Appreciate the sharing. I followed the story closely and commented on the marriage factor, above your statement. Was getting ready to say similar things, but you had itemized them well. Was impressed to see someone with discernible knowledge had provided major points.

Fallon, here is a hug 🤗! You are absolutely correct in every word you spoke. Also, it amazes me how these non-sensical attackers, completely overlook Kim Sae Ron’s failed marriage and her returning to chasing Kim Soo Hyun. To continue blaming him for her unfortunate behavior and demise is asinine and unfair.

I actually would consider her a risk from a psychological standpoint. I think that is something we can agree on that her family did not seem to much concern about her at all, and she was financially responsible for them from my understanding. It wasn't until she died that they seem to need another means of support...cough...manufactured evidence...cough cough lol. She did not seem to have the best upbringing and not many people to really rely on. She would be an easy target imo. That's actually the main reason I have the psychological concerns about their relationship because I feel like she would be a big risk factor for an abusive relationship, especially with someone that much older, at only 19 with as many responsibilities that she had on her shoulders as well.

I wonder if their is a psychological analysis of this case? Not sure if you know. Mostly it seems to be internet discourse and people like you who look at it form a legal standpoint. I would be very intrigued how a psychologist would look at this case.

Thanks for this review, you managed to summarize a lot of my thoughts more eloquently than I could! I haven't read the novel, but your commentary on it made me realize what the show was missing. The narrator did provide some of the internal thoughts, but not enough. Not being able to understand the character's motivations made it frustrating to watch, and one of my favorite things is to psycoanalyze characters.

I could understand Fan Xiao to an extent, piecing together his behavior from his family experience and how he'd been victimized, but Bei Lvqing was quite difficult to figure out a lot of the time. Since you can't hear any internal monologing, they had to sell it with behavior and expressions instead. This is where it failed for Lvqing. Sure, he liked eating the soup everyday. Sure, he defended Fan Xiao when he was bullied. But where were the small affectionate motions? I think the most he did was pet Fan Xiao's head or stroke the back of his neck. He had maybe 3 facial expressions. He waffled between cold indifference and full on desire, with no in-between.

I am under the impression that Fan Xiao didn't truly love Bei Lvqing in the traditional sense, but rather thought he loved him because Lvqing gave him a purpose and showed some affection, which the narrator of the show had said something about in the earlier episodes. Fan Xiao had such low self esteem/ self worth that when he finally has someone who shows some appreciation, he dedicates himself to him.

Also the miscommunication trope can only last for so long before becoming tiring and frustrating. I was halfway through this series and was wondering how they could stretch it to 12 episodes. The payoff wasn’t worth it at all, and the characters hardly had any character development. Fan Xiao started diminutive and submissive and pretty much ended the same, except smarter. Bei Lvqing started cold and commanding and remained that way until the last 10 minutes of the final episode. How was I supposed to root for them?

You need different pills to sleep, as your dreams are totally the opposite of the reality. Ah, yes, you do not read the news, you do not need it. I make a resumé for you: the police invertigated him and found he didn't have any relationship with that girl when she was under age, the accusations made the YouTuber Kim Se Ui (in prison waiting for his trial for defamation) and Sae Ron's mom (who was her manager when she was young and the administrator of her incomes) and that you repeat make the police and the prosecutors investigate and they concluded they committed a crime. @Learner I agree with everything you said. They still insist that KSH somehow “bought” the lawsuits and the police simply because he’s wealthy. But they conveniently leave out a few details: Garosatan is wealthy too and comes from a well-off family, and the brands that sued KSH have considerable resources as well. Yet, somehow, in this story, KSH is apparently the only one rich enough to “buy” lawsuits and the police. Flawless logic… if you look at it with a little sense of humor. 😏

They didn't indicted him or anything because the evidence were proven fabricated.

I haven't seen any logical argument from those who write against this actor. I just saw that they continue to call him names that those who put them on their lips have failed to prove, although they will have the opportunity to do so next month as I understand it will start with the trial or something

I’ve only seen him in Queen of Tears (currently watching) so far but even from just that it’s clear he’s an incredible talent.
