I loved it! <3 It was so cute, great acting and awesome chemistry between the leads :D
There was even a kiss scene! xD Ok it wasn't the greatest kiss scene ever, but I totally swore that they weren't going to show one, since the leads had multiple times, they could kiss and they did not.
I would have not mind if they did not show one' as the sexual tensions between them, their hugs, touching and their gazes towards each other were satisfying <3 I loved them ^_^
I wish it was longer >_<
Btw, this was my first Korean BL drama, as I usually watch Thai BL dramas. I'm hoping I'll find more Korean BL dramas or movies :)
I really liked it in general. For the story, I really enjoyed as it really had hilarious moments.
However, it did start to drag in the middle of it. Also, it was nothing new or original. It is quite predictable.
I also loved how in the story, they had serious moments, but since it was a light drama, and expected it to be that way, they transitioned them into lighter mood afterwards.
For the characters, I loved them all. I especially loved the main women in this drama. They are all strong, courageous and awesome in their own ways. I loved the characters of Changle, Nong Ying and Zhu Yan.
For the couples. I loved the chemistry and romance of the Changle and the Crown Prince. They were so cute and awesome together <3
I also loved Nong Ying and Gong Sun Mo, they were so cute as well. I really hated that they killed Nong Ying. I really cried at that scene. I wish that they had a happy ending, after all they went through. I knew that Gong Sun Mo would plant a tree for her.
For Zhu Yan and Li Heng. They were cute together, I found them that way in the beginning. However, Li Heng was so focused on revenge, that he totally ignored Zhu Yan and did not trust her at all, especially when she told him the truth on how they got seperated. Ok, if I was in his shoes, I would probably do the same. However, if he stopped to think, while he was in power, he could have taken Zhu Yan and left. Anyway, they got their happy ending.
For the villains, they got what they deserved.
I also loved the acting, the production, the martial arts scenes, the costumes, the modern music which was suitable to make the drama light and the background.
I do recommend watching the drama, especially if you are looking for something light. However, it is nothing special, new or memorable. It did start to turn politicial in the middle of it, that I had to pause this drama many times, as I found it boring. However, I loved the couples and it is enjoyable overall ^_^
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
Yes, in the drama, it does not make sense as Wei Ying was definitely recognizable. I think it's a production tatic as well, so the viewers can easily identity the actor playing as Wei Ying. Also, I agree with you, PDs have their own reasons.
Yes that's an interesting theory, maybe Wei Ying's face and Mo Xianyu's face are similar and these characters could be played by the same actor.
Yes, definitely the novel is better in details.
For their appearance. They are not immortal. However, since they are cultivators, meaning they develop their golden core; their growth slows down and even after 16 years passed, their appearance would most likely to have remained the same or changed slightly.
I forgot about that detail. Maybe Wei Ying has stronger power than Lan Shizui, so he could use his sword. Or as you said, there are only few swords, that could be only used by their owners.
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
Yes, in the novel, Wei Ying got resurrected in the body of Mo Xianyu and so he took the body and face of Mo Xianyu.
In the drama, Wei Ying kept his original body and face, and yes in the drama, he wears a mask to hide his face, so that they would not recognise him.
When I saw the drama, and the part where Wei Ying got resurrected in the body of another person; I was like; 'Why did he get his original body and face, if he took another person's body?'
I did not like that part as it did not make sense, and then when I read the novel, I was like; 'Ok, I was right, Wei Ying takes the body and face of Mo Xianyu.' It makes more sense this way.
Anyway, we can say that in the drama, they wanted to leave the same actor.
Btw, enjoy reading it ^_^
You will find some parts in the novel, different from the drama. But, I loved both the drama and the novel. Or maybe I'm biased because I saw the drama first and the drama helped me visualize in the novel ;)
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
You're right, technically JiangCheng's sword should have rejected him, since the golden core inside him wasn't his. However, he still used it. Or maybe we can assume that his sword still recognised Jiang Cheng.
However, the focus wasn't on the sword, as after Wei Ying resurrected, Jiang Cheng mostly used his mother's purple lightining as a weapon.
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
You're welcome ^_^
Definitely read the novel. Also, if you love BL romance, you get to read the romance between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan <3
After Wei Ying got resurrected, the Suibian sword did recognise Wei Ying, even after he lost his golden core. However, he could not use it to its full potential since he had no golden core.
Since Wei Ying had transfered his golden core to Jiang Cheng, the Suibian sword recognised the golden core of Wei Ying, that is now inside Jiang Cheng. That is why Jiang Cheng could use his own sword and the Suibian sword.
