Title Blind
mostly I see from certain sites hate eungi, which is surprising; cuz she atp excel everything done character development-wise…
That's odd, like for once unlike other K-dramas they actually managed to write a useful female character who didn't only exist to be the eternal damsel in distress/blank and meek love interest. She helped the MC a lot, believed him when others didn't, and risked her life to do the right things. She is more on the sharp and logical side too so how come she is hated?! Actually among all three main characters I liked her the most, and it's super rare for me to like a female character in Asian dramas to begin with, let alone like her the most in the whole show.

Title The Golden Spoon Spoiler
Okay so I want to share my opinion about something that truly pissed me off in episode 14. The part where Lee Seungcheon's father called his real son ungrateful for switching his parents and choosing money.

So according to this a poor woman and a poor man fall in love and decide that they are both willing to handle any misery and hurdles they come across with the power of love blah blah
that's fine and all they are free to do whatever they want as long as both are adults and they do it willingly. But then they decide to bring kids to the world and force them to pay the price for their decisions and handle the hurdles and misery with them, even though their kids have nothing to do with it and are the true victims here.

In this drama's case Seungcheon had to go through extreme bullying, humiliation, suffering, had to work hard while still being a minor and a student and on top of it suffer and work hard to get high grades and not get his ass kicked out of school, his best friend committed suicide with his family due to their poverty and I bet the bullying made his friend even more depressed and Seungcheon had to witness the sight of their corpses being taken, had to basically struggle with his love life as well, watch his parents constantly getting harassed by debt collectors displaying how unreliable and pathetic they are which clearly made him angry at his father who did nothing by waste time drawing crap instead of looking for a better job with an actual payment...etc

and all that is why? Cause he was cursed with a poor parents who forced him to inherit their poverty, just like his friend's parents who lead him to commit suicide with them due to them being unable to live and take care of their kid properly.

When Seungcheon gets sick of it and decides to try and live properly like all other rich brats who tortured him and fully use his great brain and talent that he couldn't use at first due to his poverty, he is considered selfish and ungrateful. But the parents who made him go that far aren't selfish at all?! And he is expected to be all grateful and thankful for being forced to handle all that? It's basically like shooting someone who done nothing wrong at all, then asking them to be thankful for it. It's actually surprising that he didn't commit suicide, become a criminal or a thug/delinquent in the end. Instead he tried to improve himself and work hard!

In this plot, the poor parents are loving and supportive so most people will take their side, but isn't that the least they could do? They can't make their kids live properly, so the least they could do is be nice to them and that's not a favor it's their duty as parents. Nothing their kids should be grateful about. If you give birth to a kid then its their right and your duty to have a decent and proper parents, not abusive and cruel ones to add salt to the wound...

I'm this salty cause I myself was cursed with both poor and abusive parents so when I watch stuff like this I can't help but get furious. Nara as well had a fucked up father, yet they make her go all the way to give him money after all what he done to her, why? Cause "he is her father and they are related by blood blah blah" If you don't make your kids happy then you don't deserve any sympathy at all, and shouldn't be considered a parent to begin with. That's my belief. Hence is why some adoptive/foster parents are 100000 times better than the biological ones and more worthy of a parent title.

Of course they had to make the poor father die to make Seungcheon feel even more miserable than he already is and regret his decision for the plot's sake...cool!

They are trying so hard to make him seem kinda like a heartless villain when he is the biggest victim in the whole show.
Nara and Taeyong are clearly also victims but not as pitiful as him, since to be fair both did some evil things in their lives (Nara trying so hard to control Seungcheon, ruining his relationship with Ju Hee, make his parents work for her messed up fake father who treated them like dirt, and Taeyong taking advantage of Seungcheon then almost making him get kicked out of school and humiliating him and his parents in front of everyone) so they aren't as sympathy worthy as Seungcheon.

So the great lessons this plot is trying to teach us is:
1- 99% of rich people are pieces of shit, and 99% of poor people are a sweet and kind hearted victims (Ironically most rich people I met in my life are happy, caring for each other, and live like actual proper families while the poor hate and despise each other and try to get free from each other so...nothing can turn you into a true desperate monster more than hunger, envy, and suffering AKA poverty in this case).

