which is quite remarkable, even for brilliant Koreans. When we first viewed her (Ep. 2 ), she was NOT wearing a wedding ring.

The man is Song Theo - the apparent son of SONG Jae Sik, chairman of Sanin. Chairman Song has declared that he does not intend to leave his company to his children. He is the presumed father of Park Eun Chae's baby. We don't know anything more than that - are they married? did they meet when Song Theo was is the USA?

The potential conflict? Too many to count, but the baby is a boy. A SON. Who might be an heir to Sanin. So many plots that writer-nim could choose.

The drama was surprisingly interesting for a business theme, but I didn't feel like the last episode was the last…
Pure speculation on my part, but I think the main villain is actually Theo - the Chairman's son.

No. Not in netflix.
It was licensed to Viu (southeast Asia) and Viki (North/South America) , so unlikely to be on Netflix

If they really want to do a season 2, it still works to have season 1 end properly and then use the teaser scenes…
Yoon Jun-no was victorious because he found the Korean culprit (Dr. Go) and justice for his brother was final. So, from my standpoint, Season 1 did end properly.

Episode 12 was VERY long - over 1.5 hours. They could have easily omitted the board room scene if they didn't have a strong desire/quasi commitment to produce Season 2.

Fans will now be clamoring for Season 2 - and since Episode 12 had awesome ratings, I'm crossing my fingers. And I HOPE that all of the Main Actors signed option contracts in the event Season 2 gets a go-ahead.

I've been gone most of the day, but just saw the ratings! Awesome.

Sunday, April 13
All Country: 10.3
Seoul/Metro: 11.3

Breaking 10% in both markets is a real positive for a Season 2.

I hope there will be a Season 2 like it was teased and Director Ha and David wind up in jail.
David is honest, as far as the viewer knows. It’s Theo who has been behind everything. CFO Ha is incompetent , so the season 2 battle will be between Theo and jun-no.

I'm pretty sure Jun-ho will be exonerated and CFO Ha will get the justice he deserves.

The real question will be. . . who w/in the United States was behind the scheme to target Sanin and will it be revealed today?

Why do I feel like Joo No is not telling them the whole story. Wasn’t his brother who was involved in that Jumbo…
The Jumbo Pharma CEO tried to lay a trap for Jun-no when he offered the cash bribe to the brother (who refused to take it). I think he was hoping it would "buy" Jun-ho's support for the deal.

When that didn't work, the CEO may have issued a stock certificate for 50,000 shares in Jumbo Pharma - to provide for a different trap (the same trap he offered CFO Ha - actual stock, instead of money).

I agree that Lee Ji Hoon acting choices in this drama can be somehow polarising... he is the only one in the whole…
I've never seen Lee Ji Hoon in any drama before but I find him spectacular ini this drama.

Is this drama really ending tomorrow? Are the issues going to be resolved or get an open, unresolved ending, which…
I think justice will be served - on CFO Ha and for Jun-ho's brother. But as for the ultimate culprit?? Crossing fingers for a Season 2.

This show is so good and I’m sad that it’s ending this weekend. I hope we can get a 2nd season. It’s a business-related…
It's still a 10⭐ for me, but if they do stupid time skip or pull something totally out of left field (that is, no hints previously), I'll drop my rating.
