No he can't negotiate and work alone because he doesn't know everything and also except the intern everyone in…
According to JTBC web site, she IS his wife. Her name is Anna Park. To be revealed - what was her relationship with Jun-ho's brother?? something more than "sister-in-law", apparently. I don't like her.
Oh that's a surprise, I was expecting it to be another long ep!
I checked the JTSB schedule and Episode 6 will be much longer. I'm hoping that after they wrap up WIND, we will see the beginning of Jun-ho's plan for revenge. But heck, maybe it will be nothing more than the wife showing up. Either way, I expect the end of Ep. 6 (halfway mark) to be a pivot to the long stories - Jun-hos plan for revenge and the ongoing battle for control of Sanin.
Episode 5 was a bit shorter than usual (1 hour 5 minutes) and almost 100% focused on the newest "deal" that Jun-ho must accomplish.
Some lovely scenes in Japan, but lots of dialogue was a mixture of Japanese, Korean and English. I wish Viki didn't eliminate the Korean sub-titles when characters were speaking Japanese.
I'm ready for the deal-making to end and the battle for control of Sanin to begin.
Is she really his wife? I personally thought it was his brotherβs wife and he was trying to take care of his…
The JTBC web site specifically states that Anna Park is "Juno-ho's wife". And that the young girl is "Jun-ho's daughter".
Their story could go in a variety of directions and based on current dialogue (ep 1-4), the photos and the scene at the columbarium, the one that will make the most sense is that she cheated on Jun-ho w/the brother and the daughter is not his. But that's pure guess and lots more to be revealed, I'm sure.
Jun-ho's wife: According to JTBC website, the woman/child in Ep. 3 are actually. . . .his wife and daughter.
Wife's name is "Anna Park".
Side note: Rumors (which may mean nothing) from Episode 1: "It is rumored that Mr. Yun is the heir." "The Chairman has a secret daughter and he will marry her off to Mr. Yun and that is why he won't pass ownership to his children".
I'm currently at the 2nd episode and the current Chairman gives me creepy vibes? Is he a good person or is it…
He's good.
One reason I like this drama is that the writer/director doesn't spell everything out for the viewer. A lazy writer would have a third person(s) making comments like: The Chairman is trying to maintain his youth; he doesn't realize that times have changed; desires to hold onto his comfort zone; etc.
instead, the viewer watches: (i) many examples of Chairman appearing health-conscious (hiking, injections, back massage) (ii) asking the young female doctor to writer her name in Chinese characters (very old-school) (iii) Resists innovation (I'm not sure we have ever seen him using a computer or smart phone?); eating at neighborhood noodle houses with his old friend Lee. (iv) he doesn't lead meetings or conduct press conferences (meetings are almost all one-on-one)
At one time he was definitely married (according to former co-workers) and he continues to claim to be married.
Writer-nim is clearly playing some tricks on the viewer with introduction of woman/child scene. I fully expect the wife to show up in the last episode - perhaps even the last few minutes of the last episode.
so episode 4 was fineeeeeeeeeee .... I really liked the description of human predictability ... that was nice…
Pretty sure the child and his mother (?) are in somewhere tropical (Hawaii?) based on the decor. Based on photos in the (columbarium) she is somehow related to his brother that committed suicide - perhaps wife, perhaps a sister? He called him "hyeong)" [older brother].
For my peace and sanity, I ended this drama right at episode 19π
The original plan was for 20 episodes and it's clear to me that the Dang-gu/Cho Yeon wedding was intended to be the finale. And then some dumb f**k idiots realized they were going over budget and needed 10 more episodes to hopefully break even. [Of course, the excuse was they needed 10 more episodes to fully flesh out the characters - the characters that 100% changed personality in Season 2). I still can't forgive them - Hong Sisters, Studio Dragon - I'm not sure where the blame lies.
They changed her personality completely too. I think of s2 as a completely diffrent drama. So disappointing
What uvimolla said. Season 1 was incredibly unique - cinematography, script, actors, CGI. Season 2 was clearly on a reduced budget (especially CGI) and script was a mess. 3 years later and I still can't forgive the studio for the mess they created because "we need more $$$" to break even so we're going to add 10 more episodes.
So glad I found this drama. Especially loving seeing so many older veteran actors in various roles.
A few small complaints (no, not the music) including why the costume dept. was styling the Kwak Min Jeon character in such drab, almost sexless clothes - and then mid-way thru Ep. 3, this rather attractive (as in eye make-up and cheek/lip color), casually dressed woman appeared and it took a few seconds to realize it was Min Jeong. If she and the lawyer were essentially ostracized as a result of Ju No's "banishment" (still not clear on that), I hope we will learn more background for both of them.
Does anyone remember how many years Jun Ho was "off-shore" (Hawaii)???
He is not sus in evil way I think that hae seong father is dead and he know all about this may be that's why
I don't think the uncle would have betrayed the former NIS/security guard. Kong Jin Sang [NIS team 1 team leader] is the nosy one and a more likely candidate.
Agree with you that Dad is alive - this show is too goofy/ridiculous to end on a tragic/bittersweet note. My pet theory is amnesia - Dad knew the 4th Urban Legend (because of his poster wall), and everyone, good and bad, is hoping that his son - Hae Seong - will figure it out. Another pet theory is that it has something to do with the "observatory" which I bet the viewer will learn about in Ep. 11. π

Personally, I wasn't impressed with the wife.

Great episode, however.
