Okay i have a lot of thoughts after ep 5. The biggest one is why the ml feels like the usual sml in this show lol...for one, the entire plot itself and how the celebrity first love who the fl is actually interested in is the sml here which is a novel concept and i love, but then the ml is someone who embodies the usual borderline creepy sml traits 😅😅coz if u take away all the romantic music and Kang Hoon's handsomeness, what he's been doing with Dareum can classify as grade A creepy behavior. Like imagine if he was a potbellied older CEO assuming his employee doing employee things means she is interested in him, calling said employee on an unofficial secret work trip and holding sustained hand contact while tying knots together, especially when the fl has done absolutely nothing to show she's interested from her own pov to the viewers, and not to mention how he seemed to suddenly sprout feelings for the fl with no real reason only after he assumed she liked him too unlike the sml's reason which is more believable, and the preview did him no favors either with how he was throwing his friend under the bus to get the girl, seemed really cheap...i'm not denying Dareum herself is an airhead and doing questionable things with both the male characters but at least it's been established that this is how Dareum is with everyone from day 1 unlike the ml, and I usually dont have a problem with suspending some disbelief but this behavior from a character who is supposed to be the ml of the show is kinda not looking too great for me right now. Especially coz i cant stop thinking how much he resembles the usual sml arc lmao

Wholesome adorable drama full of feel good moments. It's meant to be seen in a lighthearted manner, not to be taken too seriously. That's the best way to enjoy shows like this! Thank you to the makers :)))

The parallel between park hae kang and lee chung won makes a classically compelling hero vs villain arc. Both had traumatic childhoods, but one learnt to value people and relationships over momentary materialistic gain while the other only learnt to value money, prioritizing conditional relationships for what he thought would be permanent wealth. Ultimately these choices end up being both the hero's savior and the villain's downfall 🤷‍♀️

Yup that's what i thought too, it was totally random but the fact that they didnt do a preview for the final episode and with just the general direction of the show, like another comment mentioned, i feel like this could be planned by them probably to throw the main villain off somehow? It did feel really strange that chung won simply left all that cash lying around in a random apartment like that without monitoring it somehow. Park hae kang might've seen something coming!

This sounds a lot like the new lee junhyuk drama that's about to air...hopefully it ends up being unique...

Think this show needs "multiple couples" in the tags, especially since it's so beyond rare for a kdrama to feature that lol

Would love to see him in a proper slow burn melodrama like Chocolate...i think he'd be perfect for roles that have a lot of yearning haha!

I liked her pairing with jung hae in too...just that the plot failed them both and could've been much better. I'd love to see her with some of the names u mentioned too especially ji chang wook but also park seo joon and kim seon ho...I've been manifesting for yearss 😭😭

They always give the sml a tragic past, make him likeable enough to not hate him, passive enough to never set real boundaries with anyone and then give him the most so-close-u-almost-had-her moment to boot so now how exactly do i not feel bad for the sml here, especially when he's played by someone as lovely and soft spoken as cha woo min ughhh😭😭😭

But at the same time, it couldn't be more obvious that hagi is the bigger star in both the sml and fl's lives lol. They literally spent the whole dinner talking about him lmao...

I do feel like the sml tho has bigger demons he needs to deal with like DNX before he can properly meet anyone in a romantic relationship and give them the sincerity they deserve. He's clearly still hurting from the disbanding and might be holding onto what he thinks might be his last connection to the group through dareum, a longtime fan of the group.

The sfl is definitely the weakest link in the show so far. I wish she had a stronger arc and characterization to maybe even support a second love track with the sml but she's just the cliche crazy ex and doesnt seem to have much more to offer at least as of now...would've loved to see them start off merely coworkers, have her confess and take that rejection well and still show up for the sml and have them slowly find their way to each other in the end 🥹

Looks like cooking themed dramas are the new ghost seeing lawyer trope in Kent haha...from tastefully yours to bon appetite to kitchen soldier and think there's an ahn hyo seop drama coming out later this year too and now this show, i'm not complaining. I personally love this genre way better than the ghost theme coz of how creative they've been with it so far lol