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
You're welcome :) It's always nice to share my thoughts ^_^
I did read the novel, but there wasn't any explanation about the Nie Clan Swords either. Maybe you can say that the spirits are rebellious and have a mind of their own.
To be honest, from the drama, there were lots of confusing things or things that I did not get immediately. But when I read the novel, some things got clearer or were much explained better in the novel than in the drama. Even in the anime, there are some things that are explained better than in the drama.
For the temple part, I agree that in the drama, it had confusing moments. In the novel, in my opinion, it's explained much better.
For the evil sword that turned into the Chenqing Flute. I think the weapon changes shape according to the master's desire of weapon. I think that since Wen Ning could not use his Suibian sword; since he gave his golden core to Jiang Cheng, he may have started to disregard swords and instead chose a flute as his choice of weapon.
Yes I wish there were further explanation about how he plotted it all too, last episodes were too focused on Meng…
I'm think that it's only the Nie Clan swords spirits that need to be suppressed since their ancestor or the one who started the Nie clan was a butcher. I'm assuming that since he was butcher who killed animals, he had a violent and murderous aspect and so this passed on to his descendants.
This is my opinion as it's not explained in the drama or the movie. Also, it does not make sense, as I'm writing my thought, as why should butchers have a violent aspect? That's what I came up with anyway.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think Nie Huai Sang had allies. He was really witty and wanted to get revenge for his brother's death.
So, to fool Meng Yao, who was also really witty and clever as well; Nie Huai Sang had to fool everyone else. He fooled us, the viewers as well.
That's why we got a huge surprise in the last 2 episodes of the Untamed. At least, I totally did not expect that of him. If there were hints during the drama, I did not pick them up at all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the last words that Wei Ying said to Nie Huai Sang. I'm not sure, but maybe since Wei Ying befriended evil or relied on evil to survive and get revenge; Wei Yong lost himself and even died.
Maybe, since Wei Ying realised that Nie Huai Sang was the ultimate mastermind and got his revenge; those words were meant to give Nie Huai Sang a warning and to be careful. Especially since the Nie clan had already a violent side. I don't know, this is my opinion.
Finished! I really loved it! :D I had this drama in my PTW list for a year, but was never keen on watching it. Yes, ok the plot sounded interesting, but I kind of never really wanted to watch it. I decided to watch it randomly and I found a hidden gem :D
For the story, I really loved the parallel world part. Ok, we never found out why Lee Jae Sang went to the parallel world in the first place after he ended up in a coma in his world, but fantasy plots rarely explain the reasons why things happened.
Anyway, I loved all the cases he helped solve in the parallel world, I loved how he changed for the better, I loved his family and Bo Na (the family parts were really cute, lovely and hilarious), etc.
To be honest, some of the cases, were kind of obvious of who were the culprits and you can guess easily, but there were others that you do not guess at all.
Also, one case of the parallel world, I would definitely always remember, was the case of that young woman who was killed for her heart. She gave up her heart to remove the debt her family was into, and while in the middle of it, she gave her eyes to her blind father. That case was really sad. I would always remember how they found her hand, as it was her wish to be declared dead and not be missing for around 5 years before they declare her dead. She probably did not want to leave loose ends for her dad and to not let him keep wondering whether she was alive or dead.
Also, I loved the part where they showed Lee Jae Sang went back to his own world. For a moment, I thought, they would not show it.
For Lee Jae Sang, I felt sorry for him, as he really found his place and was happy, but it was not his own world. However, I did want him to go back to his own world , wanted him to solve his own problems and mistakes he made in his own world.
I loved how, after Lee Jae Sang went back to his own world, he changed and tried his best to solve his mistakes and arrest the villains. He literally made a 360 degrees change, in the eyes of others, as being in a coma for a month, he changed so drastically.
It was really painful at first, when the team and Si On could not trust Lee Jae Sang at first in his own world. Of course, he was a jerk, in his own world and his drastic change was something they could not believe and Si On even thought, he was a spy. However, little by little, Lee Jae Sang's actions proved that he was a changed man and wanted to do good.
Anyway, the villains got what they deserved and Yoon Pil Woo arrested for all his murders, abductions, etc for all his wrong doings. For Si On and Lee Jae Sang they finally got together, in Lee Jae Sang's world and Si On got pregnant. A happy ending! :D Also, I loved how at the end of the drama, they also showed us the parallel world, where Si On was hospitalised, which means that she did not die in the parallel world and a happy ending for both families in both worlds xD
Btw, I loved all the cast, characters, acting, actions scenes, music, background, story, chemistry and teamwork between the team and the chemistry and romance between the leads ^_^
The end! Defintely, this drama is worth a watch! ^_^
Very interesting article. I agree with all you said.