2- It doesn't matter what your parents do wrong and how much depressed they make you, as long as they gave birth to you you should handle it, help and forgive them no matter what and how much shitty they are. Blood is everything and we should always worship parents!

7.5/10 for me honestly.
Lmao sorry, even though I do admit the leads were cute af and their chemistry is great, the plot is too bland and not that unique.

The ending was also very typical, like almost 99% of BL K-dramas end the same damn way. A stupid misunderstanding happens in like ep 10 or 11 due to lack of communication then one of the dudes (Bottom/uke usually) decides to go to the sticks/country side to hide there which forces the other one to run all the way there then give a two-hours long romantic speech about how much he loves his ass and is willing to say fuck everything else, they hug and kiss then the end!

Honestly if it wasn't for their good looks, chemistry, and good acting, I wouldn't even bother giving it more than 4/10 or maybe even less than that.

I just hope that the plot won't drag in the second half and they won't use too much misunderstandings and lack of communication bullshit they tend to use all the time. So far I do admit the main leads chemistry is great and they are really good looking and cute overall, but Nhai is one hell of a pain in the ass and they made him a bit too fragile lmao I know him being a little shit is for the plot's sake, but sometimes it's overdone.

Ikr! Like I have once been hit on my freaking face with a basketball and I didn't even react that much and continued my day normally. Yet Nhai acts as if he got shot, besides the ball hit him on his chest yet he complained about his stomach. The whole thing was so absurd and overdramatic lmao
Also him acting like he became paralyzed whenever they have sex and force Ai to carry him around the apartment...

This drama is about 2 jerks who somehow fall into bed together; then for some reason feel drawn to each other…
Exactly! The plot is ass and all side characters are annoying or bland as hell. Main leads are both shitheads. Like seriously one of them decided to drug then sexually assault the other while he was unconscious and film it all out of jealousy. The other wakes up, attacks him, then takes the footage and threatens him with it which I almost don't blame him for, then they end up falling in love?! Like really? REALLY???!!!!! Are they both mentally ill?!

I thought Thai BL dramas were finally on their way to neglect the toxic tropes and sexual assaults obsession, but here we go again...this drama and check out were absolute trash! I saw many people talking about this drama which made it seem as it's gonna be great, but it was a total waste of time.

But to be fair, of course the leads are good looking, their acting is bearable to watch even though not that good, and chemistry is decent. These are the only good things I can say.

Yeah he is realistic and relatable, not just an innocent goody two shoes.
Yeah I totally think Yeojin and Seungcheon would work much much better together as they relate a lot to and understand each other, so it's easier for them to be honest and support each other, while with Juhee he has to always lie and hide his true self all the freaking time which is exhausting and toxic as hell. Even back when he was still the poor Seungcheon he still couldn't be that honest with her.

Wait, this drama is inspired by real case? What's the case name? I want to read about it...Also if that is the…
Yeah, about the first part. Most people wouldn't do unjust things to get their revenge and teach who harmed them a lesson if the law was actually useful. But law takes the side of the stronger and richer side most of the time, especially in Asian countries and third world countries too. That's why some people lose it and resort to fucked up methods instead.

I mean imagine someone bullied or sexually harassed your child till they died from the excessive beating/abuse or something of the sort, but just cause they are rich as hell they get few years in prison and that's it. In said scenario, if the parents go crazy and try to kill the offender/killer then I wouldn't blame them even though I wouldn't want them to get thrown in jail themselves because of the scumbag.

Though if the killer gets the life sentence or get executed then that might help a lot with keeping the victim's family from reaching that point. It all depends on how the supposedly just system handles the whole thing.

The government can't expect people to stay in line and follow the rules if the rules only make them miserable, and abandon their needs completely, instead of putting everything in order and making sure everyone get their desired justice to avoid chaos.

Now many rich people and ones who got control over said government/country don't give a fuck about that logic so they do what the want and it leads to shit, that's why the ideology can't work properly. Cause you can't really manage to make sure that every human being in the world will follow said rules and live honestly. There is always at least one selfish asshole who will make sure to spread misery.
