I liked ep 2 much better! That film dialogue remix was iconic, like witnessing the next big kdrama pop cultural meme in the making in real time...it was that iconic π€£π€£
I've always found heo namjun a really interesting actor since i first saw him in your honor. He just brings out these really unique expressions i've never seen on any other actor's face ever. He has a really dynamic face and an engaging body language, this "arrests your interest coz you dont know what he's going to do next" kind of thing. I'm really glad to see him in a lead role!
Im jiyeon is super memorable here. She is so effortlessly funny, doesn't look like she's trying too hard but still hits all the right beats every time. I had a tough time connecting to her character in ep 1 but the dialogue in ep 2 where she says she's going to honor the person whose body she now lives in made me instantly see her in a more positive light. She surely has integrity and it shines through scene after scene the more u watch. Great character depth already!
I'm not too keen on time travel dramas in general and the backstory feels very My Demon-esque already and very predictable. But i'm really enjoying their present day dynamics so I personally hope they focus on that more π
I have a useless theory π but here it goes: I honestly think BWS is not only too shy but heβs also a little…
Wasn't he really shy and awkward at first with the lovely runner scenes too? The bts is pretty evident...but then he got progressively more confident throughout. Also this is only his 2nd romance show despite his long career. He isn't at that ji chang wook or seo in guk level of back to back romance dramas yet so it's natural that he still feels a bit self conscious in this drama regardless of the costar.
Eui ju's own dialogues r way better than her teacher-inspired BL ones lmaoo..."everyone has a special someone who makes their heart sink at least once"...like hello, girl?? Pls use this in ur fiction writing? π π
Wow this has to be the worst love triangle this year so far. The sml had his whole life to tell her but he's always chosen himself before her which is reason enough to flag him in the red flag category.
I'm loving everything else tho, especially the leads and their relationship. Yian being the reason Huiju patches up the rough history with her family is also a meaningful addition. The both of them r a solid team and each other's ride or die. I'm glad they found each other and I'm rooting for their happily ever after ^^
The baby king breaks my heart tho. I'm glad Yian has finally let go of all his inhibitions and accepted the little king's protection and responsibility completely. It's relieving to know that this young kid has at least one sane adult on his side who allows him to just be a kid. The queen mother has to be the worst excuse of a mother since the fl's mom in sold out on you this year π
We waited so long to get this episode? I didn't like a bit of it,I hate the whole concept of giving up on your…
On the other hand, it was pretty refreshing to see the noble sacrifice come from the fl's side for once lol...i mean if they were gonna do it anyway, i would rather have this than the usual case with the ml π€£ well of course they could've done away without it altogether tho!
Thank god romcoms are finally hitting one after the other this year after a looong slump of disasters for the last few years...i'm so thankful to be able to see the actual relationship develop between the leads step by step (sounds like an obvious need from a romance show but apparently makers have been all about "fated lovers" for the past few years to skip on the actual falling in love part π€¦ββοΈ). It started with spring fever this year for me and has been a steady upward climb since then and sold out on you has to be my new favorite this time!
A big thank you to the makers for not showing pre-installed feelings with lazy writing coz the leads knew each other since they were zygotes or some other lame cop out reasoning. (Now even if they pull a childhood fated connection in this show later on, they've already done a great job building up their relationship that i wouldn't even be mad at it atp...at least it won't be a lazy cop out for poor writing in this case). This is exactly how a romcom should be done, from pacing to writing, everything is perfectly solid so far. The ml is a total greenflag but doesnt feel like the simulator robot green flag types we've been getting these past few years. You can tell he would do the things he does for Yejin for anybody else too because that's the kind of person he is fundamentally (the show already sets this up with his character from the beginning). This gives him individuality as a whole separate human being who exists outside of the fl which is a very big requirement for me to be convinced by a relationship. And the fl falling for the goodness she sees in him, and the ml against his better judgement falling for her too is exactly what i want in my romcoms ππ
Chae won bin is doing so well, I'm really impressed. And ahn hyo seop as always is ever the charmer and has been consistently great with his screen presence so far.
A big thank you again to the creators and the cast for this comforting healing show :"))
I love how this show isnβt trying to do anything revolutionary but is still the best romcom that's airing rn for me. I love everything about it from the great pacing to the formulaic cliches to the comforting healing vibes to the leads and their perfect chemistry. Feels like how I felt while watching Spring Fever all over again. Loving this and hoping more such romcoms come out this year haha...
Only wish Mechoori would tell Yejin about her sleepwalking. I get that it's a plot device but it seems reckless not to tell her considering he saw it himself. Staying up all night expecting her call and visiting her all the way in Seoul every day is plenty enough but it would make both of their lives more easier if he told her this important fact regardless
Why is this man not getting roles?? I genuinely dont understand? I get that the industry is competitive but it always hurts to see a talented actor being sidelined while the same two faces get plastered everywhere all at once
With how successful perfect marriage revenge was i thought the leads would've been everywhere after that but looks like both of them r nowhere to be seen :(( PMR was literally the drama that started the whole revenge marriage trope in mainstream kdramas πͺ
Canβt believe the age gap between the ML and FL is 10 years
Do u mean the actor and actress palying their roles or the characters? Where do they mention the character's ages i think i missed it...eui ju being 18 is mentioned but the not the ml
Okay that kiss in ep 4 is definitely going down as one of the most iconic kdrama kisses in someone's compilation video at some point coz gahdamn gong myung i didnt know u had it in you, pls accept my apologies π€π³π₯
Maybe Iβm the odd one out here. I liked the first two episodes more bcz they felt refreshing for an office romance.…
Oh my god r we the same person?? U literally stole the words out of my mouth word for word π even i wrote about how unique the whole office setup and world building felt for a kdrama last week and this week then feels like a total let down from there :( especially π― on the same old gendered tropes...that's exactly what's happening here. But oh boy can gong myung kiss π« π₯π³ I'll give them that π€£π