I had learned some coding during my university days. According to the lecturer, this was really basic and I still found it complicated. I had taken a study-unit to learn about coding to move a simple robot and for me it was not easy.
Yes, ok, I'm definitely not an expert, but from this, I knew that hacking portrayed in dramas is exaggerated and you would definitely get caught or arrested. However, in dramaland I always find them exciting and awesome, and so I enjoy it :)
Can you spoil me about the story about Kang's wife?
You're welcome :) Yes, the story went downhill and twisted. It's a shame as it started really well and the acting, action scenes, etc were all awesome.
Can you spoil me about the story about Kang's wife?
The Chief had found out that Argos or mostly Hwang Deuk Goo were planning to wipe out Kang Gi Beom and also the rest of his family, that is his wife.
So since the chief had his eye on Kang Gi Beom and wanted him to be part of Rugal, the Chief send a collegue and friend (forgot his name) of Kang Gi Beom to ''kill'' her instead.
Apparently, this collegue had talked with Kang Gi Beom's wife about was going to happen, but she did not want to listen, or cooperate and so the collegue hurt her and disguised it as she was killed.
This collegue on his way out of Kang Gi Beom's house, met the killers sent by Hwang Deuk Goo/Argos and they thought he was someone sent by Hwang Deuk Goo. That is why when Kang Gi Beom went back to his house, the guy who stabbed his eyes told him they killed her.
Later on, they sent Kang Gi Beom's wife to the hospital and meanwhile Kang Gi Beom was accused that he murdered his wife.
Kang Gi Beom's wife woke up later in the hospital and she obviously wanted to tell her husband that she is alive and does not agree with the whole scheme the chief made.
So, on the way to tranfer her to another ward, or to the way to the doctor (I don't remember), she ran away from the chief and the collegue of Kang Gi Beom.
The chief meanwhile never told Kang Gi Beom that she is alive, or he devised this whole scheme. He did that to make Kang Gi Beom part of Rugal, make him the ultimate soldier by using the artificial eyes and also use Kang Gi Beom's will for revenge that Argos killed his wife. When in reality, Argos did not kill his wife.
Meanwhile his wife was caught by bad people and I think she ended up working as a prostitue if I understood correctly. Then Hwang Deuk Goo found out that Kang Gi Beom's wife is still alive and told Kang Gi Beom by showing him her photo.
Kang Gi Beom by using his artificial eyes he scanned the photo, tracked her and found her.
Btw, Hwang Deuk Goo had met Kang Gi Beom's wife beforehand, threatened her, and put a small earpiece in her ear.
So when Kang Gi Beom went to get her and take her, she did not want to since Hwang Deuk Goo threatened her. I forgot what he said to her from the earpiece, but she to protect her husband, she went in the middle of the road and got killed by the car, Hwang Deuk Goo sent.
Kang Gi Beom did not know that his wife was threatened and put the whole blame on the chief that his wife was now really dead. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this helps, as I wrote a lot lol. If you want to know something else, you ca ask me :)
Finished! I'm glad I watched this version, I liked it :)
I had watched 2 Moons first and although it wasn't the best ever, I kind of liked it.
Then, when I found out that there is another version of the story, kind like a reboot but with a different cast, I was reluctant to watch 2 Moons 2.
However, after a year, I finally decided to watch 2 Moons 2 and even if it had similar parts to 2 Moons, it still had some differences.
To be honest, I don't remember much about 2 Moons, and even the couples were not that memorable. If I did, from time to time, I would always watch MV's of my favourite BL couples or wished they were shown as a couple (like the Untamed).
Also, if I compare my feeling about the first one and second one, I definitely liked 2 Moons 2 more :)
Btw, I think it doesn't matter which one you first decide to watch. You can watch one of them or both like I did :)
For the couples. My favourite couple were Beam and Forth, they had the best acting and chemistry <3 For Ming and Kat, I warmed up to them later, Ming was especially cute ^_^ For Pha and Wayo, they're cute, but something off between them, I did not like them that much. I'll look forward to 2 Moons 3 :)
Can I watch 2 Moons 2 without watching 2 Moons? Would I miss something important?
Yes you can watch this one first. 2 Moons 2 is like a reboot, as it started the story from the beginning. There are few differences between them and a different cast, but it's basically the same story.
